This shop is Awesome !!! I want to say something, I truly appreciated what this shop did for me and my car. Mohamed was especially patient and communicated with me. Not once did he let the fact that I was deaf allow him to miss an opportunity to please a customer. The prices were very reasonable. He did not try to sellMe anything I did not need. I really appreciated it. I definitely will refer anyone and I do mean anyone to Mohamed Standard Auto Care without any hesitation !!My car is running really well. Mohamed and his team at Standard Car Care are wonderful. They do a great job in a timely manner. They have good prices and don’t try to surprise you in any way. I’ve been going here for years and will continue to do so. I have been a customer for more than 20 years. Tom, Muhammad and company always take care of me. They get to the bottom of any problem and get you on your way. I highly recommend.

I dropped off my car the night before to do an inspection. I needed to get some work done which I agreed to do. Tom was very helpful and friendly. I get a phone call the next day at 5pm from Mohammed saying that I also needed to get my brakes changed immediately. I said I would call back to see what my options were. I get another phone call back 20 minutes later saying that I need to make a decision because the shop is closing and they are waiting for me to leave. Why am I getting this phone call so late with the added pressure of making a quick decision? My car was there overnight. I said that I would pick it up and skip getting the brakes not that it was an option since it is now Saturday evening by this point.When I went to go pick up my car. There were used paper towels left in my car and the oil change sticker was not on the window. My masks that I had in the front of my car were thrown in the back. Was that necessary? When I spoke to Tom about getting this fixed an employee went to put a new sticker on. The employee that fixed the sticker I noticed did not wear a mask every time I went there. Its his choice and his right which I can respect. Why wasnt my property, time and consideration not being respected? I hope the masks being thrown was just an odd coincidence but it did not help at all.It was just such an overall really unpleasant experience.

Car is 12 years old, like all older cars needs they need maintenance but Mohammed put it back to running new at very reasonable price even with the amount of work that was needed. Great job

Been using Standard Car Care in East Meadow for more than 7 years now.As a closet weekend warrior restoration mechanic and retired Electro/Mechanical engineer, I am very attuned to detail and precise repairs of all my cars.Mohammad and the staff never fails to impress, especially when it comes to diagnosing a problem, making the correct repair and standing behind there work on all my cars.Most recently, SCC diagnosed a front end Strut problem that was installed by Goodyear while getting tires. Goodyear was unable to truly diagnose and duplicate the front end noise (clunking) the strut was makings and was unable to make repairs after attempting to replace the strut twice.SCC found the problem in a reasonably short period of time, and made the repair. The front end is now good as new now !I trust using Standard Care Care of East Meadow for all my car servicing issues and repairs. Kudos!

Very impressed with the timely service. I’m from Georgia, up here for family. My brother recommends me to Mohammad, his mechanic for over three years. Mohammad is such a good person, he brings me to dunkin donuts with him and buys my coffee while my car is worked on. We get back and the car is done! Easiest experience I’ve had at a shop. Can’t say the same for my own shop back home.

Not just the run of the mill auto shop! The owner, Mo, really takes care of his customers. Bought my truck, that they had refurbished, from here. Its practically brand new and got it at a great price. I now come here for all my service needs.

The guys here are great, Tom is a very nice man as well as his son. They do honest work and I bring all my cars and kids cars here. I was a little skeptical when they took it over from former owner Gene and his little weasel manager Timmy who thought he was getting over on me by telling me; after years of coming there since 2004 when we moved to North Bellmore, that I needed a light switch for the interior light for my sons 92 Chevy Lumina that was a dealer item and it would cost several hundred dollars, then I told him for that much money the kid could live without an interior light, needless to say someone from my job recommended another shop(Gus @ mobil on front street in East Meadow)who in doing some other work checked out the light and it was a burnt-out fuse and they didnt charge us for that! Well I guess I know why Timmy no longer works at STD and I would gladly show the punk my displeasure with his attempted ripoff off me if given the opportunity!!!PS in relation to this review with the Lumina at Gus I was getting a brake job all around including 4 new rotors, calipers and pads reasonable at from what I remember was about $500 and I remembered later to call back and ask for new brake hoses to add because thats is always recommended when doing new calipers when I went to pay for the work the manager for Gus (dont recall his name) but he charged $60 for each brake hose $240 additional(I have some culpability here since I didnt ask cost) and I was irate since I knew these were not that expensive; since I worked in the industry prior, and voiced my displeasure with Gus himself and I asked him what brand and I promptly checked on rock auto and exactly what I thought my cost(they probably pay somewhere around $5-6)was $9 ea. and up course there is markup, but there excuse for markup is labor! Labor? In case you arent familiar one of the reasons for replacing the brake hoses when you do calipers is you have to disconnect one side of the hose to replace said caliper and the other side just requires unscrewing with a line wrench, about 30 seconds and another 30 seconds to unscrew the brake hose from the frame, Labor? More realistic would have been another $100 bucks for all 4 hoses, but they werent hearing it and I said fine lose a customer and moral of the story is always ask questions and do research even if youve been going to the mechanic for a long time because some will take advantage of your trust, thus the reason I gave STD my business again after getting rid of Timmy!

Prices are very reasonable and besides it comes with the peace of mind that all issues and risks are clearly explained by the service advisor Mohamad without force or demand to go ahead with repairs. Very honest and hard-working people.

I have been coming to this workshop for years, great service...I have never had any bad experience, I sell cars for living all my cars are brought here by my guys. Great service guys keep it up. I actually had one incident where I thought I needed oil change and new tires but they actually gave me there honest opinion n said my tires are still good and I can keep the same tires for at least another 6 months. very helpful

Reliable repair service, I am a mechanic my self without a garage or bay however now I have a child with less time to do big jobs myself and had my car serviced here and found their quality to my liking. Mohammed and the guys are awesome! Ive been a customer for years. Just yesterday, I had to call him at 4:00 on a Friday because something was wrong with the gear shift on my wifes car. It was undrivable. Mohammed came to my house, checked it out, took it himself back to the shop, found the part after shop hours so that we could get the car fixed Saturday. We had it back in a day instead of what could have been 3 or 4 because of the weekend. We would have been in a major bind. These guys have earned my business time and time again!

The gentlemen at the front desk was quick to assist me when I needed a NYS inspection and photos taken for my insurance. Although there was a wuick mix-up with the photos, he had me on my way within 10 minutes and made sure I was satisfied. Would absolutely come back. Recommended!

Not so honest. Went for just a NYS Inspection and was told it needed brakes, which I knew it didn’t, for $200 so I left. Took to another shop they checked brakes and were fine left that shop with current NYS Inspection. Sad, brought my cars there for a few years but not anymore. Maybe Tom needs to be there more, never would have been an issue with him.

My was serviced perfectly and within the promised time. Their prices are awesome.
