This place is expensive relative to what you get. Similar in price to 85*, but IMO 85 is better. Can get almost identical stuff in Oakland Chinatown for roughly 1/4 the price or less (Napoleon Bakery). For example, some items that were supposed to be crunchy were simply not at all. That being said, nothing here is BAD. Just pricey for the quality vs alternatives. Also, during COVID you cant walk the store like usual, so its hard to poke around and browse for what you want. You wait in line and order at the door...then youre under pressure to hurry and order at the front. Dont like it.

The most disappointing cake I ever had, I paid 40 dollars to eat 3 thick layers of cream and some chocolate chips on top. I will never go back to this shop.

Overpriced but treats were pretty good. Probably wont come back just because it was expensive, but everything tasted good. Highly recommend honeydew shortbread if you do come here.

A good variety of fresh pastries, savories, bread and cakes - HK style. What we tried was delicious - makes me want to come back here and try more.

Terrible service, the old lady gave me a broken egg rolls! Spoke Cantonese condemned customers Ling always got such an attitude! She should get fired! This is a second time I encountered terrible service from here and you guys a are always terribly, dishonest giving customers a defective products! I actually saw and wonder why the old lady put it back a good bag of the egg rolls and gave me the broken one? I did not like this dishonest behavior and this is not the right customer service. 85 Degree Bakery is more professional, efficient, respectful, and way better. Unless the young kids are working those older employees are extremely rude! This is not your home bakery shop!

This place is honestly magical. Its meticulously clean, the staff is very friendly, and the pastries are better here than Ive ever had. Every change I get to go to an Asian bakery I go, but Im always comparing them to his location. I recommend the Pork Sung Bun, Egg Tart, and the thing with Garlic/Cheese/Scallions. I could eat here every day!

This is a one-of-a-kind bakery. Generally, theres only one taste in all the goodies but are prepared in different ways and all satisfy my palate. And yes! Those egg tarts! We drive 45 minutes to just come and buy our favorites here. Highly recommended!

Pastries here are really good and remind me of my childhood. The shop itself is super cute. You self serve and bring it up to the register when done, where they pack up your items for you.The crunch bun was so fluffy and delicious. I could eat one of these everyday. Another stand out was the red bean bun. So pretty and delicious.

Only good Chinese bakery in the area besides the 99 Ranch Markets. But this is way cleaner, more upscale, of course. Great place for gift items like moon cakes and fresh pastries (try the roast pork pastries), birthday cakes that arent too sweet like Western ones. Be sure stop in the morning before they run out of the egg tarts and other goodies later in the day as they are quite popular!

Not recommend anymore...We used to purchase many bread and cake from here. But, we found, their bread and cake are not fresh anymore. We just purchased one spoil cake. It made my kids and myself not feel well for whole day. We told him, they didnt have any correction plan. And, the bread is also not fresh any more. We will not go there anymore.

This is one of multiple Bay Area locations of this bakery originally from Hong Hong. The warm egg custards and BBQ pork pastries kept in the warmer on the counter are the signature items you must try. 👍🏻
