Went in because engine light came on and codes at an auto parts shop said my Solenoid B was showing issues. The battery was weak too, but it only had a jump after battery failed to let me start car. I priced parts that I might need to fix shift solenoid B and transmission fluid as well as other parts, gaskets and filter, on weekend. On Monday I drove into B&G to get it worked on. I showed them codes from reading, and list of parts cost. Ready to have it worked on and to get battery as well. But B&G told me that they wanted to charge battery first...then take reading again. They told me that a low battery could in some cases result in wrong diagnostics. And to be sure that they will try that first.After 2.5 hrs I was told that battery was at 80% and reading showed no codes cleared engine light off.They saved me lots of money. I did go and replace battery but thats a heck of a lot better than replacing parts and labor costs.Not sure I would have encountered such honesty from a mechanic shop.Highly IMPRESSED and will always recommend them.

I brought my car in for rear brakes turned out didnt need them. The big thing is they were honest and told me. They couldve said they did the job charged me and i probably wouldnt have known. Im not usually a review writer, but I recently felt compelled to write a bad review after a horrible doctors appointment, so I wanted to balance things out and write a good review for a place that I love. B&G was the first thing that came to mind. Theyre my favorite mechanic of all time. Theyre honest, fast, fairly priced, and just all around lovely to deal with. We always leave feeling great about the experience, and like weve been treated like human beings, by human beings. I would recommend them to anyone.

Several years ago I had a Chevrolet with a persistent noise from the rear passenger side of the car. Id had it at another shop that tried to isolate the problem to no avail. The B&G staff tackled it and finally found a failing strut. I drove that car for several more years.Recently I had a problem with my Buick that appeared to be brake-related from the sensors but the brakes worked. Again the staff at B&G tackled it, patiently testing and working with Buick before they identified a faulty wiring harness portion.They are reliable, very pleasant to work with, and committed to giving good service.

I will recommend this establishment until the day I die. I had freaky, unexpected car trouble that I needed fixed on the fly and they were so calm, accommodating and communicative. They got me in right away (right before closing, might I add. Amazing.) and by 8am the next day had the diagnosis and by 2:30 pm my vehicle was in tip top shape and ready to be picked up. Amazing customer service. Amazing mechanics. Amazing business.

I appreciated the mechanics finding the problem, fixing the problem and not charging me an arm and a leg. They found the issue, cleaned and used existing parts, fixing our electrical issue and we were on our way. My father in law was right for once, these guys are great and fare. Thank B & G

I have been taking my 2011 Ford Focus to B&G since my Ford warranty expired. They have kept it running like new for years. Before that, I took another car and got the same excellent service. They are honest, fast and extremely helpful - EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Charged me $40 for a diagnosis that couldnt have taken them more than 10 minutes to perform. Then they wanted to charge me $400 to essentially just lubricate an easily accessible part. Ended up doing it myself, super easy fix for someone that doesnt know much about working on cars. Giving them 2 stars because their diagnosis was correct. I almost never leave bad reviews, but it absolutely disgusts me that people price gouge for such an essential service.

Took my jeep there for a leak. The staff was increbly straight forward and nice. Didn’t try to screw me over in any way. Would highly recommend them and trust them 100%

Always choose a mechanic you can trust. How often have you heard that? But how do you know? One of the things you always worry about in a mechanic is whether or not you are getting a straight answer, or are you paying for things you dont need. Donovan and the rest of the staff have always been straight shooters. You can drop your car off at night, with a brief description of what is needed. They will cal you and get the whole scoop, then give you an accurate estimate of what is needed. I have always been happy with the results and the charges are reasonable. I have even brought in my own parts and they have happily used them. I have never felt like I am paying for something that I didnt need. B&G is the mechanic you can trust.

I went here to repair a fuel line, and was given a price for the service, however it took them a week to fix my vehicle, they were $120 dollars over the total price that they gave me, and charged over $200 dollars for a part that cost less than $100 online. They also told me that my serpentine belt was cracked, however after I took the time to replace the belt myself, the belt that they said needed to be replaced was indistinguishable from the new belt.

The best, most honest auto shop in Oregon.
