Ah, good old Academy.. the right stuff the right price, am I right? 😉😂 I hadnt been in the states to see one in about 6 years...maybe its me living in Europe and things being cheaper, nut it seemed like prices have definitely went up. The staff still congregates in the shoe section like a little cool kids gang.They have a large variety of items and its nice to see firearms still being offered (not a thing in Europe).

Bought a .243 rifle on line at Academy 3 weeks ago. It was delivered and picked up at Academy. I learned then and since that the ammo for the rifle is rarely ever stocked and multiple calls and visits have shown this to be true. An online chat with Academy folks evidenced similar sentiment.I realize that ammo is in short supply but could Academy at least offer a special order reserve for a couple boxes of shells with a new gun?

Ive always liked Academy. Whether Im shopping for clothing, sports equipment or an ice chest they always seem to have what I want and at a decent price. This evening I went to find an OSU ladies long sleeved shirt for the football game and a medium sized ice chest. I found both that I wanted. I not only found the mid sized ice chest I wanted but it was on wheels with a handle. The handle extends out quite far, far enough for someone up to 6ft tall to pull behind them comfortably. The lines were short and the staff were friendly. Ill continue to shop there.

I was finally able to get my hands on some 9mm ammo. I only bought 3 boxes but they still had more left. Its hard to find 9mm ammo anywhere else in OKC.

Store is clean and staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable. This is our go to store for sporting goods and clothes for our son.

Great selection of products. Awesome store but customer service could be improved. No one greeting you and smiling making you feel welcomed. I asked questions in reference to fishing reels and the employee could not give me and answer. He appeared disgruntled.

The store was clean, most everything was well stocked. 90% of employees that I saw were wearing their mask properly (over the nose). I originally went in checking again for ammo. Again, there was none on the shelf. I did browse and find a pair of crocs and flip-flops, so I guess a win. They have a lot of clothing items discounted at 25% off.

Academy always had good deals and supply of name brand shoes. Went to buy entire family sneakers 3/14/21. Prices outrageous, hardly anything on shelves. What is going on? You cant blame it on the pandemic either.

Its pricey. I can find name brand clothing and shoes cheaper at other stores. Good place to go for sports/ hunting equipment !

I have size 13 shoes and it is always hard to find shoes in stock in a store. Academy had 4 pair of the brand I wanted to try on. Very helpful staff as well!

Shoe shopping is becoming nightmare if youre looking for athletic shoes for a full grown size man. I wear anywhere from a 13 to a 15 depending on what brand of shoe Im trying on and sadly they just dont care to carry large sizes and widths and trying to special order something you like is a cluster f. I know retail is rough Ive done it before but for the love of God if youre going to have people in the shoe department have people that know what theyre doing not people from the ammunition aisle that is completely empty filling in for the shoe people who called in sick or have quit or whatever.

Of all the metro area stores this one usually has the most stock on hand. But in this instance there were additional items I had not seen before. Service was fast and efficient too.

I tried using an academy gift card online three separate times and have been enabled to use it online I have to go into the store to use it. Probably went to the store the cashier was on the phone approximately 5 minutes with us standing there in front of them without even acknowledging us until we finally said something sounded like a personal call.

We had gone to buy 10 bags of deer corn, but couldnt find a cart anywhere. We asked two employees where one was/if they could help us find one, when asked, the employees laughed in our face, and offered no further assistance. We bought what we could carry between two people (2 40lb bags). We let the cashier know about what happened, and he seemed very disinterested, and kind of annoyed with us. When we filled out the the survey on the receipt, Don called, and offered to make it right. He was fantastic to talk to and very kind, however, when I called to see if I could come by today after doing farmwork, Don wasnt in, after saying hed be there everyday this week, except yesterday. the manager I spoke to only offered a 5 dollar coupon for 10 bags of deer corn.(8 dollars a bag) Very disappointed in this attempt to Make things right and earn my business back Probably wont be going back, and wouldnt recommend this location if you need help with anything.

4 stars. Not 5. Wifes most recent purchase, carries excessive scratches. Contacting distributor tomorrow. This item cannot be returned by law. Confident it works. Simply unhappy in the area of cosmetics. Wife was disappointed she forgot to properly inspect her new firearm. Placing no blame on ACADEMY, its staff, or S&W...guess the 4 star rating is me pouting. Simply seeking repair. Will post outcome. GDAy!

Can I just move in? I mean you literally have everything one could live off of in here. Although itd be great if we move the clothing section and just put in a giant pond in the middle of the store.

To be honest Ive been frustrated that I look for things that show availability in the store but when I get there I cant find them or they are totally out of stock.

We have been here a few times now shopping and the store is what you would expect to find at an Academy Sports store. The staff have been helpful and they have always had great inventory of what we have wanted.

They have so many options of so many things!

Mostly kids working all stations, they are are reasonably well but not too organized. They do not enforce their own mask policy. So many people without masks.

Prices high on most everything, no adult watches except fit bit/Garmin sports watches...did snag a deal on little kids life jackets for $15...

Academy always surprises me with their prices and item selection. Their shoes selection and pricing is hard to beat. We always find what we are looking for here and even several things that we werent looking for.

Good service need to. Sale more name brand shoes . Always answers my ?s and takes me and recomends what i should use and buy . One of the men that works there knows my cousins . Yall do need to re stock and keep up and get more tackle and start saleing what Bass pro sales as to tackle .And have pros come into yalls store and give Seminars . And free tackle

Always super nice staff. You can carry concealed or openly as long as its legally allowed. For a place that sells ammo, thats pretty awesome. And they have any kind of toys big boys like. I considered 4☆ because theyre a bit too pricey. Compared to Amazon, theyre like 20-30% higher. But if I come in here, its because I want something in-hand now and Im willing to pay extra so it fits for everything I need. Only place better for me is Attwoods!!!! Thats a big boys Toys R Us.

Its the Walmart of sports and outdoors store except that Walmart has a sports and outdoors section. so idk why this place even exist at all. 2 star.

They have no stock. I went in to buy a set of golf club grips they did not have an assortment. I also wanted to look at Iron sets they do not have them any more. I w o kid not recommend any to go to Academy. Walked around the store and same way

I used to think academy was expensive. I still do, but I used to too. Still, if you have a good eye you can find some sweet deals here. I got a 2 dollar backpack.

Clean. Helpful once you ask. Friendly nice people. They had what I needed, loaded it in my cart then in.my car. I will shop here again for my camping needs.

Nice selection on clothes

I prefer this over some larger retailers. They have a good selection and good pricing. An older gentleman who worked there set my phone up to be able to order online when they dont have an item in stock. Very easy when your size isnt in store.

Firearms section cleaned out had nothing I needed, went to Wilshire Gun and got what I needed.

This place is a JOKE! Worst management ever. All this manager could say to me is “hey it’s retail” How about do your job! If you cannot find an order, it’s simple customer service, CALL THE CUSTOMER and let them know. Never dealt with this place before and will NEVER again, icing on the cake is being hung up on when she couldn’t explain herself.

The manager Jamie, is a rude and greedy person. I was Trying to buy from this store but she just yelled across the store instead of giving the curtesy of a human being. She then wouldn’t take the time at all to come talk to me even though I was still trying to buy even a display model at this point. So I will never be shopping here again. Sorry I ever spent any money at all in this store to begin with!

I really like the large assortment of products that academy offers at fair prices. The staff is usually reasonably accomodative.
