Nicely stocked, but everything is full price. They let me bend what I bought, which I appreciated. Girls behind the counter were service oriented and professional. Expensive, but I will be back.

They did take my money so that I was legally able to leave with the merchandise I needed after I yelled across the store for someone to come to the register, so they got a star for that...However... had I been there for the purpose of SHOPLIFTING I would have rated FIVE STARS! Golf Mart Escondido is a shoplifters paradise for a few good reasons: 1) No one will acknowledge you upon entering the store 👍🏻 2) No one will come by to ask you what you are looking for, or otherwise harass you like they do at other stores you’re trying to rob 👍🏻 3) No one will be at the register, although if they are they will be engaged in an important conversation that does not merit a glance in your direction 👍🏻 4) If they eventually figure out they are missing a few items they will assume a ghost took them or blame the delivery person for shorting them, they will have never seen you nor will they be able to describe you, having never acknowledged you in the first place 😎So the next time you need golf supplies but don’t want the inconvenience of bothersome staff that just end up taking your money, give Golf Mart Escondido a try!

John was an amazing help, got a great deal on a new set of clubs and he got me all set to start on my golf career/hobby. Excited to get out on the course and try out my new stuff. Very helpful kind and willing to take the time to show you things. They’re also not afraid to tell you and somethings not a good deal, and will point you in the right direction

This review is for employee Dan W. Give that guy a raise. I brought my daughter in to get fitted for a couple clubs on Tuesday around lunchtime and Dan showed us some of the best customer service we couldve hoped for. He spent nearly an hour with her analyzing her swing and asking the right questions to find the right clubs that work for her. Not a hint of hurry or condescension, just professionalism and a solid understanding of the equipment. Fast forward a day, my kid PRd in her first match using those clubs.

Ownership needs to add on employees....get back to moral businesses hours. Conduct inventory before store opens. Not close store early and say sorry....doesnt work that way. I try to buy local but with 3 or 4 stores....unacceptable

This is my wifes email but I was the one fitted. I was fitted by Mark and he was very attentive and knowledgeable. I am 68 an have lost distance not to mention having both knees replaced and am 4 months into a hip replacement and just now getting back to golf. Before surgery I was fitted with the ping g710 with upgraded graphite shafts. They are great clubs and getting fitted helped. Hit the middle of the club face more often and hitting greens twice as much. These ping irons are amazing, very straight and I have all of a sudden great distance control. I am hole high more often than not and I know it is not all me the clubs are extremely forgiving. Not able to work the ball as much but for me straight is good the ball seems to go where I want it most of the time. Mark has helped me for many years with my golf needs I will never go any place else. Thanks again Mark..

It really irritates me when the cashier answers the phone when they are ringing up my purchases and then proceeds to have a conversation with both the person on the phone and me. Especially when there are several other employees who couldve answered the phone.

If you want to test out some clubs/drivers that you are interested in buying, but not sure if it will be right for you..this is the place! They have a simulator that can help you see how you may play with that club! The staff is always friends and helpful! Prices are decent. Like to go maybe once a month, usually just to browse, but I always end up buying something

I love these guys. Not cause I spend 90% of my paychecks here but they take great care and know their stuff. Craig, Mark, Dan and Don are great. Just got a putting fitting from Don Clarke. Changed my life! Not sure about the people who gripe, but this is the place to go. Glad their here and always helpful.

Went in to try to buy some new clubs. I’m a novice golfer and need some advice on which ones to start with. I walked in the store and NOT ONE employee asked if I needed assistance. I even gave them a chance by walking around aimlessly looking at stuff in the store to see if anyone would ask if I need help. Still nothing, so I left. They Should be more friendly and helpful to customers, golf mart might make more sales if they did.

Dan and the person who rang me up were extremely helpful and nice, they didn’t even charge me for two head covers! Definitely coming back again.

They also have a good selection of used clubs at affordable prices for those looking to get into golf, or for those looking to add to their existing bag. The staff is very friendly and always there to help. They do have a good amount of clothing, but in limited sizes. I couldnt find any golf pants for my length. The best is their 90 day guarantee. So if youre not happy with your purchase you can exchange it for the full price you paid.

Went in with my 17 year old grandson for a nice set of used clubs. Dan was very helpful putting him on a simulator & let him take quite a few swings. I payed much less for clubs than I expected & the grandson is hitting them quite well. I suspect he will play a lot more now.

