Terrible customer service!! And erica the service manager is rude and doesn’t care to help customers. I have been with Hyundai for 6 years and have never had this bad of customer service. First my engine seized up on 2 year old car. Whatever bought an engine for $5000 because they wanted $12,000. Wouldn’t cover it under warranty. Then the tow truck gets there to get my car off their lot and they refused to move a car so he could get my car. I go to look at my car and the engine parts are everywhere all over my windshield. I ask them to put it back together and they said nope it will be $160. I will never do business with them again!

I took my used car for an appraisal, and the offer was soooo low that it was insulting. There are three possible explanations for this: 1) Their markups are astronomical, 2) they were trying to take advantage of me as a female customer, or 3) both. Seriously people - are we living in 2021 or 1951?

From the first time we met the salesman Buddy Baker he was like an old friend not pushy very willing to help from start to finish, the whole experience was one of the besr weve ever had, Jaclyn Paine in finance was also as equally the same she really fought hard to get us a loan with good terms and when it was all said and done she had lowered our payment by 70$ a month totally unexpected. Kylie Dawson and Elyria Hyundai are a great team to purchase a vehicle from. We have purchased 4 Hyundai vehicles from this dealership in the last 10 years and never had any issues. My wife decided to purchase a new 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited and Kylie Dawson was our sales person. She is exceptionally knowledgeable regarding all of the vehicles and answered every question I had(there were a lot) Although they did not have the color we wanted, Kylie found it at another dealership and brought it in for us to purchase. We were so satisfied with the buying experience and price, that I went back a few days later and traded in my 2018 GMC Terrain in for a new 2021 Tucson Limited. (Once again they had to go find the color I wanted and brought in for me. If you are in the market for a new vehicle, go see Elyria Hyundai and ask for Kylie Dawson!

Do not purchase a vehicle from this establishment!! Their customer service leaves much to be desired and they are very dishonest and unethical. I purchased a jeep wrangle from here and there were multiple problems the popped up in under 12hrs of me purchasing it. The most disturbing was the fact that they painted the tires to hide the dry rot. Dry rot tires is a potentially fatal situation making the vehicle not even safe to drive. This act was a violation of the Consumer Sales Practices Act. The only reason this was even noticed is because they got paint on one of the front rims, had they not been so careless with painting the tires it would have gone unnoticed. There were 2 other minor issues with the vehicle. One was definitely covered by the warranty (Coolant thermostat needed replaced), the other was lose tie rods (Im not sure if that was covered by the warranty or not). As if the physical issues where not enough the miss represented my APR on my loan. The APR (4.64%) I was told by the loan officer was no where on my loan contract (4.54% and 4.99% were). When I contacted the dealership to expressing my concerns the following day the sales associate did not return my text. Not only that I called and left a message with the sales manager who also did not return my call. Towards the close of business time I called the dealership again and ask for the sales manager, I inquired with the receptionist if he had left for the day. She informed me that he was indeed still there and asked if I wanted to be transferred. I relied yes and it went to his voicemail again. after not receiving any response from the sales associate and the sales manager I put a stop payment on the check for my down payment and sent a certified letter to the general manager. A week after the stop payment I was contacted by the general manager. Hes response was either bring us a check or bring it back. He made no attempt to even rectify the matter. I was going to return the vehicle but there were SEVERAL falsities that the dealer had told me. They told me that the contract was void because I put the stop payment on the check. The bank that the loan was through told me it was indeed a valid contract and I still owed the money for the vehicle and the down payment check was between me and the dealership. The bank also told me that it would take up to 30 days to remove the loan from my credit and would not be approved for another auto loan until it fell off my credit. The day I was scheduled to bring back the vehicle the general manager was not there and left it in the hands of the sales manager that did not return my call. The sales manager could not tell me anything about the return. I clearly stated I would not return the vehicle if it was coming back to the dealership as a voluntary repossession. I was not going to damage my credit to return the vehicle. The sales manager state that he didnt know anything about it except that it was to come back that day and then proceeded to ask me if there was something I needed to sign!!! I flat out told him that I would not return the vehicle without some kind of documentation that I was no longer responsible for the loan. When I asked him about what I was to do without a vehicle for 30days that it was on me to figure that out and the sooner you bring it back the faster it will be off your credit which was BS as the bank had already told me it was not true. I told the sales manager I had contacted an attorney and was meeting with him the following week regarding the matter and left. The general manager sent me a certified letter which I gave to my attorney, as he advised me to no longer contact the dealership directly and let him handle correspondence moving forward. He reached out to the dealership stating that the down payment be put in escrow and once the repairs were completed and the tires replaced the funds would be released to the dealership. They did not even respond to my attorney the repossessed the vehicle, and trespassed on my private property to do so, which is illegal in Ohio.

