This retreat is a farm where devotees come to volunteer and earn the stay around the monks in charge and their every day activities.

Teh best moments of my life. Amazing introspection, meditation, quiet, friendship all based on Paramahansa Yogananda.

This place feels like a little bubble where individuals can come and join a community full of brotherhood, love and calmness, where people understand and pass no judgement. Where God is first, and getting to know Him, attune our minds with Him, and communing with Him is the goal. May God continue to bless this little piece of heaven on Earth for as long as there are persons with a desire to know Him.

If you have the chance to spend some time here go for it. Just finished a 7 day service retreat... it was such a blessing. Thank you to all the monastics, residents, and volunteers for making me feel so welcome and at home.

Master’s Peace and Love are very tangible here at the ashram. It is an ideal environment for spiritual study. I spend as much time as I can here.

A place to establish your spiritual routine, refocus on your meditation practice, and learn how to balance a work life and inner life. It is like heaven on earth. Great food, fun activities, and daily group meditation. I make it out as often as possible.

For men who are followers of Paramahansa Yogananda Hidden Valley Ashram is unique in Self Realization Fellowships ashrams. Men can live with the monks and follow the regular monastic daily routines of study and meditation in a beautiful rural ranch setting.

A very special place. If youre a man and a student of the SRF lessons youll find this retreat an excellent place to go to dropped your sadhana. As far as I know this is the only SRF retreat for men only. All the other SRF retreat are open to men and women.

I participated in a 3-day themed program, Nd it was an incredibly enlightening experience. Brother Ishtananda and the rest of the SRF monastics make themselves available to answer questions and really be there for you to help you disseminate masters teachings. You can also tell they put a lot of work into preparing for the program and presenting their content in a comprehensive manner. The grounds them selves are amazingly beautiful, you feel like you are way out there in nature in the gorgeous California rolling hills and red rocks. Fresh air and quietness allows you to meditate as much as you desire. The food served is not only delicious but healthy as well. I highly recommend you attend if you are looking to deepen your practice of meditation and or Kriya.

Good place - fresh local food, meditation and yoga, beautiful nature and small but comfortable cabins. This place is only for men, presumably to reduce distraction and keep focus on the Divine :). In any case, great place to catch a breath and to focus on your perspective.

I lived there for almost a month in the summer of 1992. A fundamental experience in my life. There, in the welcoming silence of the ashram, I saw my life from a distance, from another perspective. Hard and exciting experience at the same time for the strength of the silence that forced me to learn to live with me and also to laugh at me ....Even after more than 20 years from that experience, I can still find that silence inside me when I look for it.

A Beautiful Place, great silence, natural stillness, as if to harmonize you ... see the crows chasing the eagles ... and you are going back to lose them ..; share with dedicated monks, ... as the days went by I realized that my ashram is in myself, in my own inner silence ... I was in August 2001.
