Bogus wheel alignment. They will lie to their teeth when they tell you that they did an wheel alignment to your car. I saw them jack up and down my car and had it on test drive and tell me that they manually did the wheel alignment while they did not know that I was watching them the entire time inside the waiting area. The guy or I should say that kid on the reception area and his mechanic has that poker face and tell me that they manually did it.I went to another mechanic in Englewood and they told me that nobody has been doing manual wheel alignment since the 1990s.NO!! Do Not go here for wheel alignment!!!

I went to get an oil change. My appointment was for 2pm and they made me wait there for 2 hours and 40 minutes. They did not even check the tire pressure. I do not recommend you go there.

So only came here for the conventional oil change last minute on a friday morning. Took 45 minutes to complete. Total paid $24.99. You are able to see inside the shop while work is being done on your car. The place can use a little tlc inside for the waiting area but for the most part they get the job quick and fast. No gimmicks. Straight forward. Small free parking lot located in front of store. Close to stop and shop and subways if your hungry.

You can negotiate pricing and they are open on Sundays.

Made appointment and had to wait an hour and a half for a 10 minute oil change. After leaving, started hearing a clancking under my car. Called and said I was returning next day cause I was on my way to work. Next day had to wait ANOTHER 2 HOURS just so they could look to see what they left untightened 🤬

Quick problem analysis and brake repairs

I called on Thursday to see about an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation and to have my A/C inspected as it doesn’t always blow cold air. I advised them I would need to stay at the location since I didn’t have a ride. They gave me an appointment for Friday at 9:30am. I arrived at 9:15 and was told the A/C diagnostic would be 2 hours. I decided to leave since it would be 3 hours. After 4 hours, I called to check on status and was told nothing had been done on my car. I was told it could be even more than 2 hours and that one customer had to leave their car for a week. I was asked if I wanted to reschedule and I asked if there was a point to my 9:30am reservation and was told ‘not really’. I am extremely disappointed in their lack of professionalism and disclosing real information. It would have been nice on Thursday if they had advised me that an A/C check would require hours and I wouldn’t have the car the entire day or more...or that they were too busy and it would have to be next week. Poor customer service!!

I am sure Midas is great with other car care, but this was not my experience. I went in for an oil change (advertised on the internet as: $18.99), and was bait & switched. The estimate given me was: $89.00. The manager told me he was legally obligated to rotate my tires and perform various other safety procedures. Patently not true (at least in NJ). I went elsewhere and got my oil changed at another nationally recognized auto-oil-change facility. At $39.99.

They know there cars and products. My Canadian made Honda Civic had a unique muffler that was was more expensive than I was quoted at a competitor, which would not have fitted properly. The old one was dangling on a supporting bracket Happy not to hear the loud old muffler. Picture is the old muffler disconnected from tail pipe missing parts

Experience started off well when I called and got in contact with a Mr. Fernando and was told if I drop my vehicle off before noon I would get my oil change with free tire rotstion done. Long story short I was not notified when my work was completed and was charged extra $30+ for a tire was patched, balanced & mounted without my consent. I was told they tried to contact me multiple times and they couldnt get me. Turned out they were calling wrong number but my number was correct on my receipt. And oil change light is still on I wasnt even give the little oil change stucler that go on the window. I was compelled to pay for I cant get the work done without my permission reversed and was trying to get home before traffic build up. Didnt have the energy to argue. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. When I return to get my oil change light reset MIDAS in Dumont NJ or anywhere else will not get my service again

Brought my truck in for a tough job of replacing the exhaust manifold gasket that needed to get done due to sound and pollution issues. Kedar and his team got the job done right away as soon as I brought it in. I was expecting it to be done the next day, but they tackled it and did an AMAZING job! Went in here today as a metal piece under my car started hanging down and making an awful noise. They were able to look at my car the second I got there and fixed it in ten minutes and then didnt even charge me! I did tip them $20 for their work. They were super nice and helpful. Awesome customer service!

The manager Charlie was courteous and customer friendly.Once my car was on the lift Fred the mechanic gave it the once over and discovered a few things (like putting grease on the newly installed brakes) that the Dealer didnt bother to do... Fred found a way to make all the necessary repairs and I left there with my car purring like a kitten!!!!Ladies, dont be afraid, these guys do a GREAT JOB!!!!

Update: Ive been coming to this Midas for years. Theyre honest & fair. Charlie, then Kedar used to be mgr. now Fernando. Youre better off letting them do yr oil change than a quickie lube. Youll get a through inspection & tire rotation incl. for less $ too. Make an appt. & wait. I go during week not Sat. when busy, theyre a small shop. Quality vs. convenience is the trade-off for oil change. Had brakes, struts, shocks & exhaust done over the years on my last car. Can b a little expensive. Ill get some repairs done at other shops from now on. Ill get estimates elsewhere now. Also every shop has come up with different diagnosis for same problems incl. them TBH. Midas still my 1st goto. Theyre willing to work with me. Let me see work & talk to mechanic. Still recommend.

Been bringing my car in for last 10 years, mechanics do good job and get you out in a timely fashion, Charlie the Manager is phenomenal!

The service is okay but the real issue is why did I set an appointment to wait for 2 hours to get my car. They also didn’t have the exact tires I requested online when I made my appointment. I made the appointment 2 days before going they did not tell me they didn’t have the correct tire or attempt to find it. I should have went somewhere else but I did not want to waste my Saturday.

I brought the car in for a 10 mins oil change and I ended up waiting for 1.5 hrs and I still cant leave. Charles was unable to reset the b1 indicator and eventually made the car inoperable because the ignition wouldnt start. I paid $50 for this service and missed a few other appointments because of this fiasco. Changing the oil on a Honda SHOULD NOT be this hard. Its only one of the most popular cars in the world.

Beware! These midas dumont guys need more skills on technical issues. I visited them for AC issue and they did something not accurate charged me about $2000 also broke windshield though they replaced it. It was my wrong call. I visited dealer they found the correct issue and fixed it in less price. I wont ever go Midas for any issues even for vehicle service. I ended up with long days wait, higher bill and finally no fix at midas.

As with any garage repairs, be savvy about your vehicle.

I was able to bring my car in asap, and get the service i needed asap. Armen the mechanic showed me all of the issues with my car and helped me decide the best options for the repair. Top knotch service and great prices. Ken was wiling to work within my budget to make sure I got the best service for my money. I would recommend this location to friends and family. Professional and personable, and awesome service. Bottom line... Bring your car here for great service, or regret going somewhere else.
