Best local computer shop. The owners werent pushy like other places, they listened to my questions and helped me choose a laptop that fit my needs. Before leaving they walked me through the dos and donts of my new computers features and maintenance. My computer has withstood excessive use as i have been doing online schooling for the past 2 years on it. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great product at a very reasonable price.

I learned about Jess and Affordable Computers a few years back, and now whenever I have a tech problem with any of my 4 computers, I immediately call them. Their team is terrific. I always feel listened to, and the issues with my machines are explained by them in terms that I can understand...well, understand enough, right? Jess has put 2 solid state drives in 2 of my PCs and they work brilliantly. Their team is responsive, knowledgeable, and their hours of availability make it easy for me to get my equipment fixed. I needed a new laptop because my old one sucked and I saw the great reviews so I went to Affordable computers. I was excited to see a great selection of barely used laptops. He recommened and I got the super nice large screen HP Envy and its awesome. I had an issue but he fixed it in no time under warranty. Hands down........Best time place in Eugene to buy a computer. Got a used refurbished computer for 300 dollars. Its literally bullet proof and runs like new. Owner is really cool dude. Dont go anywhere else until you stop here first.

Usually, I don’t bother to leave reviews for places I visit, but I wanted to relay my fantastic experience here. I have very little experience with computers and what it takes to work on them, and I didnt feel taken advantage of at all. The service was very quick, and my computer came home like it was brand new out of the box. Better, even. I was wholeheartedly satisfied with my experience here.

Really like this place, they charge a flat fee to look at your computer, I think it’s $75, and then they tell you what’s wrong with it, which is very reasonable. They were able to fix my computer for a little over 100 bucks, including an upgrade, whereas the Mac Store told me it couldn’t be fixed, and I should buy a new laptop. It’s nice to see someone who is willing to fix technology, Instead of just throwing it away.

A coworker took a laptop in yesterday, and just on the basis of her detailed description of how it went, I feel like I have to write a review. People like this give me renewed faith in the future of the human race, and although reviews or no reviews they will probably stick to the high road, maybe it helps the rest of us to study their ways. :) Starts with the black lab you can pet while they dive into your computer. They clearly explain the problem (very politely) and the solution/s. Anyway, nice people, who care about you and really dont charge very much, and you can play with the dog while you wait.

Honest work done quickly for a reasonable price.My attempts to build a new computer for my wife went awry and Jesse was able to get things sorted. He was brutally honest about where Id gone wrong, which was a learning experience for me, but reassuring that I now know exactly what needed to be fixed.The new machine is now working perfectly. Wish I would have discovered this place weeks ago. In the future Id just go here first.

Recently bought a gaming system from Affordable Computers and its absolutely perfect and beautifully built. Had previously purchased a more basic desktop for my home office and its still running strong. Jess is the best - super friendly and knowledgeable and has an infectious enthusiasm for what he does. Went to get my old computer upgraded and got a better deal on a newer used computer with the upgrades I wanted for my old one. had some technical difficulties with the wifi card and these guys went above and beyond to get it taken care even though it took 3 different times before we figured out it was a faulty card. awesome people and a chill atmosphere< I would recommend them to anyone.

Ive gone to Affordable Computers twice now for help with issues with my laptop (once after I brilliantly spilled coffee on my keyboard, and once with a hard drive failure), and both times have had a fantastic experience. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and very reasonably-priced.

This was such an amazing experience, the guy helped me get a good deal on an Intel cpu and Nvidia graphics card. I highly highly recommend this place if you want a good deal on parts. Oh and did I mention the extremely friendly dog? Yeah, he has a dog that greets everyone happily and makes them feel welcome.

I should have gone somewhere else. I paid over 400 dollars to get my computer fixed, only to have them spend about a month on it (much more than I was told from the beginning). When I get it back, its still not up to par. I had to go somewhere else just for them to undo what Affordable Computers did.

A little bit of background: I usually build my own PC gaming rigs but this last time that my motherboard failed, I didnt have the spare time or parts available to diagnose and fix the problem. It was not only important that I get my machine up and running quickly, but I really wanted it to be done the right way. Thats where Jessie proved to be a valuable help. Hes very quick and really knows his stuff; so my repair was handled with care and returned to me in much better condition than it was in when I brought it in. To top it all off, the cost of doing business was better than expected.

This guy is a no bs straight shooter that made quick and easy work of repairing my trashed laptop. He got finished before he said he would and ended up costing me less in parts thanks to him shopping around. He has excellent skills and knowledge and I will only be buying my devices from him in the future. Hands down, never going anywhere else for tech support or new computer purchases! Very pleased here.

