I am so happy to have discovered Complete Car Care Encinitas. I brought my Toyota Tacoma in because Air conditioner was not working and truck was also making a rattling sound when I turned. Lou was so great. He communicated what was wrong and broke down the cost to me. My truck was repaired timely, they were very thorough and price was much more reasonable than bringing it to the dealership. I will definitely be bringing my vehicles back to them. I highly recommend!

They kept me informed of problems and solutions and thrived to provide the most affordable. Taking an appointment, dropping the car, and picking it up were very easy. I have been taking my cars to Complete Car Care for about six years. Lou, Brandon, Aldo, Andy, & Erica are great. They are friendly and explain the diagnosis well. They also include a shuttle service which helps out a lot. I’ve taken my cars there for just about every service, including maintaining my older (beater) teenager car and my newer daily drivers. Brandon kept me in the loop on where things were at with my car throughout the day. When they thought they couldn’t get it done before closing he was willing to stay after to get it completed. I was able to get a car for the evening so I let them know that wasn’t necessary but it was above and beyond that they offered. My brakes are working great!!

Complete Car Care is professional and reliable. I use them for all three of my vehicles. My 2001 Jeep Cherokee and 2005 Jeep Wrangler both passed smog without any issues and the service was completed quickly while I waited.Lou went out of his way to find me a fuel tank after we discovered the tank was not in production anywhere to replace my damaged tank. He also accepted a same-day walk-in to fix an issue with one of my wheels and another time a tow drop-off when my car battery died completely. The customer service Ive been provided at CCC is outstanding and I will continue to use them as my preferred local mechanic.They also kindly sent me thank you cards in the mail with service vouchers and starbucks vouchers.

Took my 2015 Ram 1500 in for an oil change and fluids top off. I asked if they would recommend anything else for this truck given it has 57,000 miles on the odometer. The rep said a 60K service, transmission service and differential service. All for just over $1,000. I declined those services as I felt it was too expensive. I did however ask them to check the door lock and replace the cabin air filter which they said they would. Two hours later I was informed that the truck was done and ready for pickup. On arrival I asked how they made out with the door lock and cabin air filter. The rep told me they were too busy to get to it. So, they were not too busy to do all of the high dollar services but couldnt manage to look at the door or change the filter. Seems to me they just couldnt be bothered. Had they done so I would have become a permanent customer. Now, Im a one and done. Never going back.

I went in to make an appointment for a smog check and was surprised to find out they could do it immediately on a Friday afternoon! They said it would be approximately 1/2 hours and that is what it took. Very please to have it done so quickly!

We took our family car into this shop to have it looked at because it was overheating. $1300 later with a new radiator and thermostat they told us it was good to go. A few weeks later the car overheated again. We took it to a shop and found out the heads blew due to a bad radiator and hose clamp. They told us that we needed a whole new engine. Ended up being stuck on the side of the road for 4 hours before we could get it towed home. My husband called and they told him it was not their responsibility and we could call the radiator company about their warranty if we wanted to. They were quite rude about it as well.

I went in for Star/smog certification. They are on time and very agreeable.

Im glad our reviews got the owners attention. Response was something like your service was done 6 months ago it couldnt be our fault that the heads blew well Andy, it definitely is. Thats a great theory except that this is a family car we only use for road trips and it has less than 5k miles on it since you worked on it. Yes the radiator is a pressure system which explains why it took a while for it to go down (it only dumps coolant while driving) I put the pics up on your Facebook page so you can see the defective radiator for yourself. Lous got my number, give me a call when your ready to chat.Story: car overheated so we brought it in. They decided we needed a new radiator and thermostat. After testing everything with the new parts in, they said it was good and sent us home. A couple weeks later the car overheated again and blew the head gaskets. We took it to another shop who pressure tested it and found the lower radiator hose clamp was bad and coolant was dumping from it. The radiator cap housing on the radiator was also warped, causing it to lose pressure.We called this company back and they told us that head gaskets are notoriously faulty on Suburus and it must have blown on its own, it had nothing to do with them.We are now stuck with a $3-6k bill to replace the engine (due to the location of the head gaskets on this particular car)

Untrustworthy company. Exorbitantly priced. Quoted me nearly $4000 of work they claim I needed. I took my car back instead, after forking over $189 of wasted money. Took my car elsewhere and saved thousands of dollars. I’m not going near the place again. And I suggest you don’t either.

After 5 or 6 visits to Complete Car Care I have had only 1 visit I could say was negative. However after discussing it with them, they not only helped fixed the issue I had with my car but was more than willing to hear me out and ensure my satisfaction. This cannot be said for many shops around here. I hope to not have any issues with my car, however should I need to, I know who to trust and where to go.

I brought in my vehicle with little advance notice. Brandon was honest about being booked but worked in a diagnosis before the end of the day. He provided a thorough explanation of the problem along with an unbiased assessment of options. I felt respected and informed. I should not have been surprised, but I was when I found that not only were my brakes serviced promptly and professionally, but the next day I discovered that Complete Car Care also cleaned the corrosion from my battery terminals at no cost and without being asked. You can be sure I will be back.

Not sure they meant to but someone drained the brake fluid when I brought my old truck in for an inspection. So $190 later and I get to almost die on the way home. Called and of course they denied any culpability. Fool me once. As far as the inspection as with most shops they find everything they can wrong, and on this truck that is plenty, and then try and get you for all they can. Will not be using again unfortunately.

