Free diagnostic of my check engine light. The worker was upfront and honest that it could be a number of other issues, so not to buy the part that the code suggested thinking it would guarantee a fix. This type of honesty, where they do whats best for me instead of just their bottom line, is what makes a lifetime customer out of someone. Great job guys!

Yesterday aug 21st and today aug 22 I called Autozone to have a issue corrected not only did the business account manager correct the problem she did it with true professionalism and then when I called this morning the 22nd and an employee named Amber answered the phone and was a real delight she spoke with care and made the call one of the best Ive received from a business in this area. To the Head manager who enjoys Starw Wars like myself please know the force is strong with your team. Each time Ive needed parts and materials over the past few years, this has been the place for service! I have not had a bad experience getting assistance from the associates, and I sincerely hope I didnt just jinx myself (knock on wood)!The store is always CLEAN, someone has always been available to run an electronic diagnostic or battery or alternator test if I needed one, and they havent failed to help find a part or expedite its delivery of they didnt have one in stock at that moment.To be frank, I have found myself looking for little things and issues with our vehicles just to look for an opportunity to visit the store. I know that sounds silly or over the top, but its sincere. It isnt often you find a location where you enjoy talking to the associates and staff, and you feel confident that theyre able to point you in the right direction.This Auto Zone in East Lansing certainly has learned to maintain friendly consumer relations and I believe that kind of behavior is spread from the top down. As long as the management continues to promote positive attitudes and a natural eagerness to help, then this will continue to be my first choice for help, guidance, and parts.Thanks for reading 👍

Got false information over the phone from Becky who said they had my part (license plate screws of a certain size) in stock. Arrived there within an hour, didnt have them. I wont be going back or recommending this store.

Noah was wonderful. He checked my battery and my check engine light then replaced the battery for me!! Definitely recommend his Autozone because of him!!!!!

Today was my 3rd visit to the Okemos Auto Zone and high time I left a review. I have consistently received excellent service and advice. At this visit Chris checked my battery and confirmed it was not charging then swapped it for a new one as mine was still under warranty. Trent came out a few minutes later and professionally installed the new battery. The store was very busy but both men were calm and very pleasant. I highly recommend this store!

Absolutely superb customer service. I was in the store today, December 22, and received great service from start to finish to purchase a battery for our generator. The sales associate made sure I was getting the right product. He unloaded my old battery and loaded the new one in my vehicle for me. We needed to update rewards information, and he was more than happy to do so. It was a great experience, and we will be back to that location the next time we need something!!

My go to auto parts store for over a decade!

Was driving across state and my alternator went bad. Limped my way into this AutoZone and was hands down the best service Ive ever received. They tested my alternator and it failed, they then sent a person to another store to get the part for me since I wasnt going anywhere. Recharged the battery while I waited and gave my dog my always copilot water since it was hot outside best. Service ever totally makes AutoZone my number one parts store.

Was having trouble starting my car several days in a row. Stopped here for a battery and alternator check up. Store clerk comes out does the check up say alternator Is fine and battery operating @ 100%. I now assume it must be the starter. I then go to an auto repair shop. They diagnose it as a dead battery. Feeling stuck I buy a battery and of course end up paying the long price because of the incompetence of the Auto Zone employee. All I wanted was a correct diagnosis and Auto Zone failed me and lost a sale and an any future diagnosis and purchases will go to the competition. After a week of the new battery all is well starts first time every time.

I needed my battery checked and then exchanged. They were very helpful and gave me the best advice and best service. I was able to exchange my battery in about 15 minutes. Very friendly too. Recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely be back!

When I entered there was three people just talking to each other I had to ask for help more then once and even when someone finally came he was not being nice a little moody. Then when I was trying to check out I was standing for awhile no one was coming to help me check out after sometime I just left because non of the workers cared enough to help me check out. It’s sad to see bad service like this. Hope something can be done so others don’t have to go through that.

