This is a small Sears in a small town. John, who I believe is to be the store manager hes a great guy. Takes care of me every time I go in there never any issues. Also Fran, Its very helpful I have spoken with her on the phone shes very polite and courteous I do not deal with her too much in the store because John, always takes care of me. At this point those are the only 2 employees Ive really dealt with in this particular series and I give them a 10.

Ordered a chest freezer online, but got my (old) currant one fixed so no longer needed the new one and rather it go to someone who truly needed it. When I called to cancel order they questioned me because they wanted to make sure that was something I really wanted to do. They were amazing at making sure I truly wanted to cancel my order and were pleased with the end results as they strive to make all their customers happy! These guys are great!! Highly recommend them for whatever your home needs are. Thank you again!

Sear hometown in Dirango has provided my entire home with appliances over the last five years. Fridge, range, microwave, snowblower, washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Se of those were last minute and they always come through for us. Friendly. Local. They remember you when you come back and dont try to upsell or force a sale on you.

The staff was extremely helpful and patient while trying to order a refrigerator they didnt stock. The sears website, in the store, would not give me the same price I was quoted on my phone. The staff diligently tried different avenues to resolve the price difference. Calls to Sears, by the staff, went unanswered. The patient staff spent over 90 minutes in helping us. I wanted to purchase the appliance in the store. I had to order it myself online.The refrigerator arrived, today, damaged. The manual gives only contacts for troubleshooting and service, no direct warranty contact.I will now have to return to the store for help. The store is getting no credit for the sale or the help.

Well let’s see we ordered a washer and dryer over a month ago that was supposed to be here in less than a week and they have delayed us over six times it’s funny how we already have the bill and the first payment is due but yet we have NO product!!!!

Excellent customer service and small town feel even though it is a corporate store.

My Dryer broke down and they got a new one on their delivery truck last minute- they didnt hesitate to offer to help or find a solution. What a great team! Will buy from again.

The leasing program is the best around! I have personally done 4 leases its the best way to buy appliances and tools if you dont have all the money to pay right away. It also doesnt impact your credit score which is one the best things about the Why Not Lease It program.

My dryer started making a really loud noise, so I called the warranty number..made an apt. with them, but no one ended up showing up to fix the machine. After an entire week of ME having to call the warranty number, waiting on hold for hours, no one could help me or get anyone out here to fix it, which I have the extended warranty, so it should have been an easy fix!!! I ended up calling the Durango store and talked to John, who was and always is extremely helpful!!!! He handled everything and actually gave us a whole new dryer because no one could come out and fix my machine!!! Great customer service from the Durango store!! Watch out with extended warranties and actually getting someone out in this area. Not many companies work with this area!! Thanks Durango Store. Much appreciated!:)

This store is excellent! John, Jerry and Alice are great to work with and they go out of their way to help. I love the leasing program and highly recommended anyone who can’t pay full out of pocket to use this program to get new appliances and tools! Super fast and easy to get approved.

We just purchased a dishwasher at SEARS Hometown in Durango, and had a great experience with the salesperson, manager, and new owner. Good products with a service team to follow up after purchase, and they went out of their way to save us money by finding the best deal and throwing in a store coupon. This SEARS store is locally owned and will be in business for many years to come!

I would like to give John 5 Stars so exceptional customer service for me today! I ordered a washer and dryer and it needed a LP conversion to Propane kit, which I did not know. I called for two days looking for this and was told to call Sears. After all the problems for two weeks getting the washer and dryer, then to find out I need another part, ugh... So I called and John answered. He not only found the single part that I need, he was so pleasant, kind and efficient in helping save me any further problems. He is a PROBLEM SOLVER! And a very nice one too! Thank you so much John! I really appreciate it.

This store is outside the main Sears business mess and will stay open no matter what happens to the main bankruptcy. So dont sweat that. They have a surprising amount of stock in the store or can order anything you need, pretty quick delivery (only took about 4 days for my freezer). Really helpful salespeople too. And yes they still stock Craftsman.

I dont write reviews. Lets just start with that. But I was compelled to write this review because it was deserved. I went into the Sears located in the Durango Mall, not to make a purchase, but to find an obscure replacement part for my microwave. John came to my aid. He went above and beyond to find the part I was looking for. John looked through broken, returned, or discontinued microwaves for the part I needed, and, alas, he found it on the fourth try. In the future, when I am able to renovate my kitchen, I will be calling on John to help me again. Thank you John!

SEARS HOMETOWN IS NOT CLOSING!Sears Hometown Store hooked me up with many leases to increase my credit score, my health and overall happiness. The bed I purchased along with the weight set helped me become more serious about my life as a bodybuilder.

Local manager saves the day... We ordered online, seeking to pick up at the store. When we arrived, we found the local price to be lower, so cancelled the online order and purchased from the store.We later received an email from Sears online, stating they could not issue the refund because we had picked up the item from the store,and would have to have the store remedy the situation.Initially, the salesperson told us there was nothing he could do. Later, the manager called us back, informing us he had taken care of the problem.Sears online, zero stars.Local sales guy, zero stars.Local manager, five stars.In the future, well be skipping Sears online.

Outstanding customer service and a large line of of products are the reason why I chose Sears to buy all of our appliances. We made the right choice to order all of our appliances for our new home from our Sears Howetown Store. Sears was by far more helpful than the others right from the get go. We ordered double of everything for our new home because one floor is a mom-in-law apartment. We came in over Thanksgiving during a sale and Miguel stayed with us long after closing to correctly place our order. We also worked with John as we followed our order through the system. We had to store them for months in Denver as we wanted them delivered after the flooring got finished. John warned us that the warranty would start the day of delivery and told us that Sears would store them until we were ready so we wouldnt waste the warranty time if they sat at our house. The appliances then made their way to Durango and they were able to hold them for a month here while we finished cabinets. Timing was everything and they were able to accommodate our changing schedule. We even picked up 2 of 10 appliances early so that we could fit them in place. One of the items was damaged as soon as it was delivered but Sears was able to replace the part on same day!

Over the past 20 years I have bought many appliances from this store. More recently I have been shopping online to save the drive to Durango, not realizing the on-line store is not the same as the Hometown Store. I now know the difference. When I had an issue with an on-line order that the on-line customer service could not solve, they told me to go to the nearest store even after I explained it was a Hometown store. So, I did. The manager went out of his way t help me with a return even though he has nothing to do with on-line returns. THANKS!

Ive never dealt with friendlier employees at a store before. Even after dealing with a particularly rude and loud customer, they were still able to help me with a smile.I was buying tools to fix my car when one employee offered to drive me to the auto parts store on his lunch break if I needed anything. I think that in itself speaks to how friendly and genuinely helpful these people are.

I have never had my intelligence insulted as a woman. The manager miguel was nice good salesmanship but cant say the same of his sales team. I regretfully paid more thinking his team would be as corgal and honest as him.
