Bought an LG fridge. compressor went out after 4 years then again at 6 years. lost hundreds in food both times. both times waited 6 weeks for a repair man. still under warranty but they refuse to do anything else to fix it. hate to put down a local business but they have no customer loyalty and service is terrible. beware of buying from them.

When we needed a new gas range, I tried to shop local so I bought one that was in stock on their website. I didnt get a phone call acknowledging my order the next day so I called them and was told theyd call me back. That call never came so I sent an email. I didnt receive a response. So I call the next day and was told that it isnt in stock and wont be available for almost a month. I selected an in stock unit because I wanted it right away. I was told their inventory isnt linked to their website. Okay, then why list something as in stock? Cancelled the order. Best Buy will have it here in four days for a lower price. I tried to give them a chance but they really need to communicate better with customers.

IncompetentGot a brand new washing machine and the install team wheeled it in didnt replace the water line and called it good ran 13 cycles and the washer was jumping around the basement floor and I finaly fugured out why, their incompetent install team never removed the shipping bracket so the outer drum was locked in place so the washer practically destroyed itself. Keep in mind this was a brand new 1,100 dollar speed queen washing machine. About a year ago we also ordered a gas dryer but they delivered an electric one and never corrected their mistake they also didnt hook up the water line so we cant even steam our clothes with it

Awesome staff to work with!!This is the only place I will buy my appliances at. They stand behind their products and are very honest with you.

Horrible customer service!! Have been dealing with the same issues for 2years. They did nothing about it. Now I’m stuck with a fridge that is peeling and it’s 3years later. They never did call me back when they said they would. Not friendly at all! There are plenty of places to get appliances don’t waste your time with Ellis!

The entire team at Ellis has been amazing to work with. We recently used them to service our oven. They will be our first stop for any future purchases.

They gave us options and pricing we needed to make the decision on the appliances we wanted and were not pushy, which is a huge factor in my buying their products.

Super helpful gentleman sold me an aftermarket replacement for the relay switch on my fridge right before close and took the time to explain to me how to put it together once I took old pieces apart. It worked thanks to his helpful instruction!!!!! Super grateful right now! My food is saved! Ill definitely go back if I ever need anything again. Thank you!!!!

My opinion is that this company is poorly managed, staff does not properly communicate with each other, and employees are allowed to speak unprofessionally to clients. A great deal of my time was wasted, therefore I would not recommend.

Very poor customer service. Weve been without a refrigerator for over 5 weeks. When we call to keep checking when theyll be out to repair, Daves wife simply says its not her problem. Then hangs up on you. Do NOT recommend this place for any appliance purchase!!

Dont waste the time. Horrendous customer service. Waiting over 7 months for wash machine to be fully repaired. When calling, customer service is not pleasant. They tell you they will have someone call back, but theyre frankly just unresponsive. Try another small business elsewhere or a big box retailer. I dont understand how this company stays in business.

My washer stopped functioning last week and I was looking for local repair. When I called they were not friendly nor did they seem to want to help. The man just told me how busy he was and I wouldn’t be able to get help for at least a week an a half.My dad also called with questions. A female answered and was not pleasant. Basically told him that there were no service men around to talk to him and that was it.I am also aware of a friend that is struggling with their service currently. She has been trying to get her appliance serviced for the last 3 months without success.This is my first impression with this locally owned business and would not suggest it either.

For a 2 year old GE dishwasher with a 5 year service agreement I have waited 2 months ( and still waiting) to repair a leak. The first repairman was incompetent an said we needed an electrician because there wasnt any power. $90.00 later the electrician said the power was good. The second repairman was much more professional and identified the defective part (ordered 3 weeks ago but still not here). He also said an internal circuit breaker disconnected power when the inside of the dishwasher got wet. Another friend has also been waiting for over two months to get an appliance repaired. Im tired of doing dishes by hand and Im worried that Ellis Appliance is going out business.h

Ellis repair accepted my ticket thru Home warranty. A week an a half later my dryer is still not working an we never heard from them an never returned our calls.Not happy with wet cloths.

Yes the commercials are cheesy... I don’t like them but it is one of the best appliance places in iowa, according to GE we get customers from Wisconsin and Illinois. Service guys can lack by they arnt family. Overall good place to get appliances.

It took about 4 weeks to finally have someone show up and when the tech arrived I was told we dont service this wash machine when I informed them of the brand when I called the frist time.

Terrible experience. After building a new home, we bought all of our new appliances there. Both our refrigerator and washing machine have broke within the first year, at around the same time. A repair person came, looked for about 3 minutes and said both needed new parts. That was well over 2 months ago. After several calls to locate the parts, weve been told multiple times they had no record of us needing parts. We were then told another time that they had one part but the other part was on back order and the most recent time we were in contact, told they us the have no parts and no way to track them????Terrible customer service. Will not be going back and will be telling everyone about our experience.