This was my second time leasing a Hyundai, and first time at Elyria Hyundai and I’m so glad I made the switch to this dealership. Faviola was my sales representative and she was so friendly, answered all of my questions and really took the time to go over everything and make sure I was not left with any questions about my purchase or vehicle. She also followed up with me a few days after my purchase to see how I was liking my vehicle and if I had any questions or concerns, which was not something I had gotten from my previous dealership. I cannot stop raving to everyone I know about the positive experience I had here.

Really bad experience. Buying the car was petty easy, everyone was friendly. They didnt explain a lot of things to us, like what is REALLY included in the warranty or that we were buying an extra $3000 warranty that we didnt want. We cancelled that and all the friendliness went out the window. They said the car was in good condition with no problems. Less than a month later, after only driving it on average 5 miles a day to work and back we get a check engine light. Turns out the catalytic converter needs replacement. That will cost $1500. They berated us for having cancelled the $3000 warranty before, but I did some further investigation and found out that this wouldnt even be covered by the warranty! They just continue to pin everything on us, they literally said that if we wanted a car without issues we should have bought a newer one with fewer miles. I understand the catalytic converter often needs replacement after 10 years or 100,000 miles, but just seems like suspiciously bad luck that this issue was only known a few weeks AFTER we bought the car. We passed the e-check too. I am not a car expert but if nothing else, they did not have good customer service or offer us a useful warranty.

I brought in my 2015 Santa fe for a clicking under the dash related to door locks & a rattle when starting or getting on the accelerator. After about 40 minutes I was told by the advisor that when they put the fuse back in for the door locks it was currently not acting up anymore & for the rattle they said they checked the exhaust, heat shields, etc. & for some unknown reason he said they checked for codes, which as an ex mechanic I cant see why that would have any effect on a noise that sounded like the exhaust system hitting the floor, I think it was just to make it sound like they did a lot. They said they couldnt find any problem & that the noise may be normal for the mileage! Is that how a 69,000 mile Hyundai is supposed to sound? I hope not!! No car should ever make that kind of noise unless there is something wrong with it, they just didnt want to take the time to find it. I went back up to the advisor & asked how much labor he was charging & he said an hour. I said that was unfair because it only takes 20 seconds to install the fuse (like I did that morning to see if it was still acting up) & then you know instantly if the problem is still there or not, & since they didnt want to take the time to fully diagnose the rattle, that a half an hour at most would be fair. He then said that you understand I have to pay the Tech an hour but I was only going to charge you a half an hour So now I am being lied to like I am stupid. I was also appalled that the labor rate was $159. / hr which is $25. / Hr more than Ganley Hyundai in Parma who I was also un happy with when I purchased my Hyundai recently. So apparently there arent any decent Hyundai dealers that I can have work on my car, I have an extended warranty and I am getting tired of working on these things myself. Its sad that I cant rely on my local or maybe any Hyundai dealers to work on my car. My first Hyundai experience isnt going good so far although I do love the Vehicle. So I basically paid $91. with tax for nothing more than getting my intelligence insulted. Also he said they were going to wash it & I told him I didnt want it washed but it was washed anyway and a weird paper was left on the floor that said chicken on it & when I went back in to give it to them, instead of taking it from me the other advisor told me to just toss it on the shelf over there. The whole experience was bad. The lack of competency at that dealership is just sad and I shouldnt have to waste my time going to a dealer feeling like I was just robbed and still have the same problem as I had when I brought it in. If the Hyundai Professionals cant fix my car who can?

I havent set foot in thus dealership so I can only attest to my treatment beforehand. I saw a pathfinder on autolist and proceeded to contact the dealership about it via text. Being an hour and a half away, and being a haggle, I wanted to strike a deal and put a deposit down all contingent on a test drive and actually checking the car out. Chris Ansley was very rude about the whole thing. I asked whether he wanted to work with me on getting me the best possible dealnor if he wanted me to work with another dealership. He told me that he wanted me to go somewhere else. Id avoid this dealership if you want to haggle on price at all.

The car we test drove completely died within two minutes of the test drive. The response from Faviola Becerra was That has nothing to do with me. She then said the battery was dead, when clearly it was an electrical issue. If they arent testing these cars to ensure that they are roadworthy enough to make it through the first two minutes of a test drive, that is extremely concerning. I was thankful that it didnt just completely die on the highway, thankfully we hadnt made it there yet. I specifically asked for a safe and reliable car for myself and my daughter. It took at least twenty minutes for the salesperson to come pick us up, and the electrical was so bad the hazard lights didnt come on for ten minutes after I had pressed the button. This place is a nightmare.

I recently bought a used Jeep Cherokee from this location for my 17 year old son. To make a long story short, the condition of the vehicle was not what was described to me. After getting the SUV home and having it inspected (bought from out of state) I found that it needed nearly 1500.00 in front end repairs. I called the dealership and explained my situation and requested that they stand behind the sale and repair it. I had to drive the vehicle back to them, but their management staff and the staff in the service department took care of me at no charge and made the situation right. There arent many dealerships that would go to the extent that they did to make a tough situation correct. If you are looking for a dealership that stands behind their product - you can trust that they will.