This place is incredible. The entire staff is pleasant and responsive. Brandon and Lou up front have been working on my vehicles for years.One of the many things I love about this shop is that they will not try and upsell you.Prices are reasonable and the communication is great. They also finish the job on the day and the time they say they will.

Excellent service! I needed my car fixed ASAP for an 8 hour drive. I called and I was able to drop it off that morning and get squeezed in for diagnosis (during COVID) and they really prioritized me to get me done in time for my trip! They also worked with my warranty well (had issues at another repair shop).

So let me start off by saying they are the most unprofessional group of mechanics. They know little to nothing. Lou and Brandon are also very disrespectful and don’t care about your needs.You always hear about shady mechanics and companies and you hope to never run into them. Well, they are that company. All I needed done is to replace my serpentine belt. Super easy, super cheap ( $150 ) Brandon then recommended it get my crank pully replaced. So I did so ( $500 ).After an entire day I then receive a phone call around 4pm saying that they had BROKE my radiator while trying to remove it and that BRANDON AND LOU are making ME pay for it! ($1,000 )After arguing back and forth I ended up paying for the new radiator at cost ($140) so now the total is ($640)After waiting 4 days for my car they call me and say it’s ready to be picked up and they test drive it a few times and everything g is working flawless.I get down to complete car care and immediately knew something was wrong with my car. I took it back 2 minutes later and told them the car isn’t running right nor boosting. I have a 2014 Subaru wrx.They told me they won’t fix it and there’s still nothing wrong.I then take it straight to Subaru in Carlsbad to have it diagnosed. After two days of waiting Subaru calls me and tells me that they had not reconnected the turbo inlet hose back. Along with taken bolts off my engine bay. Then the radiator that they “broke” was not pressurized correctly and they also blew my head gasket during the entire process. ($4,000) in repairs.So all in all my cars been in the shop for a week and a half, nothing was fixed, they are a shady company who will “sabotage” your car if they don’t get their way and now I will be taking them to small claims court to get my car properly fixed by Subaru.Lou, Brandon, and the mechanic that worked on my car. You should be ashamed of yourselves acting like shady children to a paying customer. You will be hearing from my attorney.

Great auto repair company right here.Went in to get an oil change and my brakes looked at (possibly replacing the pads) and they said the brakes were in good shape and had a lot of time left on them (they could have very easily replaced them and said they were in “bad” shape, but instead they were honest and didn’t take advantage).100% would recommend taking your car here - a) you’ll have the peace of mind in knowing they aren’t just trying to squeeze money out of you and b) they do a high quality job.From beginning to end there was clear communication about what was needed and how long it would take. Very seamless process.

Been going here for years. These guys are honest and dependable. They go out of their way to make sure you’re vehicle is safe and up to par and they really try to look out for their customers. No extra or unnecessary work or fees and stuff That you sometimes get at other garages.

The mechanics worked diligently to make the repairs to my 1989 Alfa Spider so it passed the CA smog test. It took time and was not inexpensive, but the Alfa passed and is now registered.

I was quoted $170-250 for a receiver hitch installation, the higher range if modifications were needed (which they weren’t). I was charged $225 for about an hour of labor no parts. Service was fine - price was not.

I was having an unfortunate day to say the least and then my car battery died.. after being sold the wrong battery from an auto parts shop down the street I drove to find the nearest mechanic shop and came across Car Care Encinitas. They sold me a less expensive battery, installed it for free and I went back to return the other battery. On top of the fast service they were very very kind to me and my 6 year old son. We will definitely be coming back here to service our cars in the future.

I took both of our cars in for a smog test this year so visited this business on two separate occasions. Both times I was pleased with their speed, kindness, and the work they completed. I took my son and they gave him a little toy car and were very friendly with him! They have also made changes to their lobby to make it COVID safe. They were extremely helpful and I definitely recommend!

The California DMV did not send me my registration renewal notification. They had sent me a notice online that I needed to send them an image of a smog test. I went to complete car care, and got my smog test in 20 minutes, and have emailed a copy of that to the DMV. Complete car care is very thorough.

I took my car in to get a quote on repairs after receiving inflated repair costs from a local chain...a place Id been going for years! CCCE hooked me up and saved me money. Lou also advised what needed to be repaired first, based on safety. These guys do great work and are reasonable! I will be back. Its important to support local businesses in these times! So impressed with this place. They were honest and upfront and didn’t try to add on any extra services that I didn’t need (like other places did). I worked with Lou and he was great about explaining everything to me and making sure I was comfortable with what they were doing. Highly recommend!!

Smog test is listed online as $50. Use the $10 coupon, but it will still be $50 because they must have raised the regular price to $60. They were fast, done in a half hour at least.

The team at Complete Auto has taken care of our household vehicles for over 7 years. They are honest and thoughtful. They fix what your car needs and will suggest other repairs without gouging you if claiming other (expensive) repairs are necessary. While everyone is nice, Lou is our favorite and always takes care of us.

Peter and Alex helped me out with a 2010 Subaru Forester that needed a lot of work. Really appreciate the quality of their work as well as how quickly they fixed my car! My dad and I have taken many cars there and will continue to for as long as we can. :)

Brought in a 2 year old Subaru with battery and electrical issues. They made time for it on very short notice, and Brandon kept me updated on diagnostic progress. They are professional, great customer service skills, and know what they are doing. This is the second Subaru I have brought to them.

Communication was clear, constant and pleasant. Also my AAA tow truck driver who said he was a former mechanic said that he would recommend this place. Its nice that I was able to get my car parked in their lot outside of their working hours. Also they guaranteed their work for 3 years.
