I dont leave reviews alot but pep boys is my go to mechanic shop than brakemasters. I arrived to break masters 15 minutes early, waited 35-40 minutes past my appointment and my car was still waiting to be brought in while all the workers at break masters were sitting not doing anything. Management does not make the effort to put them to work and when I walked to pep boys they took my car as soon as I took them my vehicle next door. Service was fast and when I left pep boys, the brakemasters personnel walked out of the garage and stared as I drove off. Will return to pep boys for future car services!!! Fast and friendly personnel!!

I cant speak for the rest of the shops in El Paso, but the Pep Boys on Dyer is a trustworthy shop to go to. The one shop on S. Americas seems pretty aggressive and even though they said and did some things, Dyer Street still took care of me and I greatly appreciate it.Integrity and support is so much more valuable than just trying push people through. You can tell Dyer street has a strong team, good leadership and values their customers. I will always see them before anyone else in the future. Thank you guys for keeping us on the road.

They worked quickly to get me back on the road before the heat starts up again.Were so grateful because the dealership couldnt figure it out and our son has therapy twice a week.Definitely recommend! They let you make an appointment for oil change, you let them know the year, make, model and engine type before making an appointment just to let you drive all the way. To tell you in person they do not have the filter. They can make appointment after 6 since some of us work. But they say they wont make it in time. Then what is the point of having appointment at that time. Act as if they are the only ones in town

Called twice to get a new set of tires for our vehicle, phone service was hardly helpful and not friendly at all. Took the vehicle in at 9 am. We went by the shop at 12:30 because we were told it would be ready around 1pm. It hadn’t even been touched! They then went and started on the car after going in and asking why there had not been any work on the car yet. It took them about an hour to do the service and the work was sloppy and made a mess of the tires and the rims. Highly do not recommend.

Called on a Saturday a few hours outside of El Paso with a concern. They saw us when we arrived, did a fix to get us back on the road and were super gracious. What an amazing reflection of El Paso hospitality.

Great service every time and my favorite go to master technician is always Alfredo V. Worth my money.

Master mechanic is always gone and nobody can do anything

Needed an emergency tire as we are not from here, one of the only tire shops open on Sunday. Sebastian was fast and very nice in helping us! Not to mention he also gave us a discount. I 100% recommend this tire shop.

When I arrived for my oil change appointment the guy at the desk told me it would cost $189. When I questioned the amount (very different than prices on website)...he said, prices have gone up because of COVID. I was smart enough to walk away (quickly) and had my oil changed for $59.99, elsewhere. This guy was a crook.

If I could give the a 0 I would. They charged me 52% more than their quote without telling me beforehand and blindsided me when I came to pick up my truck. I honestly believe they conned me because I’m a young woman who knows very little about vehicles. DO NOT GO HERE. The manager, Abraham, is extremely rude, maintained his lies when confronted, and blamed me for not asking more questions. I am active duty Air Force and he also tried to stolen valor me when mentioned. Terrible customer service and completely shady.

Had a flat tire, went to dyer store and they told me they could not fix it because the nail went through the tire and i needed to buy a new one. They were selling me One tire for almost $250!!!. Told them no and went to Sams. They were able to fix it in less than 10 min. Pep boys horrible service!!

Needs cosmetic updating but Gabriel service manager is friendly. Can get a bit pricey but no corners cut. Competitive oil changes. Pretty fast service depending on the day. Free air. Overall pretty good place for honesty and quality work. Nice deals on tires too and you get good coupons in the mail with the pep boys tag. Good warranty as well. I brought my Chrysler town and country in for oil change.

An updated honest review with one less star. I never had any issue in regarding fixing my old Chevy. The mechanics are skillful and experience. I trust a lot of the staff and they have always been very reasonable. The end results is what truly counts.Needless to say, at times the professionalism especially regarding being polite and having manners runs from lukewarm to cold. When a customer walks in whether it is a familiar face or old, female or male, (or) young or mature, the standard courtesy is to say, Hello / How are you? / Good Morning. Therefore make the customer feel that their business is much appreciative here. Majority of the salesmen (mechanics) are good, while some need improvement in social settings and communicative/persona skills.

