I have a vintage Mac computer 2011 model. MAC apple support sent me to a local place near me that rudely did not accept my computer even when I called ahead to make sure they could work on it since it was too old to work on even though apple support sent me there. I came across in MAC Tonic online even though they were 2 hours away and when I called they were VERY professional and transparent in being able to address the issues I was having with my Track Pad. They got me in ASAP and fixed the issue no problem while being very reasonable in cost! Not only that but they even shipped my computer back to me since driving down to pick it up is a half day trip for me. THANKS MAC TONIC! I will always recommend your business :)

Easiest computer fix I have ever dealt with. Apple typically discourages you from trying to fix their products, as they want you to upgrade. My 2015 macbook pros battery was basically non functional - I called Mac Tonic, they ordered the battery, had me in about a week later and it only took them 30 minutes to replace the battery. They also kindly cleaned my machine, replaced screws, and replaced the little feet without asking or charging. And guess what? It was shockingly affordable. The guy at the front was friendly, the place was super clean. Im so excited to not have to spend money on a new machine. Thanks folks at Mac Tonic!

I am a woman who came in with a charge cord that wouldnt charge. The guy working wouldnt listen to me and did about twelve reboots on my computer and told me my computer was broken. I went down the street to Simply Mac and they plugged my laptop in, left it alone, and after it finished the other guys 12 reboots, it worked fine. All I needed was a new charge cord. I think he was trying to convince me the computer was broken so I would spend more money.

Our daughter attends UO and her Mac battery completely died without any notice. The battery was physically attached inside the laptop case to the shell so just purchasing a new battery was not an option. She was able to drop it off, diagnostics done, and battery replaced within an hour and a half and the cost was incredibly reasonable. AND one of my favorite things was seeing someone come in with a dodgy computer situation - completely possible that it was stolen, and the tech gently and effectively let them know that help was not available. Found that very reassuring in an age when folks dont always put general good before earnings.

I had them upgrade my RAM from two 2GB sticks to two 4GB. Then, for some reason, my computers RAM slot #2 was being inconsistent and sometimes not reading the new RAM. I took it back in to Mac Tonic, a few months later, and they diagnosed my computers problem, AND switched out the two sticks of 4GB for one 8GB stick FREE OF CHARGE! My Mac is working much better! Bought a new Mac computer from Aaron. Checked on it later because always having trouble with it. Found out from Apple, it was NOT new, used. I was the second owner. Took it back when I complained and charged me a hefty sum for a new model, yet looked the same. Found out later from Apple, it WAS the very same USED Mac he had sold me the FIRST TIME. Arron sold us USED for NEW then. TWICE.According to the varying number of stars, it looks like different people get a different level of care.Come to think of it my sweet, laid back older beagle always used to GROWL and hide behind my Den chair every time Arron came in. SHE KNEW way ahead of us. They can smell of fear or something in a person. Fear of getting caught? Twice he sold us USED computer for NEW. The first belonging to an older woman Dr. (She probably had a ball on that computer, clicking on every possible thing!! ) A new problem would arise every week if I tried do do anything more than email, or a Search. Really messed up!! The second one? Told us it was a NEW ONE, when in fact it was OUR OWN computer, being SOLD back to us for $600. more. We were an older couple. Is that one of his factors... get over on the old dumb ones? Really? The truth will set us free. I STAND BY MY EMAIL. NICE FAST TAP DANCING GOING ON, BUT THEY ARE LIARS. I took my Macbook pro in last November to be fixed after it shut down and wouldnt reconnect to the hard drive. Apparently they were backed up and said it would be a couple of weeks. Almost four weeks later we finally get a call from them letting us know it wasnt the hard drive, but a cord connecting the hard drive to the computer. Great! They said it was an easy fix and could be picked up immediately. About four months later (approx 2 weeks ago) my computer shut down again. I just recently relocated to the Denver area and when I brought it into a Mac specialist store and explained we just recently had it fixed, he assumed it would be the hard drive this time. He called me back a couple of days ago letting me know that it was the cord again! I spent about $200 to get a simple cord replaced that didnt even last four months! Apparently when busy, the easy fix is overlooked and fixed lazily. I know there arent a lot of affordable options in the Eugene area, but Id suggest taking your Mac products elsewhere.

