Very Professional and courteous to me. Pleasant and Helpful. I love the store. No Complaints. They always help me and assist me with Chart, Groceries, or whatever I need. The Big Y on St. James cannot compare to the one in Longmeadow MA. It is NOT Professional and very UGLY attitudes. Will NOT go again. I have tried them several times, NO MORE.

I was quite happy with everything I saw.The store was very busy, and appeared to be functioning very smoothly, with employees all over the place taking care of everything.The produce selection was outstanding, and I like that they sell locally grown.The various floral bouquets were a much larger selection than I expected, with many different price ranges, and everything looked very freshly cut.I was actually looking for a standalone florist but ran out of time, come to find out I didnt need one. 🙂Im wondering if you might consider providing those little floral packets without the store name on them. Although I have no problem recommending you, Id rather let them guess at the price I paid. 😜

Sandwich was made horribly like look at that. the person making it didn’t even close the sandwich when they wrapped it in the paper? then when i’m eating it i bite into something hard that seemed like rubber it was gross had to spit it out. basically i don’t recommend just go to subway it’ll probably be better

Fresh prepared foods, good bakery selection and produce. Excellent butcher and seafood. Great fried seafood. A bit overpriced, so shop elsewhere for basic grocery items.

It was pretty good overall. I did see that vegan teacher but other than that i had a pleasant experience.

Big Y world class markets always have fresh produce, good sales and courteous staff. If you have a problem that can not be solved by a store manager, If you email corporate, they will resolve your issue.

I brought my adult son with autism in this store and as he was asking for help from one of the employees. And this girl named Lindsey was absolutely rude and mean to him. He was friendly and she looked at him with disgust. This has happened before with other employees. Not sure what is so difficult with being kind and considerate. Even if one is uncomfortable, should still be kind

On my shopping day I found wonderful bargains.Ive shopped at several Big Y World Markets from East longmeadow, Agawam and Springfield I find they all are special in there own unique way. Each has a little difference of an identity that give each its own special welcoming quality.

Friendly staff, good prices on the things I like, well managed store.

The bag charge is ridiculous but selection is convenient and wide. And stores are located in numerous areas leaving it easy to access

I like BigY due to the variety of items and freshness/quality, but it isnt the cheapest place around. Also, they have a habit of doing things where you buy one, get one, or two free, and what they do is just make it so the price is 2 or 3 times the regular price so it just sounds better and people will buy it thinking they got a great deal, but youre really paying full price. This is a deceptive business tactic that I will never get behind. Im sure it does wonderful for their pockets though. Just go there and get what you need, but most of the sales are bogus.

Love shopping here! Always clean the freshest veggies and fruit. Staff is very nice and helpful. You can get your groceries and get delicious hot food to go.

My family loves Big Y. Its been our go to grocery store my entire life. Whenever we have to go to another store chain it doesnt feel like we are getting the quality items or experience we have grown to love Big Y. The butcher manager was incredibly helpful with key cuts we were looking for this past holiday. Dan was eager to make suggestions and provided options for my meal plan but also offer up cooking instructions to help us individuals with more modest culinary skills. When you add in the newer Table and Vine section with an impressively enormous selection, it makes it a no brainier and an incredibly convenient one stop grocery/package store combo. Plus hard to find a better prepared (grab and go option) outside of the Big Y Fresh Acres location but the Wilbraham location is bridging that gap.

Finally found lemongrass here! Love the variety of vegetarian, vegan, organic, gluten-free, etc available.

Love it! Especially Sushi Wednesdays. 5 dollars Sushi.

Rude AF.... Produce today, Looking at the asparagus and the label to see where its from since they are about buying local. The produce person said LOUDLY without me asking Its from New Jersey!!! I said, Oh, How about from Hadley? To which he replied, Hadley cant produce enough for 70 stores.... Well they can produce enough for 10 local stores or even 15 in the area... I wasnt soliciting his advice or feedback to begin with...

To many self check out not given elderly or disable people having to self check out as regular lines are very long sometimes.

Always a pleasant visit. Very friendly employees. Appreciate the Sr. shopping time in the morning. Only suggestion would be that the fresh seafood dept. be stocked when the store opens. It takes too long to get waited with only 1 person working that dept. and having to wait for him to go in the back to get anything you might want to purchase. Often end up not bothering to get my seafood there due to that situation. Would be 5 stars if that could be corrected.

