READ THIS BEFORE YOU USE HIM. I called this guy through Google and Yelp information and he seemed fine but I had wondered when he wanted paid upfront for a used car inspection and now I know. His business is listed on Oregons Registry as inactive probably for a reason. What he did was get the money and no showed all morning till late in the afternoon and when he arrived the dealer was already selling the car to someone else then to save his but he decided to call my sister back who I was helping stay safe through this car buying process and decided to bad mouth the Hyundai products period and was saying everything he could to scare her away from all Hyundai products period and he was even trying to bad mouth me. I paid him for this unbelievable I expected a inspection report not a start at 3pm in the after noon that had a bone to pick with a dealership he accepted pay to do a used car inspection at. Bottom line you guys can do better this guy may or may not end up doing his job and as a mechanic my self I cant even trust anything this guys is saying or is going to say so I have to pay again or actually I will be driving to Eugene my self to find out if the financing doesnt go through for the gal trying to finance it. and the store called back it didnt go through so Im only two hours away my sister is 8 so I have to do it save your self the money and call someone else.

Im very happy I found this shop and met Ken! This guy is my new mechanic! Im already bringing him my other vehicles and will recommend him to anyone! He was able to diagnose the problem my car had from work done at a previous shop. He Fixed the problem with ease! I appreciated his knowledge and being able to work with me around his busy schedule. What impressed me the most was that he called the shop I had the work done at and explained to them what he had to do where they messed up and was able to prove it to them very profesionally. He was looking out for the vehicles best interest and my best interest and I really appreciate that integrity! The previous shop refunded me immediately on all labor costs. Ken saved the day and went above and beyond for me! For that Im grateful and will highly recommend him!

I came down from Portland to purchase a car and needed someone to come check it out to ensure there werent any issues. Ken came to the dealership to perform an inspection for a VERY reasonable price. Overall the vehicle had a clean bill of health. There were a couple very minor things Ken noticed that ultimately werent really a big deal, but complaining about them to the dealer helped me get the cars price down a bit! Very helpful! Also knowing I wasnt purchasing a lemon gave me peace of mind, which is hard to put a price on.

Called, told the guy the situation and what my car was, and he essentially told me something about me saying the type of car it is like its special and when he asked about where I was and I told him walmart at springfield he told me I dont go to Springfield, especially not walmart and I hung up at that point. I dont have an effing car, maybe be helpful or let me move on to the next person to offer my money to.

I looked Sunday for a mobile mechanic. I called Ken and relayed what was happening with my car. We both thought it was the starter, to which I had already purchased the part. He said he’d be over around 1:30/ 2:00pm. I waited.......I then reached out at 3:30pm since he hadn’t showed up and didn’t receive anything back from him until 5:30pm that evening. He had some issues and wouldn’t be able to make it until a little after 9am on Monday. I agreed and I waited...... I reached back out to Ken at 10:30am. He replied asking if 11:30am was ok. I said sure and waited again........at 12:30pm he started sending me pictures on the repair and said it would cost more than the initial quote he gave me over the phone. He sent the quote at the end of 22 pictures pertaining to the part replacement.... I agreed to the new price and Ken said he’d be over around 1:30/ 2:00pm. I waited AGAIN.......He never called or reached back out after the “NO SHOWING” of 3 times.I recommend you call a different mobile mechanic if you want someone you can rely on or trust to ACTUALLY SHOW UP.Update: after seeing the owner’s reply I find it hilarious that he even replied. No he didn’t work on my car. I knew exactly what the job entailed as I had done that research. I also knew because I received 20 some pictures from Ken detailing the job. Work on the real story Ken…. I still have all the messages if you want to review them again on you’re down to remind you of the bad business you did that day?Ken said 3….yes, he said 3 different time’s that he’d be over and was a no show/ no call each time. Then he had some excuse that he was having an issue with his partner. Not the customers fault… you are still obligated to call the customer and inform them to not waste two days waiting for you.I wish you well!

Ken was great! Very up front and dependable and he went above and beyond - came to the house promptly and gave us quotes on mechanical isues on 2 vehicles and returned later after hours to install a battery in one car. Took other vehicle to his shop where he did a great job fixing what he was asked to fix..sending us photo updates along the way. Trustworthy, reliable and affordable...bonus great sense of humor. Highly recommended. Will be bringing second car to him next month.

Ken is amazing!!! Diagnosed our motorhomes issues within ten minutes... Went above and beyond working us in for repairs! Explained the issues and was incredibly knowledgeable and obviously experienced! True miracle worker ;)

Best quote in town to replace my starter. Mechanic came right to my house. Took pictures to show me what was wrong as well as showing me when looking at the engine. Had my starter swapped out in an hour, and the car starts perfectly now. Friendly, professional, and efficient. Thanks!!

Ken saved my butt!I flew to Oregon from Utah to buy a retired ambulance to convert. I drove it around the coast for a day and everything was working great, but the next day when I went into the store and came back out... it was completely dead. I was out there with a mechanic who happened to be around and tried to lend me a hand, and after three hours we couldn’t figure anything out. He went home to grab some tools, so I called American Mobile Auto Repair and Ken diagnosed and fixed my problem OVER THE PHONE within five minutes. I drove it back to Utah without a problem.This guys knows what he’s doing!!! Hire him!

KEN IS GREAT! We’re road tripping from California, broke down 40 miles from Ken’s shop, he walked us through on the phone how to limp it to the shop, & fit us in for a transmission filter replacement that day! Highly recommend Ken!
