My go to place for decorations and crafts. Today I found an acrylic case for my vintage collectors album, and at a reasonable price. Looked my own with no success but when I showed clerk a picture, she took me right to it. Cant wait to get it on my wall in my new zoom room.

My first time in a Michaels store, ever. Considered it a arts & crafts shop. Still not sure! But I did fine a number of items which brought out my creative side. The store was organized, clean, had some great sales. Every staff member I spoke to was very helpful, and informative. The cashier even tracked me down when I forgot one of my bags at the register. They have a savings program, which I joined. Ill be back!

With any new store I go in whether its the first time or the or a long time since Ive been there the sense of wanting to go back is always the first impression that I get and its well endowed at Michaels in Durham the store is laid out in a not familiar way from other Michaels Ive been in but the quality of the size and the merchandise that it carries was very happy that I went I was looking for a large muffin pan and some other items that I was looking for and I was greatly appreciated of the customer that I happened to run into then it was an artist and was familiar with the store when you find a professional who goes to a location it is a highly you want their ability and their knowledge of the products its in any store thank you I have dont have to look for those particular items that I was looking for when you are shopping remember somebody it was there before you were and they helped you out try that with other people right now this week Im working up in Greensboro at the little golf tournament called The Wyndham the PGA event and Im also kicking off the toys for tots and our compound just remember Christmas will be on us before we know it and remember by that extra gift fit can be given to a less fortunate child thank you and Merry Christmas to all!!!

Positive: The staff are incredibly helpful in locating things.Negative: The store has allowed huge areas (especially in the glitter/mica powder and baking goods aisles) of empty pegs to appear. Dont know if its a a management issue or oversight or if products just arent available, but its somewhat unsightly. Especially when there are tons of unshelved products, usually, stored atop each display shelf.Still, positive outweighs the negative.

This is my go-to Michaels, however, tonights behavior was inexcusable. Two employees came over to the clearance wall, where my mom and I were standing, and just talked about absolutely nothing. Instead of asking us if we needed help sorting through the mess of a clearance section, they just stood a few feet away and had a pointless conversation until we left that section. I walked over to a different section and noticed that I started seeing one of the ladies a whole lot more. She kept checking in with another associate to see if he was doing okay but he was clearly fine. All while conveniently walking past every aisle I went on. My mom told me that after awhile, someone FINALLY asked her if she needed help. Wow. This was shocking to me because I usually have no issues and good customer service when I go to this location despite the long lines, messy clearance section and unorganized shelves. Im extremely dissatisfied with the service my mom and I received today. I hope this never happens again but I suppose we will see.

Taking care of last minute shopping and this location, a store employee told us wed have to wait outside due to the number of people inside. The number of people inside was not that great when compared to many of the other stores in the strip shopping center. We went elsewhere and at no other store, including a partner location of Michaels, were we told to wait outside. Each store had different measures in place, but none stopped or preventing shopping because of it. This person was surely enforcing corporate policy, but the way it was conveyed cost a good deal of money and future patronage.

Nice place easy to find items

Always fun to pop in and browse. Inexpensive (mostly) bit huge assortment of crafts and notions. Helpful staff at the register that keep a position attitude. Will be back soon, but not soon enough!

Store definitely pales in comparison to other Michaels, (lighting is bad and the lines take a while long) however the items are all quality and the people are even kinder. Would recommend to anyone whos in no rush to find and purchase theyre livelihood.

Dont bother trying to get a gift card loaded from this location, literally nobody who works there knows how to do it. Not that I frequent ANY Michaels locations, but i will not go back to THIS location for any reason other than to get a refund from where they double charged my debit card...a complete lack of professionalism must be a prerequisite for employment there, which was made evident as the store clerk and manager laughed at me on my way out of the store. Classy bunch...🙄

Michaels has a range of products for the craft person. They have yarns for the knitter and crocheter, art supplies for the artist, cake and cookie decorating supplies for the baker, and many other supplies. This store is well stocked and follows covid guidelines.

Michaels is a great store to get supplies for all levels of arts and crafts. It would have received a 5 star rating, but there were not enough employees visible to offer assistance if needed. The entire time that I visited Michaels, I only saw one employee and that was the cashier....and there was only one cashier.

Its a nice store. Clean and friendly customer service. Im giving them a 3 because I couldnt find any of the crafty stuff for my project.

Like a candy store, I go in looking for one or two items and find more than my share of novelties. That turns into ideas so now I look for something else. A fun place to visit. Even when I dont find what I wanted, I will find something that I can use for a new or old project. Always fun to visit!

It was alright. Seemed a bit cluttered in the main aisles and lacking merchandise in other areas. They had a lot of clearance items. I didnt have the patience to go through it. Plus these are items just about everyone touches. So I avoided them.Didnt see hand sanitizer being offered upon entry/exit. Take your own.

I visited the location in Durham (off 15-501) to pick up online order. Get to the store it was a complete mess! Merchandise was everywhere on the floor and it looked as if a tornado had just touched down inside. After waiting several minutes to pick up an online order I was told all items werent in stock in the store. The line was extremely long and there were only 3 staff total 1on the floor the other 2 on registers. I asked an employee for corporate office # and was told I dont know I looked the number up online and explained what happened and the smart remarks from store employee they asked if I mind receiving a call from management to correct everything I said sure and Ive yet to hear back from them!