Did not like my experience this time at all. My wife and I went to purchase a vehicle . Previous to this, we have purchased 3 Hyundais and have had no problem. Sadly, this will be our last. Gave the salesman all my info upfront, he came back to tell us that unfortunately, you have so much negative equity that there is nothing I can do for you. He did not even bother to explain to us the exact amountof negative equity. Instead he gave us the bumb rush. The car that my wife purchased before we bought our current one had negative equity and that salesman worked with us. We felt humiliated and embarrassed. We will not be returning nor will.we be recommending Hyundai to anyone. Its unfortunate because I was planning on purchasing a vehicle in February but will be taking my business elsewhere.

Drove from 2 hours away to test drive a used Fusion that should have not even been for sale in that condition. The vehicle felt like it was going to explode and was letting out a ton of smoke from the tailpipe. The shifting was horrible. There is clearly something very wrong with that vehicle. Hopefully everyone is smart enough to steer clear from that vehicle. Waste of trip. Not to mention that were dumping every customer to one salesman who was nice but clueless I was embarrassed for him. Wouldnt trust buying a used vehicle from here ever! Dont waste your time...

Ive bought a new vehicle from here. They did not explain much about the car. They did not explain anything about the warranty of my car. They said it was covered by free maintenance until 36k miles and paid for by hyundai. I went there after 4 months to ask about when the service is due, they said we want you to give us 5 stars review on Google and we will check on Google or we will not give you the free service that was included with the car. I felt I needed to get my experience out there. I will be taking my car to any other hyundai dealership as the service is included with my car so I dont really have to get it done at your dealership.

Currently I am on my fourth Hyundai & have had no issues with the vehicles. That being said, this dealership (outside of the sales team) has been on a sharp decline for about 2 years now in the service department.Twice oil changes were so messed up, I had to go to another dealership to correct mistakes (paid for by me). Just today, I was treated very rudely by an employee who, when I tried to inquire why they include free car washes when either no one can be found to wash your car, or they ignore you on purpose, actually LAUGHED at me and stated it is a free car wash, get over it. NOT customer service.This saddens me because this used to be a great and convenient dealership that due to continue turnover in the service dept, has literally made this a place I will NEVER purchase from again.

I was utterly appalled that Hyundai would allow someone as rude and unprofessional as Holly to represent their name and brand. I experienced issues with my air conditioning blower while on a long drive and wanted this location to take a look prior to my return. I was greeted by Holly who was rude, very short with me and would not offer me explanations for anything. Her total lack of customer service skills or even person skills is remarkable for someone that works in a service position. I have never been talked down to as much as I was in the time spent at this location. My final out the door impression was witnessing her make fun of someone on speaker phone when their was a language barrier. The person on the other end was trying to write down the address and she was making it as difficult as possible and literally laughing about it with another service employee. The fact that this went on and in front of another customer, makes it surprising she is employed. Based on other service reviews, someone should be taking notice.

I cant say enough on how great of a job they did!Jill the service representative was very professional. She listened to all my questions and addressed each one.While doing all she could to help me out.The service technicians worked quick and very efficiently. They also looked into other areas of my car and addressed possible problems before they became an issue.Over all wonderful experience. Thank you!

I was told that even though I had a credit score of 720 and no credit card debt that the best interest rate they could do was 5% even though they were advertising 0%. The salesman tried to play games and even ran after us as we left. I ended up going to ganley Hyundai of Parma and was instantly approved for 0% APR and was given double for my trade in than what they would offer. I would not recommend this dealership unless you know the salesman personally.

The oil change itself was fine. The sales and service representatives are nice and friendly. However I asked for them to check a noise that I hear everyday every time I turn at a low speed. They told me they didn’t hear anything. They told me it could have been ice or I’m turning too rapidly or the tires are hitting the mud flaps. However, I do not take my turns too sharp and ice has not been an issue. In fact there hasn’t been ice on the vehicle for about a month. I had mentioned that my turns have been the same since the vehicle and that I’m not aggressively driving my vehicle. The service representative said they looked and nothing was wrong. The noise I am still hearing and in fact heard it leaving the dealership. I’m very disappointed about that. I will be going back to get this resolved.

Was visiting the Cleveland area a few weeks ago, and stopped into Elyria Hyundai to ask about fixing some minor rear fender damage where a hit curb tore out some of my fastening pins. Pat in service was very helpful - looked up the parts required, and immediately hopped under the car and replaced the pins. Easy, fast - and Pat was good conversation throughout.The rest of the staff I interacted with were also all polite and professional. The entire short experience I had at Elyria Hyundai was nothing short of 5 Star - and thanks again to Pat for the simple & easy solution.