Just needed to restock our golf bags. As always staff was friendly, helpful and even gave me a small discount on a not-as-popular-as-hopped item. Now if the rain will stop!

The employees at this store are extremely helpful and friendly. Vic was able to analyze my swing and I have been playing better golf. He also fitted the right set of irons for my daughter for high school golf. Wish they had more left hand equipment for us lefties.

A bit pricey but good selection of products.

So I just brought in my brand new $599 Callaway Epic Flash and my Taylormade M1 drivers. The Epic Flash had the wrong shaft for my swing speed they had 6 used Epic Flash 5 of which have the correct shaft for me however the were all in really bad condition. I was hoping to trade it both drivers one new one used for a driver that works for me. They refused to trade the two for the one I wanted out right which is understandable I guess doesnt make sense but I understand. So I looked around at what they were selling my 2 drivers for 1 new 1 used came out to $875 in their store and they offered me just over $100 for both so thats where the problem lies with me. I understand businesses have to make money but to completely low ball an extremeley regular customer as myself is not right. Ive spent hundreds upon hundreds of dollars at golf mart and from now on I will be going to Valley Golf. My advice to anyone else is take your time sell your used clubs online dont let golf mart take advantage of you. Golf clubs are so overpriced in this day in age and us golfers deserve to pay a fair price and get a fair price on our purchases and trade ins. Hope this helps. Also not once has anyone employee offered to help me the countless times Ive been in to purchase product

The service I receive from Golf Mart in Escondido is fabulous. I am always greeted by the staff in a friendly manner, particularly Vic C. His recommendations for clubs have proven to be excellent and have helped my game to improve by lowering my handicap 7 strokes in just a few months. The thing I like the best is he does not try to oversell me with new fangaled items - just improves on what I currently own; and always tries to get me the best deal on what I am buying. Ive been to all of the golf marts in North County and this ones employees are very rude. They also are just trying to sell you on the higher priced items rather than trying to help you find something better suited for what you are asking. My husband is an avid golfer but I am just getting started and had some discouraging comments aimed at me while I was there. One employee acted as if I deliberately hit a ball sideways and felt the need to announce how much the machine cost from across the room and that I better be careful, but in reality I am just not very good and a practice shot didnt pan out how I planned. In my opinion, take the drive to the one in Encinitas. The employees are in incredibly helpful/knowledgeable and far more down to earth.

Was asked to leave because no one helped me and I had one bad drive on the simulator. Hit the side wall and they asked me to leave. Vic specifically said very rude things to me and one of the worst customer service golf stores I’ve ever been to.

I purchased a set of fitted Mizuno irons from Nick, and his service was fantastic.Throughout the fitting process (Mizuno has a really cool fitting system, BTW), Nick asked questions and listened, rather than tell me his version what I needed. I was never talked down to, and left the shop feeling very satisfied. I bought the clubs on a Monday, Nick sent the fitting info to Mizuno that day and the custom built clubs arrived at my doorstep Friday at lunch. Excellent!

I was at this store today to take the Worldwide Golf Shops up on their 90 days 100% Satisfaction GUARANTEE but was turned away by the assistance manager Mark R. because of his personal feelings about me, I left the store feeling discriminated against. As a paying customer, I should be treated with unbias and respect. I was felt as if he thought I stole the clubs and was trying to get paid, I was interrogated at the counter. I had the receipt for the clubs I purchased at another one of the chain store and Mark said I had to return the clubs where it was purchased originally because he will not honor the receipt.

Ive been a customer @ the santa ana Roger dunn golf shop location for a long time Ive met a lot of great people there like Byron,Jim,Brian,Theresa and Laura to name a few, so when I moved to Escondido I was happy to see that there was The Golf Mart (Roger dunn golf shop)so close by (since the Santa Ana location was a long drive from where I used to live) I was looking forward to meeting new people and getting the same customer service Im used to getting from the Santa ana store well I was WRONG,when I first walked in there nobody offer to help i felt that they thought I was there to steal something they just kept looking at me weird without offering any help, Ive been to this location 3 times and have had the same experience,Im going to have to take my business somewhere else or take the long drive to the Santa Ana location! I Dont recommend shopping at this store!!!!

Employees are rude and unhelpful unless you announce that you are looking to purchase something. There was a younger kid hitting balls on the simulator and accidentally hit the simulator with his ball and VIC one of the golf mart employees felt he needed to announce how much the machine costs and ask the kid to leave. Every time I go into that store I am never greeted or helped. This is very obviously a commission based store.
