This review is long overdue! I booked an in-store shopping appointment in July to celebrate my birthday. I wanted to refresh my wardrobe knowing I would be returning to the office in the fall. When I arrived, they had a rack put aside with items for me to try on. I have shopped here for years and what I love most is the way they encourage you to try new things. They also help show you different ways to style pieces to get multiple uses from the same items. And there is never any pressure to buy. Nadira and her staff make you feel like you are the most important, beautiful person in the room. They focus on independent designers who produce their products mindfully and I always leave the store with items that are unique and special. I highly recommend a visit to this wonderful store. And if you dont live in Durham, try their new at home approval boxes...you will not be disappointed! ❤

It’s always a consistently lovely experience shopping at Vert et Vogue. Not only is it a beautiful space and impeccably merchandised, you truly feel so taken care of by the people who work there. They so obviously love what they do and believe in their product (really, really top quality lines, by the way) that you can’t help but want to make an afternoon of it in there! I always come away with some real wardrobe hero pieces along with staples you’ll have for years.

I find the design pretty European. Different qualities and different prices, but all veer from the usual. Located a stones throw from the Marriot hotel in downtown Durham. Nadira and Stephanie not only sell you stuff: they guide, they advise you so you find what you feel confident in. I definitely wish Id made more money to spend some frequently here. This place was just wonderful. I got to Durham and realized I’d packed nothing cute for the weather. I dragged my boyfriend in for some shopping and we both ended up having a blast with the lovely, helpful staff. Such a gorgeous curation of sustainable, emerging, independent brands! I have lived in Milan, New York, and Los Angeles, and I think this was truly one of the best shopping experiences I’ve had. I left with a gigantic bag of clothes I’ll be wearing all summer. I had such a wonderful experience at Vert & Vogue. I recently moved back to the area after living in Europe for 5 years and was having trouble finding local boutiques that catered to my personal style. When I came across V&V’s Instagram account I breathed a sigh of relief to see they carried some of my favorite American labels like Tibi and Rachel Comey but also Belgian designer Christian Wijnants! I instantly knew this was the place for me. When I visited in person, they were so welcoming and helpful. I had a great time trying things on and chatting about fashion with them. I will absolutely be back again and again!

Although this boutique is geared towards women, they have a few sunglasses and watches for men. I found a great pair of Raen Sage sunglasses there, and had the expert opinions to make the right choice. Appreciate y’all! Wonderful customer service!

Vert & Vogue is a beautiful store with amazing staff and excellent clothes. I have been shopping there for four years now and am never disappointed when I walk in the store. There are always new clothes - and the selection ranges from semi formal to lounging cotton pants.Local artists and clothing designers are promoted which has always been important to support in my mind. Their shoe selection is also awesome - flats, boots, heels. Definitely must check it out if you are in the Triangle!

Its always such a pleasure to go shopping at Vert & Vogue! Everything is so beautifully curated & arranged, I never feel overwhelmed when I go into the store even though there is a lot to choose from. Not only that, but the employees and owners are incredibly warm and friendly. I used to never seek advice from store employees, but at Vert & Vogue everyone is so knowledgeable about the products and they give great advice--they genuinely want you to love what you buy. Even though you may end up spending more money than at the mall it is well worth it!

A wonderful store! Beautiful, well-made merchandise, an owner who has a great eye to put together an outfit, and genuinely caring people running V&V. An amazing example: Several months ago I had seen a blazer which I liked but couldnt really afford at the time. Recently I was notified that it was sale season at the store so I took a chance and asked by email if the blazer was still available. It wasnt. It had been sold. And then some hours later I received an email from Zoe of V&V with a link to a site where I could get the same blazer online at a huge discount. Zoe had decided to do some research for me even though it wouldnt result in any purchase from her. Extraordinarily kind of her. What a woman! What a store! (And I live in Manhattan where I have endless choices...I still love to shop at V&V whenever Im visiting family in Durham.)

For casual wear, this store cannot be beaten in terms of quality. They carry a wide selection of Mens and Womens clothing, and every piece is of the highest quality. I highly recommend.

I was never inclined to believe that a clothing store could be a place I would want to return even when I didnt need clothes. But Vert & Vogue is truly something special. All of the staff have impeccable taste, intelligence, good humor, and a light sales touch. (By light I mean that one feels attended to and supported rather than badgered.) They have clearly created an atmosphere to inspire customer loyalty. It is impossible to be in the store and feel anything but elated. I think the air vents pipe in nitrous oxide. The clothes I leave with receive compliments from strangers, are easy to care for, and feel as comfortable as pajamas. (While they sell clothes from several designers, the Vert & Vogue brand shirts are my favorite brand.) Thank you, Nadira and Ryan, for your amazing creation that enriches Durham![UPDATE] One more observation after a few years of V&V clothes: They are excellent for travel. Clothing made this well is durable but lightweight, perfect for layering, and easy to hand wash and drip dry during a long trip. And Nadira and Ryans good taste assures that you will not stick out as an American tourist wherever you go.

Great customer service, great clothes and great materials. They took excellent care of my wife when she was jean shopping. They have vegan shoes and clothing and most products are environmentally friendly. Great boutique right in the heart of Durham and Brightleaf Square.

She suggests the concept of a capsule wardrobe - choosing about 10 quality pieces as the basis for your wardrobe. This is a GREAT way to think about clothing purchases - choosing few high quality pieces is best for the environment, for the people who make our products, and to refine our own sense of style. V&V would be a great place to start building a capsule wardrobe.If you care about quality merchandise, goods with a story behind them, supporting the local economy, and items that are built to last - this boutique is for you.
