Mainly because they don’t have good systems in place. When you enter your phone number for your rewards account it does not show a name (just a first name would be enough and wouldn’t be a security issue) and simply acknowledges the phone number was entered. Yes, this is the fault of my memory, but I entered my cell and that’s not the phone number on our rewards account (under my wife’s number). The rewards didn’t show up. I was using the self-checkout, which I usually do wherever I go without problems. The lady came over and entered a discount so I got the sale price. I voided one item and she cleared that, too, so I could check out. I didn’t see until I got home that I was still charged for the item I didn’t get. I had to go back and went to customer service. I showed my receipt and explained what happened. She was holding my receipt and said I should get $2 back. I knew it was supposed to be just over $2, but I didn’t want to argue about it. When she gave me the money and the receipt back I saw the amount of $2.25 for the item I didn’t get was very clearly printed on the receipt! Why did she only give me $2, especially when I had to make a special trip to get the refund? She should have offered me $3 or $5 or something for the fact I had to return because I was overcharged!!

I always love the people here.But, to be honest they are super expensive most times I buy compared to other grocery stores!! Only once & a while you will find a great deal!! I live close by so its just convenient sometimes🤷

EDIT: A week later and these items on the shelf ARE still expired, we will no longer be shopping at this location. I only got photos of two items today but everything else still listed was expired.Shop here often but yesterday when we went there were SOOOO many shelf stable items expired, some dating back to DECEMBER 2019. We went down a couple different aisles before giving up and just purchasing what we had. Items included pretzels, cereal/rice bars, chips, salsas, peanuts and frozen items!

I wish you would just have the actual price of these items without all of the lies and tickets and games. I know why you do it, its the old ball and cup game. Keep us guessing what the real prices are and we will never remember what we overpaid.

Meat dept consisted mostly of fresh frozen meats. Hard to find something to BBQ for that evening

Nope. Its like as of lately they seem to have hired all the rejects from WinCo. Its a constant now where the cashier really cannot say hello and has to have an entire conversation with the bagger. Its obvious the employees have forgotten the fact that the customer is the reason for theyre work. Even their union rep wont be able to save them oh, very poor quality customer service, especially when nine-tenths of the time thats the only interaction that a customer had is with the cashier. Yall need to step it up!

This Safeway is awesome. Clerks are nice and helpful. Always smiling and great to have conversations with. Theyre often out of stock of things I buy regularly. It really is unfortunate that it is so close to my home but I have to go to another store to buy my cereal, milk at times and a couple of other things for an entire week before it returns to this Safeway.

Great service had everything I needed fast in and fast out. There is a Starbucks inside the store with the best customer service anywhere! The deli carries Boars Head Meats...the best meat & cheese ever.

This is like the Arden Safeway in size but way classier in appearance. All the products are the same as the other Safeways but this one is just super nice compared to a lot of the older stores

This store is amazing! By far the best butchers in town. The checkout people are always fun to visit. The deli is extensive in choice of meats, cheeses and prepared foods. Produce better than nearby Raley’s. Great job, Safeway.

My review is strictly related to receiving my Covid-19 vaccination at the pharmacy, hopefully this will be helpful for others in the area looking to do the same. I feel like the entire process was handled very well, and am overall pleased with the interaction. Setting up the appointment was trivial using the website (its on Albertsons.com, apparently they own Safeway?) and I was able to get an appointment only one day in advance. There was a single informed consent firm that I had to print and fill out before the appointment, the same one that is required everywhere. On arrival, I just had to go to the pharmacy at the rear of the store to check-in, and then I had to just wait a few minutes since I had arrived early. I was then called in to the private room for my shot. The nurse was very pleasant. It took a couple minutes to get my shoulder exposed and sterilized, and then I must have looked away for a second because next thing I knew she was putting a bandaid on me. I swear I never felt a thing. I never really have any issues with shots or giving blood, but this was completely unnoticed. After the shot, I was told that its best to hang out for 15 minutes to make sure there were no adverse reactions so I just chilled out in the waiting room for a bit and then went home. Great experience!One other thing I feel I should give the staff kudos for was the way they handled a more difficult situation with another customer. One of the folks that was there also waiting for an appointment fainted briefly while he was waiting. Im not sure of the details on what happened, but Id guess that the guy probably had some sort of anxiety/panic issue around getting the shot. The staff took excellent care of the young man and kept the situation from getting any more tense for everyone involved. Nothing specific, just handled the situation with calm professionalism and had the man feeling better very quickly. Maybe something you had to experience to understand, but the professionalism was comforting to everyone present. Well played!

