Old World Meats had a new feel to the store. The overall meat selection was good, but some meat prices were increased compared to other stores with the same quality of meats. Great staff offering help immediately. I will stop in again.

I just had my first visit to this place and its everything youd want! Mike, who was friendly and knowledgeable, set me up with beautiful-looking ribeyes, Greek & marinated beef tenderloin kabobs, hamburger and seven different kinds of beef sticks (of almost 20, I believe!) They also offer a decent cheese selection, including Ellsworth curds. Highly recommended, and I will be back!

This is my one stop shop for the best meat and animal products in town. I have always been more than satisfied and the staff have the answers you need and great suggestions for how one might prepare the food if youre looking to try a new recipe or cooking style. The prices are definitely worth the quality and are lower than most people would think to pay at a real Butcher Shop compared to a Super Market. If you havent been there yet, do yourself a favor and see for yourself!

Pretty spendy for beef, but cuts were alright....staff was very rude

The moment I walked in there everyone working there was acting and looking like I had just came in and insulted their grandmother. Serious attitude and a negative, unwelcoming vibe. Maybe its different for a different kind of customer base but I will be doing my best not to go back.

Generally, I like the quality of meat from this place, but recently I bought 10 pounds of frozen hamburger, already bagged up. The quality is terrible with high fat content and who knows what else in the mix. Their hamburger from the display case is very good. I will end up throwing out the remaining 8 pounds and buy my hamburger from somewhere else.

I really only go there for their sandwiches! You have to ask the cashier for them (brisket or pork) and theyll make it for you. $3 for a delicious sandwich, great lunch. Aside from the sandwiches, their selection of meats and other items is great. Good quality, fresh, and a large selection. The staff are friendly and make you feel at home. This is an easy place to miss, but its worth your time to go!

I used to love Old World Meats. Not anymore. The cooked shrimp was awful. The prepacked bacon was thin. I could go on or I can go to Superior meats where the options are much better. I wish I had tried Superior meats a long time ago.

Brought deer there for processing. Asked for Italian breakfast sausage. So far of the 10+lbs of sausage cooked only 3 lbs was actually seasoned sausage. Great turn around and nice guys but a poor product to the costumer.

My wife wanted to get some rib eye steaks and chicken (for soup) so off we went to Old World Meats, we live 2.7 miles away, she went in while the dog and I waited in the car, she came out somewhat upset as they had no chicken and no rib eyes in fact they only had two T-bones in their meat case, apparently with all the restaurants closed because of the current pandemic people are buying more steaks, etc... Wow, they were outstanding in fact they were some of the best steaks weve ever had, of course it helps that she does an exceptional job cooking a steak, we may be buying more T-Bones in the future, thanks OWM!!!

I want to like this locally owned business, I really do, but sometimes they make it difficult. As some of the other reviews allude to, the service can be very hit or miss. Sometimes the help is friendly and helpful, but other times they really make it seem like it’s an inconvenience to sell you something. The last two times I’ve been there have not been great, and I’m not sure I’m willing to try my neighborhood meat market again when there are several other places to try.

Super good brats and friendly staff. Have not tried the steak we bought yet, but if its anything like the brats Im sure well be pleased.

Besides having some of the best meats around, they have the best people behind the counter! I go for their bacon and always grab a hot sandwich on my way out!

They have the best cuts of meats, great fish and so many great varieties of beef sticks in the northland. The owner is a fantastic guy and loves to make his customers happy. The other meat stores in the area dont compare! Highly recommended!

Best meat locker Ive ever been to. Never got a product from here that wasnt exceptional. I live in the neighborhood, and have had the chance to sample their brats, bacon, meat sticks, jerky, burger meat, pork shoulder, BBQ sauce (all natural and Gluten Free), corn...all of it is awesome and they have tons of options for every category (I didnt know this much variety could exist in one place when it came to meat products). They also get their bread from a local bakery, and its fantastic3 generations of something special and counting. Its legitimately a meat lovers dream! They also take really good care of their customers, and are eager to make recommendations/help you select something awesome. Some food network show should do a special on this place.

Opinions vary... some may like it, we did not. Were not from the area, but went looking for a good snack while in town. Bought a variety of meat sticks and jerky. My family gives the meat sticks and jerky a thumbs down. The staff were not friendly.

The butcher not even wearing a glove to picking up the smoke stick snack. Especially is ready to eat. So disgusted

My husband went there today and got a pork butt and some ribs. He opened the ribs and they stunk like they were old. The date to use by was August 2017. He heard very good things about this place. So it was a bummer we paid $20 for them and we cant eat them.

Its not local meat, its from Iowa. Service is hit and miss. A few times the butcher never put gloves on when handling meat, then went on to handle my payment.

I bought two packages of smoked fish that said WILD on the label and got to the counter and the co-owner said it was not wild and none of the smoked fish is wild and it was sloppy labeling...I will not go back...and I live a few blocks away....very disappointed.