AFFORDABLE COMPUTERS IS AMAZING!I went to geek squad first with a laptop that wouldn’t charge. They took my laptop in the back and plugged it into something and they came back and told me it was definitely the laptop and not the charger. They could ship it away for $85 at minimum for further investigation and I would not get it back for up to 8 weeks. I left from Best Buy disappointed.I went back to work, feeling defeated, but I received word of Jesse (I believe that is the owners name!) from a co worker and brought my laptop to him immediately. When I got there, he unscrewed the back, pressed some button on my battery, screwed it back up and my laptop turned on. IT HAPPENED IN UNDER 5 MINUTES AND I AM SO THANKFUL!I direly need a computer/laptop for work so I was about to charge a new laptop on my credit card. Thank you for saving me hundreds of dollars Jesse! I never would have known how simple this problem was to fix had it not been for you!He definitely knows what he is doing and has a beautiful soul! After taking my laptop to another shop (who told me I needed a new computer and that it would cost me at least $700) I decided to get another opinion. Jess diagnosed my machine on the spot and reassured me that I did not need a new laptop. He was so personable and really listened to me - I left feeling informed and empowered! In less than 24 hours I had my computer back with a big solid state drive, everything from the old hard drive moved to an external drive, Windows reloaded etc.. I accidentally spilled water across my laptop keyboard. While I quickly shut it off, tipped it upside down to drain, wrapped it paper towels, stored it in a box of rice in my hot car for tthree days - I still felt that I might have moisture/ water damage. I brought it in to have it checked out and left it for a thorough cleaning. Two days later I picked it up and it was fully restored. This is a great place with great people!! My experience with AC and Jess was one of the most professional and pleasant encounters Ive had with ANY business. I got my computer back within a week even after he received a broken part and had to order a new one. Jess was able to upgrade me for a MUCH lower price and did so while explaining exactly what his plan was to a guy who clearly knows nothing about computers and who he could have easily ripped off (of course he didnt because hes awesome). I brought my laptop here a couple months ago to fix a broken screen. Well, apparently they ordered the wrong screen. Not only did they fail to install it properly (it sticks out way further than my last one, and one of the corners is loose), but they couldnt even configure the touch screen. Total waste of 200 dollars.On a semi-related note, one of the owners is ableist. I regret ever supporting these people.

I bought a brand new computer that was running super slow and would not update properly. I took the the computer in to Affordable Computers to be fixed, the cost of service was lower than anyone else I had contacted and I had it back within a couple days. This was many months ago and my computer is still running fantastic.

Awesome! Rarely have computer issues but when I did I looked for a be place as I just didnt feel good after my last visit to my old shop. Jess at Affordable Computers absolutely nailed the repair in unbelievably fast time for an even more unbelievably good price - cant you say cheap!!! On top of the Jess discovered the issues this time were caused by a screw-up by the last place that had gone undetected for over a year. So now my machine is back home, running better than new, and I have a new go to computer shop that not only will I return to for anything computer oriented but will recommend to others with no reservations. Trust worthy, reliable computer repairmen are hard to find. Its sort of like coming across an honest auto shop- rare, but when you find one you thank your lucky stars. Jess is a small business owner and mainly does repair, but also sells cheap parts. You can basically find whatever it is youre looking for here. Ive had him replace my mac battery, and have bought AC adapters from him from literally a fraction of the price Id have paid from the manufacturer. Hes timely, affordable, and even offers warranties on a lot of stuff. I recommend him to anyone in need of computer work and parts. Check him out for sure!!

My laptops screen stopped working last night and after I wasnt able to fix it myself via online troubleshooting I feared the worst (that something was wrong internally). After looking through a couple of places I decided to go here based on the good amount of reviews and boy am I so glad I did. Jess knew what was wrong pretty much instantly after opening it up and taking a quick look. And thank my lucky stars, it wasnt something internal, it was the screen itself. Took Jess 5 minutes TOPS and only cost $99 to get a brand new screen in place! I was so surprised, here I was figuring I was gonna have to leave my computer at some place for a couple of days and spend a couple of hundred, not just one hundred! And only 5 minutes!! I could have screamed to the heavens in joy, I was so happy. Absolutely fantastic. Jess is a great guy, real chill and laid back, gives a great atmosphere. Says hes been doing this for like 16 years, obviously knows his stuff. Great, great, great! Highly recommended. I will definitely be going to him for any of my future computing issues.