Decent prices, but make sure you have year make and model. If you need say a ujoint matched up for the pto off your tractor go to a real parts store like NAPA that can look stuff up by size to match up the part you need. Autozone doesnt have the ability to do a simple thing like that.

The employee at this location was Awesome! He was engaging, friendly, and very knowledgeable about store product. Efficient in locating the product and getting the customer out.Im a firm believer in customer service. That involves acknowlideging the customer when they enter through the front door and ensuring that they find the product, if not, direct them to another AutoZone store.Awesome dude!

All employees that I could see were not wearing masks (6/5/20, 12:00 pm) When I asked one (from the doorway) , do you employees not wear masks?, and he responded, no I will not! I left and went to Advanced Auto Parts just down Grand River. All their employees had masks. They had shields at the cash registers. I spent my money there and will even after the pandemic passes.

Its the team that makes the difference and this team is really helpful.

My daughter is a MSU college student and came to this store because her battery light was on. Now during these times where people not working, they tell her she needs a new battery, and basically they couldnt test her alternator until she bought a new battery. No student discount, no nothing! My daughter buys a new battery just to find out the alternators needs replacing. This store is not trying to help these college students they are getting over. 5 stars isnt enough!Had to do an emergency repair in their parking lot, and they had most of the parts I needed, let me test-fit to find the right ones and sent me up the road to a competitor to get the part they didnt have.Even let me use their bathroom to wash up.

My battery had gone dead and I had to call road service get me rolling again. They suggested that I have my battery checked at Auto Zone. Auto Zone was most helpful, checked my battery, 100%, no charge, and I was back on the road. In the past, Auto Zone has installed wind shield wipers for me after a purchase and even given me auto advice with no fee. Auto Zone is my first choice now for auto issues. And theyre right in my neighborhood!

After they tried and failed to replace my battery - shorting it out during the process - they tried to jump my car with a car that was off. Completely incompetent!

A very helpful lady at the front counter helped me search for a rare part. They didnt have it but she told me that they could get it. I need it asap so I had to go out of town to get it, but they definitely went over and above to help me out.

Ive had great experiences at this location (and their other locations). While the knowledge of the employee is variable the service and attitude is consistent. The same cant be said for Advanced Auto Parts down the street. Thank you to whomever in the corporate office valued customer experience, it makes a difference. Ill be back.

Very helpful staffs, they let me borrow their tools to exchange headlight bulb right front of their building and even I brought wrong bulb they exchanged to correct bulb without problem. Theyre knowledgeable and super friendly. Outstanding services ever I have for long time.

My vehicle was being worked on by a mechanic and auto zone was a place to browse while I was waiting. Their staff is very friendly and very helpful! They gave me recommendations and helped me trouble shoot what could be the problem with my vehicle. Very helpful!

My car knowledge is emasculatingly dismal. I have no idea what Im doing. Wake up one day, battery is dead, got a jump, and headed here. Told the dude at the counter what was up, and he proceeded to replace my battery, for me. Granted it was pretty awkward standing there for 45 minutes while the rusted battery holder bolts put up a fight, that dude was my hero for the day. Not all heroes wear capes, and some of them work at AutoZone.

This has to be one of the worst parts stores I have ever been in and I REPAIR all my own vehicles and have been to MANY parts stores. I needed wipers for my car one morning on the way to work and stopped here in a hurry. No customers in the store and 5 workers behind the counter. I literally waited 5 minutes and was never asked if I could be helped I left and went across the road to car quest and was in and out with my wipers in under 5 minutes. They even offered to install them for me. I gave AutoZone the benefit of the doubt and tried there one more time and was greeted with the same non existent customer service. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS AUTOZONE EVEN IF THEY WERE GIVING AWAY PARTS!!! I love AutoZone and have never had a negative experience in any of there stores until this one and unfortunately this is the only one close to my house and because of this Oreillys & Car Quest have now been getting my business and will continue to until new help or a new store is opened close to me.
