The store has an large assortment of new and used things but, the prices are unreal. The entire reason ppl shop at a goodwill is to find good deals and save money. You wont find many deals at this store unless its one of their 1/2 clothes sales. If youre going there I recommend going the last Saturday of the month for the 1/2 off whatever color tag sale theyre having. Good luck!

Goodwill was great, lots of good stuff. Only negative, I was there with my wife and 4 year old and 2 year old girls and 2 sketchy men were following us and kept watching us. They had no items or cart so we decided to get out real quick and checkout. We told the cashier to make sure we made it to the car safely and about the men. I went and got the car and brought it to the front to pick up my kids and wife and the two men followed her out and she had to throw the kids in and we got out quick before anything happened. Be vigilant. Speak up.

I can also always find big wicker baskets to keep all of her stuff organized for when she comes to visit. I get all of her books here, lots of arts and crafts stuff too! Win win for me!!

Compared to other goodwills this one is great. The selection is way more up to date then some of the others Ive been to. All goodwills have extremely high prices for their donated items.. Ive seen dollar store items for sale for a dollar.... thats, used dollar store items, resold for, a dollar. But if your looking for a great selection of up to date items, this good will has it. They need public restrooms though.

I am glad we have a Goodwill in our area but many prices on various items are almost as much as same brand new itemvin a store. While their mission is a wonderful thing they need to still keep the prices low..... After all you cant work at Goodwill and hope to make big bucks there.!!

I use to frequent this goodwill often throughout the years, but I find myself visiting this location less and less particularly because of the overpricing of donated items and overall disorganization this location has struggled with for years even after the expansion and renovation. I understand the target items cost more because they “pay” for them or at least that’s what we’ve been told and that’s fine, I’m ok with the pricing of some of the target items. However, donated items should be at least 50% or less then their original retail prices at goodwill because they are DONATED. The store doesn’t pay for these items. I’ve noticed DONATED preowned items being priced exactly at the original retail price or ABOVE the retail price, as well as items that are dingy and gross being priced well over 50 percent of the original retail price... I’ve donated preowned items to this location and noticed the items I donated being displayed on the floor priced more then I actually paid for the items RETAIL! Needless to say, I no longer donate to this location and if the extreme overpricing continues, I may stop shopping here as well. The overpricing at this location will inevitably be it’s downfall.

I get my Levi jeans from goodwill. They are brand new never used for $6.00 a pair. I always check for jeans and name brand shirts. I only buy clothes when they are either brand new or so close one cant tell. Let alone they have all kinds of this and that for sale as well.

A Lot of stuff, sadly much of the interesting stuff is too over priced. They have a no refund policy but want to sell items without the ability to test for more than a quarter of the new product price. It’s obsurd. I mainly visit these stablishments for cheap electronics but that is getting too hard nowadays. You can easily find similar prices online without leaving your home.

Review №31

I absolutely agree with the other reviewers! They are so overpriced it made me cringe. What topped it off is that when I asked for the bathroom, one of the workers said, Sure, just a second. He then went to the cash register and asked someone who then told him, that, No, we do not have public restrooms. Now, I dont look scraggly or anything like that and I was appalled that they obviously do this on some kind of selective basis.

Took me 2 minutes to see what the other reviews were saying about this place: Found a punch bowl priced for over $20 when the same exact bowl was $4.00 at another location. Then I spotted 2 small milkglass plates where one was literally cracked in half and they tried to tape it back together so you couldnt tell. Luckily the crack was just very slightly exposed. The price tag as I read it... Over $14. This dude is out of his mind with greed. In addition to the reviews mentioning the managers refusal to allow small children to use their facilities - I witnessed the manager refusing a mother from changing her babys diaper in their bathroom. The baby was crying and the mother was arguing with the man because she had taken the bus and thought it was unreasonable that the manager couldnt simply provide a safe place for her to change her baby since she had just purchased items from his store. She said she was a paying customer and his response was Not by much commenting on how little she spent Im assuming. Since when are goodwill managers into putting people down for not spending a lot in their stores? Isnt that the point?!?! Myself and about four others walked out of the store immediately after witnessing this. The other woman who was working the register seemed mortified by how her boss was acting... Clearly its not just the customers who dislike this idiot.Overall very disturbing. Im reporting this store to headquarters and I hope the rest of you will do the same. This guy is a disgrace to the goodwill name and is taking advantage of those less fortunate. Please do not shop at this location and consider going a few miles further to avoid having to experience this horrible environment. This guy doesnt deserve a dime of your money.

This place is so over priced its sickening. Goodwill is suppose to be helping people this place charges a fortune I donated so much stuff and I went in a week later to look around and they had priced one picture frame for $10 I didnt even pay $10 for it and it was brand new. This place is sick and is a joke. This has to be stopped..they say there not a non profit organization however they REALLY ARE. If you truly want to donate anything to help someone in need dont give it to goodwill take it to the help center the womens shelter the domestic violence shelter the health department or social services.

Even by thrift store standards, this place is a ripoff. For some reason this particular Goodwill thinks that by charging obscene prices but giving a discount for two days out of the month, that makes them a worthwhile charity. Bypass this store and donate your things elsewhere. The salaries of those in charge of Chesapeake GW are beyond ridiculous for a charity and the lower income folks who shop here are the ones that pay..

Worst Goodwill ever!!! The prices were insane! Shirts from Walmart that retail for 5.00 were 4.89 and filled with stains. A basic glass that I seen NEW at the dollar store was 2.00 a football Jersey for a kid that was so discolored and stained it should be thrown out was over 10.00 . The employees were beyond rude and said that these are actually good prices and have come down. For a store that is supposed to be doing good will seems to be they are just getting greedy. No person who is in need could afford to buy clothes for a family hear. Absolutely insane especially when most of the items are donated to them for FREE. A news story should be done to show how greedy they have become. A business like this should not be receiving any of the charity tax exemptions that they do.
