Why is a tire shop and mechanic mixed up with RAC?

My family television died yesterday.Literally spent and entire afternoon setting up a deal to have one delivered. The gentleman walked me through this entire process, my address, employment, all verified.I gave a payment of almost 80 dollars, and even recieved an instillation time and had all contracts signed.I received a phone call not even an hour before it was to be dropped off asking for different references, because although they ACTUALLY LEFT A VOICEMAIL on my fathers vm, they couldnt get ahold of anyone else. Why are you hounding people for nothing? On the actual application, the reference part is optional, I have very few family, and my husbands parents are dead. after being told they are leaving voicemails on peoples phones bc of my personal application to their company, even if I had more people I wouldnt have given those names. So now they have 80 dollars of my money, that I wont see for a week, and I have wasted an entire afternoon bc some uninformed worker wanting that commission so badly, he did his job a** backwards. Why would you accept payment, have me rearrange my entire afternoon, and have me waiting for a delivery I wasnt even approved on? This alone seems ridiculous shady and due to the fact youre discriminated against for lack of family or friends is enough to make me tell everyone to take their business elsewhere. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. My employer was verified so Im assuming my boss was called as well? This is so embarrassing and a breech of privacy. I better see my money in 5 days.

I rented an Xbox one s for 2 weeks and I had to work all day on the day I had to return so I called and asked if I can pay to rent it for another 2 weeks and the guy on the phone who sounded completely incompetent says “We can’t give you an extension” without any explanation. No idea how this place is even open still they get no business, they lie about how long you can rent to get more money out of you and never explain anything when you ask questions. These workers are slow don’t waste your time going here.

They have lots of deals and willing to work with most people but the 200%- 300% total value markup is not worth renting to own from Rentacenter.

I had a tire that was blown out and they fixed it at relatively Fair price. Its almost better to buy the parts yourself and go there to have them fix it. Because if they use their parts they can charge whatever they want for the part. Is best to do your homework on a part and see what they are going for online or in stores and then bring it into Firestone and pay them to put it in

THIS IS NOT MY FIRST PROBLEM WITH THIS SHOP! After spending quite a while on this post it became too long so here is a condensed version. I purchased my tires and had oil changes many times at this shop. Some of their techs are completed incompetent. I requested and oil change and tire rotation yesterday. I used do this this all myself but am too busy anymore. I rotate my tires every oil change (7500 miles with synthetic oil). I cross rotate them (theyre not directional tires) so they wear evenly and last much longer (the young techs usually dont know how to do this). I mark the tires with 1-4 so I know they are rotated properly. when I picked up the vehicle the tires were NEVER rotated. I questioned the shop manager and he said he asked the tech and they were rotated. I brought him out to my truck to show him how I knew they were not. he offered to rotate them. I also checked the oil which was low and looked dirty the had to add oil. I ask them to put the lug nuts on by hand so they cannot be cross threaded and impossible to remove (this happened before and they had to replace the whole stud and nut). If I got a flat the vehicle would need to be towed to a shop! When the rotated the tires yesterday I noticed the tech taking very long on the other side of the truck which I could not see and I heard him using his impact gun for along time. I knew he had cross threaded the lug nut but had no time to check it. I check the lug nuts this morning and one was cross threaded. Brought the vehicle back again and they are now re-changing the oil and replacing the stud and lug nut which will take several hours.Tthe pic above shows the oil checked after the dipstick was wiped several times. the left is the dipstick oil, the right is clean oil. does that look clean? I showed that rag to an experienced tech and he asked me how many miles I had on the oil!! I told him about 1 mile! It was not clean oil. Very frustrated and will NEVER use this shop again . I know the tech was young but this type of work ethic cannot be tolerated. I am a business owner and fully understand about training employees but this in unacceptable.

I highly recommend Turnersville Firestone. Both Mike and Brandon are very helpful and honest with everything. I dont understand why people are posting in a negative manner because I have not once felt like they took advantage of me because I am a woman or upsaled me just to get more money out of me. You pay for the quality of the service. Keep up the good work!

Downgraded from 5 stars to 2 - and only giving 2 because theyve never hurt any of my cars. HOWEVER, my most recent experience have left me so unsatisfied and at a lost for trust that Im never bringing any of my vehicles back. Below is a copy and paste of what I sent to Firestone corporate in response to their request for feedback:I have been going to this Firestone for years without issue, but something felt grossly off with the recommended services given to me after I brought one of my cars in for an oil change. I decided to take my car back (asking Firestone not to do anything at all - but they did an oil change anyway), and bring it to the Mini Cooper dealer in Mt. Laurel for a second opinion. NONE of the services Firestone recommended, which would have totaled $1300 were actually necessary for my car. Im extremely disappointed and wont be bringing any of my cars back because now I dont trust you guys anymore.

Brought my car in for an alignment, and after waiting for over an hour they told me that there was too much play in the frontend of the car to align, and quoted me for repair. The car is very high mileage, but I replaced tie rods and wheel hubs on the car about 2 years ago and was suspicious. Took the car home, lifted it up, and felt that the frontend was solid. Took the car to an independent shop and asked them to do an alignment check and comment on frontend play. They said there was no issue and aligned it without a problem.

Bought brand new tires here now even a year ago. Had leaky valves twice and had a tire pop on the highway I was supposed to have a warranty called the store and of course it was not covered I bought the wrong warranty. Lol what a joke. They didnt even try to help of apologize so on top of the 500+ I spent on brand new tires I need to buy a new tire . The money back rebate is a joke as well I never got it. Youd think with brand new tires having this many issues they would be willing to help me out. I would never reccomend firestone tires !! Dont let the warranty convince you it will just be the wrong kind of warranty when something goes wrong for the third time.

Went in for a simple tire patch. Had a nail stuck that you could see directly in the middle of the tire tread. Dave came out with a quote of $660 for four new tires!?!?!?!..they said because of the angle the nail went in I need to get four new tires....they should be ashamed. I went right down the street and got it patched for $30. No problems. The irony in this is behind the guy is their mission statement which is honestly is the corner stone of doing business Harvey firestone is prolly turning over in his grave at these greedy corporate idiots.

Terrible!!! I got a synthetic oil change, everything was fine at first. I started driving on a major highway and started to hear a muffling noise and my oil light came on, which I thought was odd considering I had just changed my oil!! The muffling noise accelerated the further I drove and at that point I knew something was wrong. I pulled to curb, called Firestone and they informed me that a oil filter may be loose, I dont recommend driving any further I was on route 1 in Philadelphia, which is the busiest highway especially at rush hour!! My brother had to physically go in there for them to take it seriously. Then they proceeded to say well tow it to the nearest Firestone, which would take 2 hours at the least! So Im stuck in the middle of a major highway, with no oil, might have blown my transmission/engine and I have to wait 2 hours to get towed! Oh and after all of this I realized that the sticker for the next oil change indicated that the next oil change was 3,000 miles later, I got a synthetic oil change which means its supposed to get changed every 5,000 miles! Terrible service, and a waste of money which I have every intention of getting back!

I have been going to Firestone for 10 years. I take all my vehicles to Phil the store manage, I used to go to Phil at the Glassboro location because I live in Pitman but Phil transferred to Turnersville so now i go to Turnersville. The commute is worth it. Great dude!