Every time I have been to this store I have waited at least 10 minutes in line even though they are staffed. The checkout is insanely slow and they don’t do anything to improve it that I can tell.

Had a great experience shopping at this Michaels today. I was short on time and needed to pick up everything to make a Christmas tree for my sisters apartment. One of their team members, Leslie, was extremely helpful in selecting a tree and assisting in finding all the trimmings. Great service, excellent value and fast checkout despite the busyness of the holiday season. Ive shopped at many Michaels stores and this one is tops.

We get our custom framing done at Michaels. They are expensive but they do run 75% off coupons often. They are friendly and willing to spend time on talking on frame and glass options available.

Chaotic arrangements of products, but nice selection of art and crafts products. Was somewhat rudely addressed by a store employee who wanted to get by me.

Was ridiculous how they tried to organize the line to check out. It created confusion and frustration and a line that reached over half the store

I absolutely love this store! I needed to get some framing done and a friend of mind recommended this Michaels store to me. I was lucky enough to visit during one of their great sale periods on frames. I purchased a great frame and placed a custom framing order as well. Their framing staff was very patient, helpful, and personable. It was my first time getting things custom framed, so it was great to get feedback on my ideas. Michaels had everything I needed, including matting and great frames. I was able to get a mat custom cut to suit my needs. I originally chose one color, but the framing specialist suggested a different one that turned out MUCH better. I get so many compliments on my frames and visitors always ask me who did it for me. I have several other items I need to get framed soon and definitely plan to get them done here.

It was my first visit to this Michaels Store.I found what I was looking for, even though the variety was low in the candy melts. All of the Employees were very friendly and helpful.

Michaels is a great place for crafts and party supplies, but the it is my go to shop for picture frames. Sales are frequent, so wait for one - and check the website for coupons. Full price is never an option here! I find this location to be good but not as well stocked as the Renaissance Mall location. However if I am not the area I will stop here.

Not good curbservice

I was informed a product would be available in store from online. Great! So I march over only to find that the item is not in stock. I was forced to get a more expensive lesser quality alternate.

This location is good for quick shopping visits. However, you may or may not get a decent parking space. New Hope Commons as a whole has a lot more stores than parking spaces needed to cover all the shoppers. The store itself is very small and cramped because its usually overfilled with more merchandise than it can easily hold. Counters a a little too close to one another, which makes shopping the aisles when another person is there, not very easy. There are never enough employees working to handle the number of customers in the store, and sometimes the employees who are there arent very helpful and even a little weird. My cashier told m to have a nice life which was a bit odd as thats something Im more likely to say to someone Im upset with, but whatever. Then she started checking out the next person in line and pushing me out of the way before she even handed me my bag. Slightly rude, but I get it. She was the only cashier and there were 12 people in line. But that goes back to corporate not allowing the store to schedule more than a skeleton crew of workers. Oh, and the front of the store is either freezing (in winter) or sweltering (in summer) because of the crazy doors that are constantly flying open. Michaels corporate...fix that! Those doors are stupid. Have a little compassion for your cashier who has to stand there for hours.

I go into this store and walk out with things that I didnt realize that I didnt need. Big selection. I recommend using the app to find deals and plan your trip before you go.

I had an amazing time shopping at Michaels today. I was offered help from every employee in there through out my shopping trip. Not in an annoying way just a genuinely helpful way. I did accept help finding stuff a couple times and they were just great. The store was clean and fully stocked. Online I got emailed a 50% off regular priced items. Which was a huge savings. There was so much new stuff to look at that I was in there from 9am to 12:30pm. I know thats crazy but I loved it. All the Halloween stuff was all 40% or 60% off. Which is a deal typically stores only offer after Halloween is over. The variety of stuff was amazing. I bought a really big expensive unikitty Lego set for only $14.95!! I had no idea it was on sale and thats what I went in the store today for. I seen it online for over $40 at many stores and figured I could use my 50% off coupon to get it for half but when it ran up it was somehow on sale for under $15?? Amazing!!!! All the plain t-shirts were on sale for $1.99!! Youth and adult sizes from XS to XL in a ton of different colors. You cant even get used shirts that cheap at a thrift store. Anyways I highly recommend checking out Michaels for any Halloween, fall/Thanksgiving, and Christmas products. You will not be disappointed!! Also any crafting stuff you may want they have it for sure. And the staff is so great. Sign up online to be a member and get emails with coupons, weekly deals, inspiration, projects, and even classes they offer. Have fun shopping at my favorite store Michaels just like I did!!

This is probably the best Michaels Ive ever been too, and I say that not so much because of their selection of merchandise, but because of the staff that works there, who go way above and beyond to help their customers! I simply love them! Genuinely amazing people work at this location! They all deserve a raise!

These guys seem to have Everything! The cashiers are helpful and help you process coupon... which Michaels is generous with. I think their goal is to get you addicted to their world of possibilities. Most shoppers seem to know what they came in looking for. One sales person was helping a shopper comb the entire store for a single product the internet said was “ in stock”.Overall, very cheerful place with friendly staff and customers.
