Cookie cutter big 5. I found what I was looking for, a weighted hula hoop for about $20 which is half of what Amazon charges. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Lots of clothing, shoes and sports equipment to choose from. Name brands of high quality are available. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Lots of product on the shelves was a plus, but the lack of available help for the middle of the afternoon made this drag on a little longer than I wouldve liked

Well stocked for a small location,if Im ever in that neighborhood again I will go in there to shop again.

Still one of the best small sporting good stores around. Its great! Prices are reasonable, and they have a ton of inventory packed into their store. The employees are also very friendly and helpful.

Had never been here...it is now our sport store. THE helpful staff & selection of what we needed, not just whats trendy. The associate pulled things from the shelf after we called before we got there. They have a dressing room to if it fits. Prices are great.

Horrible customer service. Incompetent manager, Michael. We called ahead of time to check the availability of product. Mchael, the manager said they have one. We drove 25 miles and Michael brought it down from the shelf, and handed it to us. Since it was a large heavy box, we asked the 2 people standing there, Michael and a Cashier to hold the box while we look for more items to purchase. After 10 minutes with our other merchandize in hand we came up to where we left the box for them to watch (by cashier), the manager said, oh I sold it to someone else. We had seen the man who bought it asking the cashier, this is nice! do you have another one i can buy? Michael had the nerve to lie and say this man 30 minutes ago put it on hold, when this man entered store with us. The lies changed to some bizarre other excuses. As a manager, Michael is most incompetent!

The customer service is exceptional. Everyone is so helpful.

Nice store. I needed steel toed shoes. Got help from an employee but it was difficult to tell what shoes where steel toed. There paper woek was wrong so not helpful. He had to go and sent another employee. Just when i was about to give up finding the correct size he came out with 2 pair he found. I bought the first one I tried on. Check out seemed a bit slow also and only one person before me. Not a bad store. Lots of goods to look at.

Kind of disappointed in this Big 5. I went there to get some jackets for my kids and wife to take to the snow. As I walked in and went to their snow area, they literally had walls that were completely empty.Their selection was super slim and basically just down to leftovers. After looking and leaving, then coming back after they had a delivery and STILL not having any snow products available, I opted to head down to Dicks and spend a little more money, but have the assurance that they would have inventory in stock.I really like Big 5 and maybe a different one would have had more in stock, but I didnt want to risk driving to several different stores. Big 5 needs to step up their game if they want to continue staying in business. Especially for those items that are season specific. Its always better to overstock and have more than enough for customers than to not have what someone is looking for and force them elsewhere.

Thursday evening, went in, picked up some shoes, and met Priscilla. This girl is a soldier, coming into work despite her allergies making her evening feel even longer it really was. Still helped everyone with that great smile and sweet personality. Anytime I know Im gonna go to Big 5, Im going during evening hours from now on. Thanks for being the highlight of the day, Priscilla. From your new loyal customer Luis.

Inexpensive shoes. As a chain their capacity to help customers isnt very good.

Big five mostly has what I need 99.7 % of the time. Merchandise is good too. Always come out happy and satisfied.

Overall this is true best to for sportsball outfits, gear and shoes. The only downside is their stock is always rotating so if you see something you like in your first time, get it. Itll almost always be the better price.

I buy 90% of my kids baseball gear here. Prices are great with coupons that I get in my email. Staff is pretty friendly and helpful. I hate that there is only 1 dressing room. But thats minor.

I have always been very pleased with the Service here. Going on a trip and heard the Misquotes are bad. My Friend told Me about wearing a bracelet and ankle bracelet to keep them away. I walked in and asked for This and the Gal at the register pointed Me right to it all. They had the bracelet and sprays as well. Thanks Big 5!!

I would rate this zero stars if I could. I purchased a piece of P90X equipment from this store on 7/13/17. On 7/15/17 it broke. Unfortunately, I paid cash and threw out my receipt. When I went to the store for an exchange, I was told that since I did not have a receipt, they could not verify that I purchased it implying that I stole it. Asked to speak to the manager and her response was she couldnt do anything about it and suggested I call their HR department to see if they could find my receipt. I asked her if they found a receipt for this purchase how could she verify that I purchased it? Silence. I asked if she could review the security tapes to verify that I was in the store since I knew the exact date and time I was there. She said yes she could do that and paused. I finished her sentence and said but you wont right. She just smiled. Not sure what her motivation was or why the tenets of good customer service eluded her but for $17.99 she just purchased a highly dissatisfied customer that will never return to her store (I shopped there at least once a month) and more importantly, retell this incident to all my friends and family.

Went to Big 5 at 9am and purchased a California Board Company pursuit 42 boogie board. Took my new board to the beach, rode it once, and was bummed to see the seams at the front of the board had come apart. On the way home from the beach I returned to Big 5 , fully expecting to get the run around. To my surprise I found the sales staff to be very helpful. The sales clerk PRISCILLA took one look at the faulty board and walked it to the manager CHELSEA who immediately authorized an exchange or full refund. I chose the refund and within 2 minutes was out the door, cash in hand and grateful to Big 5 for doing the right thing.

Support Big 5. They are reasonably priced and cheaper than Dick s expensive prices. Great shoe selection. Discount and promos throughout the year. Its tough for retailers these days because of Amazon, but we have to draw the line. If not well not have a choice any longer.

Best Big 5 Ive ever been in!!!

Big 5 isn’t fancy but when I need something, they have it. Last thing was street hockey balls and tape. In Southern California. At 8:30 in the morning the day after Christmas. They picked up the phone before they were officially open and confirmed they had what I needed. Great service.

Good purchase a bb gun and got very good customer service from workers with great advace.

Customer service was awful, the cashier was very rude and put out by anything i asked. I had a discount card in the car and had asked her to hold on i have a coupon in the car. She preceded to tell me they were all expired and she has been having that problem all week. The coupon does not expire till next year!! Try not being so quick to answer and listen to your customers. We spend a lot of money at your store on a yearly basis.

The sales person was very knowledgeable and helpful. He walked me through what i needed for my grandson and let me know how the shin guards go in shoe and to allow room for that so suggested a 1/2 size larger for comfort. Im very pleased with the help and product I received. Thank youa

Big 5 stores are awkward and different from one another. They carry for the most part the same items but their store design is always different. This one feels comfortable and staff is friendly.