I was heading out of town and heard a strange sound coming from my van. I stopped here and explained my predicament to the gentleman behind the service desk (sorry I forgot your name). He got one of his mechanics (Oscar) immediately and we went for a drive. He assured me the sounds were normal. I was able to go on my week long road trip with peace of mind and Oscar was right...van ran perfectly. I so appreciate the honesty and time spent. I will definitely return in the future for all my vehicles. Thank you for a great experience!

They price match autozone so check prices first. Got my sons vehicle serviced here and though the parts were more here, they price matched and they did the installation here. Will definitely go back. Work was done right the first time.

Incompetence!!! When Abraham is not working the ones left n charge are completely incompetent. I was going there for 10 years, it is now so bad that I have just taken my business elsewhere. Not worth the hassle anymore.

I brought my son in laws truck for an oil change an they told me it would take two hours, boy Im sure glad I take my truck somewhere else thats not stuck in the 70s !!

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Theres a good variety of merchandise for your vehicle here. They helped me find the correct windshield wipers for my truck and also installed them for me at no cost. Happy with my purchases and their great service.

The guy on the Auto side was very discourteous. The man had us wait a long time and then when it was my time to get served he immediately assisted the Mexican girl standing behind me. I felt he was bias and racist. He then finally got to me and i asked for a tire plug and he then said 2hr wait. I said for a tire plug are you kidding? I went back to the store side and those guys were amazing helped me select a great plug kit and let me borrow pliers and even got me free air. I do not reccomend the auto side especially not for soldiers spend your money elsewhere they suck.. they need new management and more consideration for different ethnicities. The store side on the other hand top of the line customer service those guys need a raise and a pat on the back hats off to those gentleman. Auto side those guys ill catch a flat next time before i even think of speaking to them.

I ran over two nails that were causing a slow leak so I came in to have them removed and repaired (simple plug). Pepboys told me that not only was the tire damaged beyond repair, but that all 4 tires were extremely worn out and I would need to replace all of them. I just moved into town after spending several years as a mechanic in the military so I knew they were lying to me lol. Went to another shop and left with my repaired tire in less than 10 minutes. Shame on pepboys for attempting to upsell me. I reccomend going to probably anywhere but here.

I came in just before closing time needing a brake light fixed, Ernie and Tony got me the part number for the bulb, helped me find it in the store, and then fixed it right up while teaching me how to fix it myself in the future. All done on their own time when they should have been closing down for the night. A+++ service!

You assume that the employees would have at least basic knowledge regarding car parts. I needed a battery Terminal T-Bolt and I asked the gentleman in the back if they carried it. Without even checking to see if he had it in stock he said hed never seen a thing like that in his life and said sorry. Poor customer service and even worse product knowledge.

Friendly. But thats about all unless u have money to spare. The Check Engine light in my car was on so i stopped at PEP BOYs and asked what it might be. The answer. . we have to do a diagnosis. Cost 89 dollars. I went to AUTO ZONE. Took 5 min to diagnose. NO CHARGE. Very very friendly and competent

Took my car for a diagnosis.. on 12 pm, waited to see what was going on. There service was super slow, and returned at 4pm to see what was happening with my car. The front desk, guy was not friendly and could not give a time to see what was happening to my car. He would just say maybe until monday it could be diagnose but did not showed no interest. This place needs more friendly staff and more effecient . I wont come here again.Went next to door to break Masters and they took care of the problem within 20 min with a reasonable price.

I have had the pleasure of working with Bryan and other mechanics from this store twice. The service I received was nothing short of outstanding. I will continue to bring my business to this store because of how well Gus and I have been treated. Everyone from the man inside the store to the mechanics outside showed me kindness, understanding, and reassurance. The first time i was there, we couldnt figure out the issue but the symptoms were taken care of and told me to comeback if it happened again (check engine light was on) and I wasnt charged a dime (every other store i tried before someone suggested pep boys wanted to charge me $100 an hour just to run diagnostics), the second time and 4000 miles later I took it back and now my truck sounds like it just come off the lot and I have these guys to thank. It Says there open til 8 but if its 7, dont waste your time or gas to go. I got there at 7:20 and they told me they couldnt change my tires because they were pretty much already closed. Whats even more messed up is I had called prior to going and they told me they could. I dont live near by so they on purpose just wasted my Gas, time , and I stayed without being able to use my truck. Why advertise your open til 8 if your not( false advertisement)

My go-to for all oil changes and inspections. Guys are super friendly and usually finish fast, wouldnt go anywhere else.