Been going to Big Y since I was a kid... long time ago. It always clean and shelves are well stocked. Preferred over most large super markets. Fresh food daily.

Ive never had any problems here besides the occasional extra crowded shopping trip. Also, their response to COVID-19 has been fairly thorough and responsible.

This place used to put a lot of emphasis on customer service, but lately that has gone down hill.I was at the self-checkout line today (which doesnt even require much customer service at all) and I asked for a bag to put my things in because there werent any in the bin.The employee went to get the bag. Instead of holding up the line, I decided to put everything in my arms waiting for her to return. She came back with a paper bag and obviously saw that I didnt have any hands to open the bag with and put my items in.I asked her to open the bag for me. She just shoved it up to my face. I had to ask again in a more forceful way as I was getting annoyed. It was then she finally opened the bag for me to place my things in. I shouldnt even have had to ask once, never mind twice. Its just basic customer service skills.

The ratings had nothing to do with waiting in line or items not be able ng in the shelf. This east longmeadow big y is pretty good about keeping items on the shelf. The issue with todays visit w a s the unfortunate comment made by the cashier as my wife and I approached the belt to place our items.

I do love this store. The people who work in the cold cut and seafood department are really nice and down to earth. The seafood Dept is so clean you never smellany raw fish unlike other stores. There’s a couple things that the store could tweak up is the fried chicken area, the staff always seems to forget to label the bags or the chicken how are you suppose to go the register without a tag to scan the item? And when you ask them there is a young lady with dark hair who gives you an attitude. Also in the butcher Dept there’s an older man with glasses who could adjust his attitude more on the friendly side or perhaps maybe work in a different department where he doesn’t have to interact with customers. I had asked for two pieces of fillet exact same size and center cut, he tells me oh they’re both center cut no they’re not because end pieces are always going to be uneven in cut. their not the same size, end cut is higher then center cut. And he was extremely rude about it. Then I asked him to please trim the fat, filets are supposed to be lean no fat. He grabbed those pieces of Meat and threw them down on the counter and trimmed the fat. I didn’t even want to take them but with his attitude he probably would’ve thrown a knife at me next. I was completely horrified. I’m not sure if I will ever go back to the butcher again at Big Y.

Friendly staff, especially the two who were working behind the sushi counter. I go there most Wednesday’s for the $5 Poke bowls. Today there weren’t any more out and they made 4 totally fresh ones while I walked around, and had them waiting for me when I got back. They are always SO nice whenever I talk to them :)

Awesome place. Always fresh fruit. Fresh meat and seafood. Just a clean place overall. You may expect to pay higher prices for similar items you can get cheaper elsewhere, such as tuna fish cans, oatmeal, eggs, etc. However, the things other stores dont offer, this place does at a reasonable price. The bakery is delicious (Seriously.. Try it.) They have a pizza shoppe and deli! Always check the circular for their deals and youll make out good.

I love Big Y but had to wait 15 minutes in line today picking up a hot pizza in the East Longmeadow store. It was just about cold by the time I got home (a 5 minute ride). They should check you out at the kitchen so you can leave with your hot food.

Bought a 30in grinder sandwich today and it wasn’t to my liking. For a very well known grocery shop I expected more.

I sometimes shop here but will not anymore. I really like Big Y, support local produce etc however my neighbor (a R.N.) was shopping in this store on Mothers Day when her phone was stolen from her trolley. She knew who did it and confronted the thief. Despite the store manager been at the scene, they refused to call the police. In solidarity with my neighbor I will no longer shop at this store. If the manager wants to put a thief before a front line worker then my money will be spent elsewhere.

Not enough registers open. Very frustrating that you cant put a phone number in for savings at self checkout. Definitely NOT my favorite BigY

Love this Big Y. It is one of the cleanest I have been in. The shelves were stocked where others big y shelves were empty. Will be back there again.