Harken ye, and I shall relate the epic of my travels adding the Safe Way. For a number of minutes did I traverse the baked goods, and discovered there a delicious cake of 4 cheeses. Also there were chips.

I got there on time but I got sick early, weak, breathing. , pharmacist told no because us gonna be worst. I was trying to reschedule and another employee say we will let you know when. Few more weeks.

I would have put 5 stars but everytime I go there there is never enough people at the signature sandwich counter to help make sandwiches .

Whatever you do, DO NOT order your child’s birthday cake here. I came to pick up the cake for my 3 year olds party over 2 hours after it was supposed to be done and they had not even started making it. Then the printer was down because they ran out of yellow ink and couldn’t even make what we ordered. Absolutely unacceptable. Safeway has dramatically gone down hill over the last year and my business will forever be at other stores.

It was good, I just hate how much more expensive it is than other stores.

For starters... I must say that its nice that this store is open 24hrs. I came in here to use the restroom then proceed to shopping but wow did my decision change quickly. I went into the restroom only to spot something that looked like a cockroach. I stopped its lights out then went to tell the staff which was lounging around. They seemed to smirk at me and didnt address the situation. I aint coming back to this store even for the midnight purchases anymore. Its your decision but mine is no way!

Shout out to the great butcher crew.Great personal service as always today.However while they were taking great care of me a large man, (manager?)with a shaved head and a red shirt came over and was very inappropriate in front of customers seemed clear that he was threatening their jobs for not having face masks on. I understand policies need to be followed even if it may be an overreaction. But I feel like an effective leader would have a talk to them in private not in front of me.

Ive only been to this location twice since I recently moved to the area, this location is exceptionally clean, well stocked and very well staffed. I had been shopping at the Rst location for 11 years, in that 11 years Ive watched that location sadly deteriorate. When I first visited this location I was very impressed, I t reminded me of what the Rst location used to be like.

Great store! Great pharmacy! Dont like the heavy set female butcher there, shes rude and well just rude! People around me couldnt believe she talked to me the was she did! And here I was trying to buy an 80.00 prime rib! Told her keep it and left!

Its just a grocery store.Okay but no, its MY grocery store! I did all the weekly shopping there and got flu shots every season at their pharmacy and the staff were always so pleasant and really got to know frequent customers.Their ethnic food sections are more expansive than competitors and even other Safeways. Which is important when, say, cooking kosher.The $5 Friday deals cant be beat and Ill admit sometimes I would shop on Friday even if we didnt need anything just for the deals. You could pick things up just to have for future meals. If theyre out of stock theyll offer a comparable deal on other brands.The store itself is conveniently located, clean, and easy to navigate.

This is my favorite Safeway, they always have good supplies. Four ⭐ because they had only one package of pork ribs, (that didnt look very tasty) that are on the front page of the ad.

Ultra modern store in Open 24 hours a day. Went into store to get my Water dispenser machine bottles refilled up at 2:30 Am. Its 100 degrees in the daytime. Friendly employees, Good selection in the Deli department. Love this store more than my local Madison/Dewey Drive store. Employees there are RUDE!!

I go here kind of alot since I live close. Large chain feels like be a small town shop. Employees recognize me and are so sweet, always say hi with a smile. Great produce section which is of course on point with that Safeway brand.

This review was a 5 star for my friendly neighborhood Safeway. I always go here. I am not a mask sergeant however it is a California state Mandate. With that being said...Was here last night watching a guy go around coughing on people who were wearing masks. He was not wearing a mask and thought it was funny. He then comes up to me and coughs all joking like and again thinking it is funny. The employees and management are not enforcing the mask mandate.

I pretty much love all Safeways so this one is no different. Especially since they had cheese samples out at the deli. Yum! Also they will make a personalized breakfast sandwich super cheap (I get mine on a croissant and have them add pesto).
