They charge you Fee just to give an Estimate!!!!! (Hidden Fee)They seem nice upfront to but Beware of (Undisclosed) Hidden Fee to diagnose your vehicle. If you dont do the They charge a $185 Hidden Fee if you try to take it elsewhere.

Feb 3 2021:Friendly good work after test driving the car runs much better. I was short on the bill they were able to get me approved for a loan and my credit isnt the best, so I was happy about that. I recommend this place.Update 4/30/21: after i was shown why it was leaking they fixed it with out hesitation and was very professional and courteous and told me my next step and pointed me in the right direction as my car had multiple issues. They definitely know what they are doing and AND NOW my car rides like new better than when I bought it. I still recommend this place. 🤓

Great shop, in and out with 3 used tires in less than 30 minutes, and only cost me $90. They let me check the tires out first to make sure they had good tread, all looked almost new. Very friendly place, I would send my own mother here. Thanks for the job well done!

I had neglected the Engine servicing on my Jeep Cherokee. This business replaced my Engine and you could not even tell they replaced an Engine in my car.The performance now is better then when I first purchased my Jeep six years ago. They took excellent care of my vehicle not one scratch or ding to the exterior. Gregg & Peter definitely are great at restoration work.

I have been taking my car since last year when another auto repair shop said my problem was something they didn’t handle & recommended AAMCO-went there & they found the problem, which wasn’t want the other shop stated. Not only did they fix that problem but also advised me I was using the wrong gas & oil change had to be synthetic

They changed the Transmission and gave me a 3-year warranty. After 1 year, the transmisson started to have problems. When I go again, they told me to change the engine, I dont have a problem with the engine. The problem was in Transmision, the warranty is a lie. I changed the Transmision again in another place, my car is back to normal...

I was told I needed a new transmission by the auto dealer I bought the car from, was referred to them by a friend, and what would have cost me thousands of dollars, only cost me 600 worth of repairs. I have had great experiences with AAMCO they have done work on my sons car and gone out of the way to help with diagnosis of what was wrong and communicating what needed to be done and knowing the best and most cost efficient way to fix the vehicle. I have used their service multiple times and have had quality work performed. All the employees are very nice and really take the time to listen and help. Its really a great place you can go and have work done to your vehicle with confidence that they care about you and the service they provide.

I had service to my car done by them in order to fix the heat issues within my Hyundai Accent. From start to finish, some of the best professional service I’ve ever received. Went in for a simple oil change a few months ago and none of the employees inside were wearing masks. When one of them called me in I asked him to put on a mask and then he disappeared for 5 minutes to find one. They have signs telling people to wear masks on the front of their office doors but then they don’t wear them. I felt it was a lack of consideration for others. He seemed surprised that I asked him to get one and told me he had COVID already. Can’t say I’m shocked. Won’t go back for this reason. Shows poor judgment and I don’t want someone with poor judgment working on my car.

I took my car to many different mechanics they could not figure out what was wrong with my transmission. Peter and his guys were the only ones to figure it out. They were very professional. Communicated very well everything that need to be done and repaired it in a timely fashion. They are great! Definitely my go to guys now!

I brought to work trucks in and one was totally repaired the second one unfortunately due to my companies leasing insurance policy was not worth the repair but they were on top of everything!!! This business is great. I took my 2018 Chevy Express 2500 Cargo Van to the dealership twice complaining of a problem and they repeatedly told me that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. When I first saw the reviews, 5/5, I thought it was too good to be true. Well, it wasnt. I want to take this opportunity to thank Manager Pete, J.R. and all the staff at AAMCO Transmission on Route 18, East Brunswick for the excellent service provided to me for my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was initially told by another service center that my transmission and rear differential were shot, and needed replacement at the cost of $6-7,000 Needless to say, I almost fell over. I went to AAMCO for a second opinion and spoke with the Manager Pete. Pete brought the car into the shop immediately for assessment. After complete evaluation, Pete explained I did not need a new transmission, just a front differential bushing, but the rear differential did need replacement. Being on the time crunch, with only 4 days to spare, Pete and J.R. worked feverishly to get the parts needed to repair the problems in order to meet my deadline, and they did just that. When I drove my car out of AAMCO post repair, it rode like a dream; no clunking in the transmission and no whining from the rear diff. It felt like a brand new car, and at less then half the cost of my original quote. I cant thank Pete, J.R. and the staff enough for their excellent service and getting my car in and out in time, and even with time to spare. My sincerest Thank You!! Maggie

Ive been coming to this AAMCO shop for my auto repairs for many years. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and do excellent work and Peter, the owner is always very helpful, reliable and honest. I highly recommend them.