Hello, I Went With My Mom To Pick Up Some Groceries And Decided To Get A Large Pizza For My Son. I Placed The Order With The Shorter Of The 2 Gentlemen At The Counter (My Apologies I Didnt Get A Name) And He Asked Me To Come Back In 15 Minutes. We Paid For Our Groceries, The Cashier Was Great! Always Friendly!! After Placing The Groceries In The Car I Went Back In To Pay For The Pizza I Ordered. Unfortunately, The Order Was Never Made. The Taller Gentleman Asked The Gentleman Above Where My Order Was, They Both Just Looked At Each Other And I Had To Ask Was My Order Made? It Wasnt. They Offered To Make It Then But Didnt Apologize. The One That Took The Order Had The Nerve To Say (When I Walked Away, That He Didnt Take The Order) Trying To Blame The Second Gentleman Or Claiming I Never Placed The Order? Not Sure. I Didnt Call Back To Confirm That I Did Indeed Place My Order With Him. This Doesnt Change My Overall View Of Big Y But Just Left Me Feeling Very Dis Heartened Today.Lissette

The sea food and produce is always fresh and visibly appealing. The selection of other food is good as well. My best experience here is always with the butcher shop. The young gentleman named Kamar who works there is top notch, I always see him, and he is always going above and beyond. Hell get you fresh meat from the back if the stuff in the case has been sitting too long and never has an issue customizing shelf items for you. (I.e. if you want boneless skin on chicken breast, hell butcher off the rib meat and re pack it ) hes fast, efficient, and friendly. Im surprised hes not running that department.

This is a spacious and clean grocery store with a great variety of food and servises. They have a fantastic pizza shop, sandwich and grinder shop, and a take out seafood shop with wonderful dish and chips. The butchers in the meat department will sharpen your knives for free.Although the store is usually quite busy, there are many check outs. Unfortunately, there are no self service lines.The prices on many items are a bit more expensive than the grocery across the street, but overall, the pricing at big y is competitive.

Easy access, plenty of parking, very clean store: great produce, plenty of selection throughout the store.

The store is well stocked and always clean whenever I go there.

I shop here regularly I almost always have positive experiences with staff/management. I recommend asking for a manager or supervisor for returns/exchanges/ other issues. They are always professional and helpful however in my experience go right to the management to ensure positive professional results.

Always a pleasant experience when I stop at this location customer service employees always go over and Beyond clean has a variety of Natural Foods in organic that is becoming parking is a little tight but other than that its a great location

A good place to buy a variety of food products. They also have a good selection of freshly cooked meals which I like. excellent collection of fresh vegetables and fruits. Weekends can be a bit crowded and there might be a long waiting time at the cash counter. Would recommend this place to everyone.

I have been a customer here since Amys was next door. Every time I go I can always find what I need and even if I have to ask an associate for help! I am amazed at the renovation and how much more they now offer. From fresh house made sushi, to fresh baked goods from the bakery and Ive fallen in love with their fresh seafood and butcher shop options I cant get enough! Local produce is a big plus in supporting the community as well as a wide variety of diet options for those that need it. I prefer going here over any other market in the area (except local farmers markets of course). Cannot say anything bad about them at all!

Best grocery chain in New England. The have some of the Best produce outside of our local Farmers Market. They also carry a wide selection of Organic groceries, fresh fish and meat and ethnic foods from New England and the world!

They had a couple of good flash sales!

What can I say you can go in there and get a fresh sandwich made or a hot slice of pizza, or do shopping and have everything for your home that you need. I especially like the meat department as Im a steak guy and the butchers always turn you on to the right cut of meat if you ask them and the seafood is pretty Killer 2

Clean store, great selection, free Wifi, and accessible by bus. Items tend to be a bit more expensive than most other grocery stores when not on sale. A note for Springfield residents or anyone outside East Longmeadow: they no longer have plastic bags for your groceries in accordance to city law, so bring reusable bags or buy paper bags for $0.10 each.

Very good selection and helpful staff but prices could be better. The chains dependence upon a bonus coin system is a little inconvenient. Lower prices for loyalty card holders could be made much simpler.

I like the store set up-not too big but big enough-its pleasant and great background music. The reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because of the limited organic options which I always look for. I also love the 10% senior discount. If you have to be old you might as well take advantage of It!

Prices are thru the roof. Even on their buy 1 get 2 free. Check the price of first one. Its usually triple that of the store across the street. Hint your not getting anything free. Nothing in life is free btw.
