This Batteries Plus Bulbs is the closest one to my home in Alameda. I started dealing with Batteries Plus Bulbs about 10 years ago when they had their business in San Francisco on Bush Street. They closed that business, so I started going to the one in El Cerrito on San Pablo Avenue. Guess what? The one in El Cerrito closed a little over a month ago.Since I always rely on their business having the CR2025 batteries, my husband and I stopped in at this one. I like the business; however, I wish the gentleman who assisted me was little more pleasant. He was very helpful in finding a pack of batteries for my stylus/pen/flashlight accessory. When I need my CR2025s I will come back to patronize the business.Maybe my future visit will be more pleasant. Time alone will tell.

They might not have everything you need in stock, but if you call them or walk in they are the most helpful people ever! They were patient when I asked basic battery questions, gave me a good refund back for my old battery, and helped me haul my new battery to my car without me even asking. :)

I usually dont write negative comments, but I feel compelled to write this to warn other consumers since they refused to honor the warranty for rather a common scenario. I purchased a high-end battery for MDX earlier this year. The battery never kept the charge even after the replacement. We thought that it was due to infrequent usage of the vehicle due to COVID lockdown. However, even after extensive use, it never kept the charge. We took it back to the store, and they told me it is probably a bad alternator. So, we replaced the alternator, but it continues to display the same problem. We again thought it was due to infrequent usage, but it still did not hold the charge even after the extensive drive. We took it back to the store multiple times, where they gave us homework to do each time, but none helped. They finally ran a test on the battery to find that it is a faulty battery. However, they are refusing to honor the warranty due to a previous potential issue with the alternator. I even contacted the Batteries Plus Bulbs corp office, but they repeated the same from the store owner. They attempted to sell me a cheaper battery at a discounted price if they were doing a service for me. It is very common to find alternator issues after battery replacement. However, if the company and store owner refuses to stand by their warranty, then I am not sure why they even advertise it in the first place.

Would not honor warranty for $300+ AGM battery purchased at this location in 2018. Battery was fully charged and confirmed defective through a load test, but the warranty was voided due to a loose positive terminal and claimed it wasnt charging properly. The terminal was securely fastened to the battery and confirmed to have no negative effect on charging. Purchased new battery elsewhere.

On September 22 I took my iPhone in to have a cracked screen replaced. I should have known better. I had to ask to replace the protective cover the technician took off.I have had nothing but trouble with my phone. The screen rotated by itself, changed colors, rapidly flipped between s apps. When I went to Apple, their tech noticed that one of the screws was missing.My very expensive iPhone was rendered useless when the screen went totally blank.I strongly suggest taking your phone to a reputable business

Prior to my online order, called into the store, Greg answered and was very helpful. Once at the store, greeted at open door, held open to allow me to walk easily in carrying my core. Saw my order was already at the front desk with paperwork. Simple accounting procedure to recognize my core and even helped to my car with the new battery. Wow! What great experience. Already looking forward to my next future purchase.

Small shop packed with every type of battery you can imagine. Needed a hard to find battery for my Volvo key fob and he had it in stock here. Prices are a bit higher than you would pay if ordered on the internet, however this is a good place to get a hard to find battery when you need it the same day.

This is my go-to place for batteries. Over the past few years, they have assembled custom Ni-Cd battery packs for me, replaced batteries in a UPS for a fraction of the price of the UPS manufacturer, and I bought one car battery here that has proven dependable, even more so than the OEM battery. I need a new battery for my truck now, and will buy it here.Yes, the parking lot is not ideal, but it became that way after the shopping center was renovated several years ago with additional construction added. Unfortunately this seems to be typical of new parking lots in Dublin.I normally avoid shopping at places with tight parking, but the great service I’ve received, fair prices, and quality of the items available at this store keep me coming back.

I recently bought two RV batteries from Batteries Plus in Dublin, Ca. This was a great and easy transaction. I paid online and when I went down to the store, the batteries were ready and they loaded them in my truck and removed the old ones. Also, there was a 10% off offer online which I took advantage of. I needed a battery for my 1985 Honda Magna VF700C. It was immediately available for pick up. I decided to get the more expensive Duracell (with a 2-year warranty), which had more cranking power compared with less expensive brands. It could see right away that it was more powerful than my old battery.

