Went before 10am. Got in and out with no issues. Breanna assisted me and she was super helpful and efficient.

The bagging service was efficient and the cashier was very personable. Though I waited in line for awhile it was worth the wait, with coupons and rewards, my total was a reasonable price.

One of my favorite places, they have everything you may need and more. So many nice things for your home, outdoors and specialty foods.

Rude person on the register. I was kindly requesting for a price check and she refused. She said that’s the price(!) rudely. Checking prices for customers is a part of her of her job being a cashier and I was even asking nicely. She could have refused nicely or even professionally and not raising her voice on me but why does she have to be rude? I don’t understand why some people are like her. She’s the one of Hispanic descent. I’m not saying all Hispanics are rude. I just want you to know coz I didn’t get her name and here’s hoping, she’ll be nice to you when you request her to do something that’s part of her job.

Great new renovations. Very little inventory. No employees on the floor to help, and the one or two that stock seem to avoid the customers. The prices arent as good as they use to be.

I used to enjoy shopping in here but recently asked about furniture and that seemed to be a big deal. First you have to wait 20 mins for someone to come help you , then they walk by you like they don’t see you standing there , avoids eye contact so I won’t ask him any questions. Then when I stand by his computer, he says nothing ! Oh hi how can I help you for starters should be nice !!!!!! None of the prices on the shelf have price tags and don’t get me started on the cashiers SUCK !!!! I guess that’s what I get for going to a ghetto Big Lots . Never again !

It is a good store and I always find a lot stuff the I cant find in other store and the price are good.

At times when I go here, the employees seems like they always have an attitude and uses foul language in front of customers.

Big lots says really turn things around these stores are so much better than they used to be. If you have not been in a big lot in the last 2 years you really must visit I think all of them have been revamped.

The store looked as if it was going out of business, honestly. They didnt have a whole lot of inventory, and what they did have was all over the place. I found what I was looking for, and some things that I would go back there to get because I havent seen them anywhere else. Its also pretty conveniently located near my apartment. Aside from that, nobody spoke to me until I got to the register. When I was spoken to, it was pleasant. I would give it more stars if it was cleaner and had a little more inventory in stock.

Ive been shopping here for over ten years and Ive never experienced what just happened. A female manager, a make employee, and a security guard followed me throughout the entire store. Im not paranoid or crazy, it was so obvious and discomforting. Every single aisle I went down one was at the end of it and the other two were at the other end. It was so weird.

You would be surprised what you can find at this place.

The shelves were a mess, but not because of the employees. Customers had made a mess of the store, but the employees were hard at work trying to get it cleaned up. Despite the monumental task ahead of them, they were very friendly and willing to help me find the things I needed, and even took the initiative to open another register when the lines started to get long. Great store, great prices, and FANTASTIC employees. A++

The other location I visit after going to the one out on New Hope Commons. This stores selection is very hit and miss, most of the time I have found everything I was looking for at this location but sometimes you are not able to find what you need.Still a excellent store to check out and customer service is top notch at this location.

Since the remodel of the store, its alot more open and clean looking.

A Whole new floorplan layout, making the store a little easier to navigate. They are still working out the order of shelf items and shopper friendly categories, but should be really nice by next month. More furniture on display now but same great low prices you expect from them.

Horrible shopping experience!Store -4723 NC Hwy 55Durham NCI drove about 25 minutes across town to purchase three packs of Globe Light Bulbs (approx $50 purchase). While shopping I located some additional items I wanted. A total of at least $100. The store only had one pack of the bulbs that I wanted on the shelf. I located a lady on the floor named Carolyn. I asked her if she had another pack of bulbs to complete my purchase. The time is 8:10pm on Friday night. Carolyn looked me dead in the face and said - “ We probably do have some in the back but to be honest it’s probably hard to get to”. She said “it’s so much stock and stuff I won’t be able to check but I’m sure we have them - you will just have to come back another day”. She had a smirk on her face the entire time. Here I am standing in the store getting ready to spend at least $100 bucks. I had drove 25 minutes from Raleigh to Durham to grab items from this location. I put all of my items back and left the store.

Wow! Talk about an upgrade. I love the look and smell of the new carpet. The flooring is a beautiful canvas for all of the new home furnishings. Big Lots has taken their position- this is their response to Amazon!!

This store had plenty of good staff that were friendly and helpful.. I was just burning time on a sales call scheduled down the street... So went here and ended up with one of those shrink hoses . I actually like it because its not so bulky..

Not much worth going here for in any area. Prices are pretty much the same as all others.

Except for the lack of a stationary department (Really? Not even an area near the registers for a two-selection choice of basic blue/black pens, Big Lots? mmmm-kay) I liked the new model and register stations. Helpful staff and clean-looking store.

I recently purchased furniture from this location and I can not explain how I experienced the best customer service ever! I felt so valued as a customer. The promptness of responding to meeting the needs of customers is a valued as a priority. Who could resist warm fuzzy feelings and low prices !

I like the sale prices that Big Lots offers, the unfortunate thing is that this particular store never has anything I want in stock, or its not in a place where you can find it easily. If something is on sale and its at a good price then the store should have it in the front of the store or on the race track where the customers can see it. The store is not very clean or organized. Most of the employees are nice and willing to help you but you do get the occasional employee that hates there job.

They have lots of patio furniture and decorative items for inside and out at great prices. If you havent been to one in awhile you may be surprised. Staff was very friendly.

The cashier asked if I wanted my receipt rather than just handing it to me with the product I purchased. A person of color, will be challenged at any given time leaving a store without proper documentation of purchase. Sadly thats society today; therefore having a receipt is important.

Friendly staff. Dont go in there looking for something in particular... keep your wishes general and youll find some nice deals and some interesting surprises. Went in hoping for something to play my iPod thru and found a retro radio device I love.

I went in yesterday to purchase a table and the manager (I didn’t know he was who at the time), Jaime was extremely helpful! Along with his great team of employees, Ciara and the guy who helped me strap a table to my car, haha. They were all very patient with me and I’ve never experienced such great customer service. I will forever return to this location as long as they have people like them working there! Thank you guys!