BEWARE. I bought one of their renewed laptop for grad school and it has a 3 month warranty. It started malfunctioning within a couple weeks of use. They wanted to charge me for a rental for the time it takes them to fix it. Save the trouble and buy a new computer with a warranty

I am a college student and when your hard drive crashes a week before finals life sucks. The Apple Store couldnt do anything to recover my files nor tell me if the issue was the hard drive. They referred me to this place where I had to pay $800 to recover 16GB of data and could take 4-7 business day. My friend recommended MacTonic, they were able to recover my data within 2 hours and didnt charge me a penny! I will never go back to the Apple Store for technical support. I went to Mac Tonic a long time ago and acquired a laptop. Fast forward 18 months later, I was interested in trading it in and upgrading. I spoke to Jonathan about the transaction 3 times and he even helped me backup everything on my current laptop. The morning that we had arranged that I bring it in to sell it back to them because they did not have any new laptops to upgrade to. Jonathan informed me that they would not be willing to buy it back. He also managed to include his personal opinions of the transaction in with the deal. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! WASTED MY TIME!

Don’t waste your time or money. Took my I-pad 2 in which was locked in recovery mode, they said no problem. Took three weeks to get it back and when I went to finally pick it up, I was told it had a hardware issue; they couldn’t fix it and charged me $50.00. The only positive side to my experience at Mac Tonic was that they told me to check a place in town called The Web Zone who might be able to replace the bad hardware.I took it into The Web Zone told them what the issue was and they said it might take a couple days so I left it there. Maybe two hours later after I was home the gal called me and said “Hey it’s Done” I said What? She said ya just a software issue and she was able to get it fixed and running again in short order. They charged me $75.00 and fixed it the same day, while Mac Tonic charged me $50.00, had it for almost three weeks and said they couldn’t fix it. Unprofessional, Unknowledgeable and a waste of my time and money!

My MacPro went out on me (the screen was black) and Mac Tonic tried hard to save it, but in the end, I had to put my laptop out to pasture. Still, I appreciate the effort Mac Tonic put forth to figure out the problem. After several tests, it was determined that the culprit was a drop of water damage on the Logic Board, which was hidden under the hinge apparatus, and had to be unscrewed and taken apart to see. End result: fried computer that is now relegated to paperweight status. Oh well...life goes on.

4 months ago I asked about getting a Lynux os split to my macbook. Was told $50 and I could pick it up at the end of the day. Great. Today I called and the price doubled. Doubled?? Wont you at least honor my quote? Nope. . . . . Welp, a Craiglister did it for what I was quoted by this store front, and did so in 1HOUR!!!!!. . . . . . Good luck getting and keeping business with a stroe front to pay for, and this kind of business model of customer service. I dropped off my MacBook Pro Thursday afternoon of last week (its Wednesday right now) because it was running slow. I was led to believe that after a quick software clean & reboot Id be good to go and that the whole process shouldnt take more than a day or two.Monday, two days later, still no word from Mac Tonic. I call back and am told that my laptop may be taken care off by the end of the day, and if not then first thing Tuesday morning. Tuesday comes and goes and still no word.....Moral of the story: if youre a student / dependent on your computer for anything at all / would suffer a huge loss if you were without it for a week, DONT take it to Mac Tonic.Drive to Portland. Take it to an Apple Store. And get it fixed by a company thats dependable and efficient.

I brought in my mac book pro to have a screen issue looked at. The lady said she would give me a call if it was going to be over $50. When they called, I was told that I would need a screen replacement, costing $600, which is more than I paid for the unit. So I declined, only to realize when I returned that they were charging me $50 just to look at the unit. My auto shop doesnt charge me a dime to look at my vehicle, likely because they know they will charge a reasonable price on the fix, I think Mac Tonic is a scam, charging $50 to return the mac in an unfixed condition. Thats not necessary, thats taking advantage. I give the extra star only because they otherwise seemed likea well kept shop with othwrwise seemingly good customer service, possibly lime the venus fly trap lures its prey into a false sense of complacency. Boo.

I got a MacBook Pro in May and absolutely love it. I recommend MacTonic to anyone who is looking for a great value and enjoyable shopping experience with staff who are honest and knowledgeable.

Took my 2012 MacBook Pro to them and they replaced my hard drive and cleaned out all the horrible things I did to this poor computer. I had previously taken the computer to the Simply Mac where they essentially laughed at me and told me the computer was a helpless cause. My old macbook pro was getting old and i traded it in for a newer unibody macbook with pretty much the same if not better configuration. I have had the computer running for four years + some. No problems whatsoever :)

This operation is bullshit. Two weeks ago I downloaded El Capitan. My Mac wouldnt reboot. A very common problem from what I have read. So I took my 2010 imac to this store to have them solve a simple problem.After a week I was informed it could take another week to get my mac fixed unless I would agree to pay another $50 to expodite matters.Im going to retrieve my still unfunctionàl machine tomorrow. Everytime i buy something here it breaks within 6 months.Charger went kaput hard drive cable went kaput.Now all i am seeing is a WSOD!Customer service is Really good but i have to say prices and product failure is something i am not a fan of! upset, Disapointed!