Parking is tight in this lot and there are two handicap spots up front that serve the whole building. Customer often pull into the walkway between the handicap spots. Being in a wheelchair this prevents me from accessing my car and loading my wheelchair in. Obviously this isn’t B and Bs fault, but what is their fault is their employee arguing with me that it’s “their spot” and it’s ok for people to do it. Honestly if they just apologized for their customers I might buy my next car battery here, but encouraging people to violate the parking the law at the expense of the disabled is rotten. I recommend you shop elsewhere with a more considerate staff .

Wow!! Went in thinking a place that specializes in bulbs would have LED options for just about everything. Was looking for a replacement for a hallogen flood. The guy said that he hadnt seen anything like that. When I mentioned that theyre all over Amazon and that Id rather get them here, he just chuckled and mumbled something under his breath. I guess thats why brick and mortar is on the outs!! If you want to save time and $$ just shop Amazon I guess ...

I took my failing iPad 2 in to have a new battery installed, as I was fairly certain that was my problem in that it did not hod a charge for over one day anymore.After a couple of hours, I received a text indicating that the device was ready for pickup. When I went to the store, I was happy to learn that it was just a setting that had inadvertently changed, causing the device to remain on all the time.There was no charge for the service. No inspection fee, nor was there any minimum processing fee.Nice to see there are still shops that operate that way.Should the need for batteries or bulbs arise, you know where Ill be conducting my business.

I had my cell phone screen replaced recently at this store. The customer service is excellent. They are very nice and responsible.

Generally unhelpful staff, strange vibe, smelled like pot in the store, parking was a complete nightmare, battery came with NOTHING (i.e. paper, instructions to tell me if it was already charged, or if I had to charge it, and how to charge if I needed to, no box either). The salesguy did not offer that info. The 2 stars are because I think the value was good for the battery I bought. I will buy from a different source next time.

Prompt friendly service and knowledgeable Staff.

I discovered this store about a month ago. I have been back FOUR TIMES to buy more stuff! They carry EVERYTHING in the bulbs and batteries category. The staff there have been very kind to me, and have answered all of my questions about how to transition from regular light bulb to LED light bulb. They also have a display with the lights bulbs turned on so that you can see the differences. They also carry regular three-way 30-70-100 bulbs for many of the lamps in my home. The prices for these bulbs are $5 per bulb, which is slight higher than youll find at Home Depot. However, I would rather pay the slightly higher price at a place where I can run inside, get what I need, and run out---and if I have questions, there is always someone there with knowledge to help out. My first visit there, I brought in a family keepsake that is a small, all silver metal steam train locomotive (small, fits in the palm of your hand). It has a clock on the front, and in the back is takes some type of weird battery and I had no idea how to change it or where I could even buy such a battery. But the young manager there knew exactly what to do and had the thing fixed with the correct time set on the clock before I even came back to the counter with my other purchases. AWESOME!! Ive also purchased AA batteries in bulk----containers of 24 batteries---and I forget the price but I seem to recall it was about 70% cheaper than CVS. They also sell Honda generator batteries for a 5000 watt generator I have for home use, and Ive been paying way too much at a Honda store. Now I know where I will buy my next generator battery! Overall I give them a 5 out of 5 stars. The place is clean, organized, very neat and tidy, and they are totally happy to help you out. Its a dream that a store like this exists. I never knew!!!!!

Ive only had the battery for a few days and my car (bmw m3) is starting noticeably quicker. X2 is manufactured by Northstar and my 2nd choice was the Northstar battery but this one had higher cranking amps; (cold cranking amps was the same). Dont think you can go wrong with either one but batteries plus is a brick and mortar store so returns would be easier in case of a defective battery.

Purchased battery online and picked it up from the store. The gentleman working that night was very friendly and helpful. He offered to help me out with the install, but being from an automotive background, I could manage a battery change without any help. I also had a blown reverse light that I found out when I was changing the battery which was a plus that they sold automotive bulbs too. The AGU battery I purchased has been holding uop very well so far having a sound system running. Thanks!

I orderes some batteries and discovered they were not needed. I asked for a credit on my acoutn. To date I have not seen it on my statement

Complete and utter waste of time. Dude told me they have the battery I need over the phone and when I get there (after 40 minute drive), another guy at the store tells me they don’t have it. Then I asked if he can call the other guy maybe he left it somewhere at the counter, and he refused to call him. Never again