I was having some transmission stuttering issues at low speed. My car is an 06 with less than 60k miles. Being the 3rd owner of it and not knowing the full maintenance histoey I figured a transmission fluid flush would be the cheapest way to try and fix the issue.I mentioned the trouble to Peter after I paid and he made a note that if the trouble continued the cost of the flush would be discounted from any related future work. That gave me confidence the shop wasnt out to score a quick dollar.My only minor complaint was that it took a lot longer than I expected (almost 3 hours if remembering correctly). I was able to walk down to the mall, have a bagel and coffee, walk back and still had to wait a bit before my car was ready.

I have been taking my cars to AAMCO in East Brunswick since it opened. I have always found the service to be very accurate, affordable and my repairs are done right. The staff is very nice. They explain the issues with my car in a clear, understandable fashion so I know I am making good, well informed decisions.Most recently my car was making a weird noise when turning. I was pretty certain it was the bearings and the repair was going to be expensive. AAMCO identified the issues as an adjustment to my brakes. Boy was I relieved.I highly recommend AAMCO, especially the East Brunswick AAMCO to anyone needing any type of car service.

The people there tired taking advantage of my dad and tried to charge him 800 dollars to change the water pump for my car. They said the part cost 160 dollars and that it was going to take 4 hours to do. They wanted to charge 150 dollars an hour. I went on amazon and found that the water pump and time belt was 46 dollars and at pep-boys it was 62 dollars. I bought the part and did it at pep-boys which took them 30 minutes to do and charged me 75 dollars an hour compared to the 150 an hour that aamco was going to charge me. Be careful when dealing with them because they will over charge you and try to take advantage of you. I also had a coupon from pep-boys. All in all, I paid 130 for the whole thing compared to the 800 that they tired to charge me. Worst service center ever. Dont go there.

I always struggle to find a reliable, trustworthy car repair place. I recently took my Sienna mini van there for service and I could not be any more satisfied. The staff was extremely pleasant and informative. Not only were they able to help turn my check engine light off, they also found a few other problems that they fixed for a very reasonable price. They called me first to explain what the issues were, and we discussed which ones deserved immediate attention. There was NO pushy sales pitch to repair anything. I will definitely be returning here.

I had worked with Mike to get an estimate for new brake pads +rotors and new battery for my car, as I had been advised by the dealership to replace the pads and resurface the rotors. Knowing what I know, you dont resurface rotors, as youll end up replacing them anyway. But its Hondas way of making you pay twice for the same issue. Honda service had noted that my brake pads were at 4mm and needed to be replaced, soon.After shopping around, I circled back to Mike, as the impression I got from him early on was that he genuinely wanted to help me find the right solution without spending an asinine amount of money. He said I had options to get the best of everything, but it may not be needed for my daily driver CRV.I brought my car into the shop and thats when I got a call from Mike. I knew that this place is not out to hustle or deceit people. Mike told me that he could not, in good conscience, replace my brake pads and take my money. There were 7 mm, left on the pads and I could continue to use them for another 10 to 15K miles before I start considering to replace them.I will no longer bring my car to Honda for any servicing, as theyre just crooks. These guys in Aamco of East Brunswick are here to earn your business and trust, not to swindle you out of something you dont need. While these guys are still under the Aamco umbrella, its still owned and operated by a franchisee. And Im happy to support this local business.Thank you guys for your honesty and speedy work!! I didnt have credit and so I needed to get a loan to them to fix my transmission and there bad returning phone calls and also how they use loan sharks that you a 190 pc interest rate I am alone so for 1500 get to pay almost $1,600 back in interest thats not being fair in business to people in I just getting your credit built back. I I didnt hear from the owner after posting this and was informed by the owner of that business never to come back again this is how he conducts business and I wouldnt recommend anybody to go

Owner Peter is SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! Over a year and I am still waiting for him to conduct his business right, and FIX HIS OUTRAGEOUS “ mistake” and wrong doings!!! I am COMPLETELY UNSATISFIED with how his wrong doings haven’t been fixed and the amount of energy and time I continuously waste on the matter!!! Bob and Peter were great in helping me with my car. I had an issue with my oil pan and Bob went over what needed to be done and explained the cost breakdown to me. I got estimates for the job from other places and their price matched what local competitors were charging for the same job. I will definitely be coming here frim now on for all work that will be done to my cars, their honesty and customer service has won me over. Be aware that they get a lot of business and work on a lot cars, it may not have been the quickest job but Im very satisfied with the quality of the job done.