Went to just get a tire repaired, sat out side and watched the mechanic take my wheels off. 1st he dropped it off the car with it on the lift then they went to repair the tire which mind you had at least 50% tread life left and ripped the sidewall and blamed it on the tire being 3yrs old, then tried to sell me a new one..Are you kidding me!!! Nothing was wrong with my tires until your guy dropped it and ripped it. Never again.

I got an alignment done here at Pep Boys and the staff was very friendly, the job was completed in a reasonable amount of time, and my truck is rolling much straighter now.

This is by far the worst Pep Boys I have ever been to. I am standing in line listening to Gabriel brag about how he is only going to take two more customers. So, I find this humors and am curious as to what he will say when it is my turn. I wait about 15 minutes and sure enough, he only took two more customers. So, I left with 90 minutes left on their work clock (9pm) and only three cars in the garage (assume one was being left over for the evening. What a worthless worker. Now that said, if you ever get to Augusta, they are good.

Fastest Ive ever gotten a new tire. Cesar was very friendly and helpful after Id had a very hard time finding someone who had my tire size.

Its sad to say this. Pep boys is closing its doors. Only the Mesa store and Americas store will be open for parts.

They were very rude to me and refused to take accountability for their mistake. They installed the wrong thermostat when they replaced my radiator and as a result, my engine blew a gasket because the thermostat was unable to register the correct temperature. They said that the thermostat was not a direct cause of the gasket and therefore they were not responsible. But really, they were very rude and only spoke politely to me when my husband was around.

Theyll get the job done, but they charge too much. Id recommend going to a repair shop without multiple locations.

El paso TX, Mesa. Horrible service. Many people saying one thing just to find out everyone was wrong. The mechanic replaced a female 4 way plug with a male. When the problem was pointed out it was made to sound like it was my fault. No sympathy No customer service. Wanted to charge me $50 to replace their mistake.... making the total bill around 110 for 5 min of work. Was quoted 25.99 to start. Ended up having a friend fix the problem, he was happy to do the 5 min labor for free. Bad manager. Unqualified staff. Horrible customer service.

The gentleman on the phone I talked to was very polite and respectful. However the service manager (who was too busy to personally answer my question) was definitely ignorant. He told the man whom I spoke with to change a headlight would be 2hrs and $215....call me crazy but I decided that was a load of crock and youtubed how to change it myself. Only took my husband and I 45 mins due to having to drop the bumper.....This place will not be getting any future service.

I have NEVER had a bad experience at Pep Boys. Theyve always taken me out to the garage to show me exactly what the problem is and why it needs to be fixed. After bad experiences with my Hyundai dealership, Pep Boys saved me over $500 on my repairs. Their warranty is amazing. My son regularly causes damage to my car and I always get new alignments and new replacement tires for free... Just have to pay $50 for a new warranty on the replacement tires. They never have taken advantage of me and as a woman in El Paso, the shops tend to try that often. I like that they take the time to show me whats wrong instead of expecting me to take their word for it. Try to keep in mind that people tend to take the time to write a bad review more often than good ones. No company can please everyone but I believe that Pep Boys does their best and have always done a great job for me... On my way there now to get my TPMS sensor replaced and a vehicle inspection. I know Ill be satisfied again with their work.

I just took my 1990 chevy van to get some simple things replaced like a headlight and windshield wipers and for a state inspection..i didnt have an appointment i was just a walk in..the gentleman Abraham who helped me was great, friendly and efficient, he said it would probably be an hour before they would start on my van and it would take about an hour to do the job...they actually started on my van pretty quick, i would say within 10min of waiting outside wondering if i should go eat while i waited..and they actually finished in like 30 min..so it was great i didnt have to wait too long! The guy also told me they replaced another light in the front that i didnt know was out..i felt it was great customer service! Great job on time and fixed what it needed to pass the inspection X) i just moved to the north east so i wasnt sure where to go, i was going to go to brake masters right next door but i saw they had alot of bad reviews (not to bash brake masters) 🤑 but im glad i came here and will definitely come back X)
