I left work early to be home and the repair technician never showed up. I called the 24/7/365 emergency contact number for hours and no one picked up or returned my call! There are better companies out there, Im moving on.

VERY DISAPPOINTED in region energy! i have been a client for over 10 years. the service was always good prior to this year. this year, we had a new tech come in to do annual service on a/c system in late may. tech was complaining about location of equipment, small issues he was having w/condenser, etc. i was going to call a complaint in but i thought that maybe he was just having a bad day. less than 6 weeks later, my upstairs bedroom and hallway was flooded out due to blocked drain lines. i had to call in a local contractor that came within an hour. he cleared the drain lines, removed the insulation in attic. shop vacced all water in attic and cleared drain pan. i called region energy to get someone out asap to inspect the damage. it took them over a week to send someone AND THEY SENT THE SAME SERVICE TECH! I HAVE LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES FOR THE SERVICE MANAGER, DOUG, AND HAVE NOT YET RECD A RESPONSE!

Honest review as I typically do not do reviews. I had a been a customer for 3yrs and just sold the house. Multiple times would fail to show up within the allotted time frame. Additionally, no one would call to advise of their tardiness, which obviously speaks to there customer service quality. Customer service is typically useless so don’t waste your time, they are usually rude and provide little to no assistance with your matters regardless of the severity. Specifically, I needed a simple oil level reading, they told me it was done, and to look for an email. A day later I find the test was never done. Their tech typically do not know anything except how to service said heating equipment as they tried to recommend me for an entire new plumbing system suggesting it was all wrong. I took their advice and hired a plumber who said there was nothing wrong.In conclusion, there are better oil companies out there. Stay away from Region, poor customer service, zero respect for your needs or concerns, expensive, overall poor quality.

I use Region Energy as my heating oil supply company. I called them when I had no hot water. They sent a technician, Sonny, to check my oil level and fix my boiler. Sonny was very friendly, intelligent and happy to answer all of my questions. I will absolutely use Region Energy again for any technical problems.

We had an oil tank replaced. Technicians were great it was an easy install. Waited 2 months for my permits Tracy from Region said they will get them and bill me. I finally went down to my town to get them myself. We had all the inspections done, which passed with flying colors. I am giving them 2 stars because the old oil tank in still on my property. We called Region multiple times to get it remove. My husband finally got a hold of the person over the installation department. We got an answer from Tracy she said this Monday which was a month ago. My husband called back again several times and still waiting for a callback. We had this oil tank installed in October 2020. I am really disappointed since I have had this company since 1993.

Needed a new boiler. The installation went smoothly and in a timely manor. The installers were professional and courteous. The were careful to clean up after the work was completed. The Sales staff and customer service staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Had to call yesterday for an small leak from our boiler. Customer service was incredibly friendly and able to schedule a service call for that night, within a three hour window. Tech showed up an hour into the window. He evaluated and fixed the problem within 10 minutes. Even fixed another small issue we had. Sonny was incredibly friendly, respectful and went above and beyond. Would 100% request him again! *We do have the service plan and in this instance it was well worth it since the whole thing was covered*.

My furnace was not staying on, I would have to press the reset button 20 times a day and my house was freezing! The service tech Sonnie was on time, polite, courteous, helpful, and above all knew exactly what he was doing! Great experience, great service tech!

Horrible. I have an infant at home during a snow storm they promised a window of delivery and made us sign a contract to get an emergency delivery, AND check my credit.. then they dont show up. We had to call to see where they were to find out they stopped deliveries

Always very professional & courteous. The technician came within the time frame given on the weekend for no heat and quickly did an assessment. My technician is truely an asset to Region Energy. I decided to have an electrician replace the thermostat while fixing other electrical issues. I had prior purchased a Gold Service Agreement so this call was covered by the agreement.

This company steals you !!! You dont have any benefit with these people, we had problems with our heating at night when the temperature was 17 degrees, we called them and they only came the next day at 4 pm, then they came back the following week and they just left me the equipment working and now they sent me a bill for $ 947 dollars.

I wish i could give zero star! My advice, stay away from this company! They have all types of problems. From giving you one price and charging other on the propane. Having problem to provide times and following the timelines they give you. No having enough employees (drivers) to delivery the propane on time. Truck breaking down every time they are going to make your delivery. Worst company ever! been trying to get propane for the past 2 and half weeks. Everyday is a lie, everyday is a new timeline and new guarantee for the next day, until something happens and a new promise! Just calling them to have them come to remove the tanks.

Had issue with furnace shutting off.Technician got it started, recommended follow up. Spoke with Joe who was professional, and understanding when I explained the reason for my call. He scheduled 8am-12noon today. Technicians Tony and Christopher were here at 8am. Explained possible causes to me, checked everything thoroughly and fixed problem. If I had to rate based on todays experience ONLY, it is easy to give 5 stars for exceptional service. Highly recommend!

We had a terrible experience with Region Energy. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.We decided to use them for installation of central air in our home.Our salesman, Ed Snyder was rude and a liar. He made promises (installation dates) that he ultimately had no authority to do. We had to chase him down for our estimate. With that being said, it took approximately 4 weeks to schedule the installation. After finally scheduling, we’re told Region “doesn’t have time” to pick up our permit from the Township. We had to take a day off of work to pick-up the permit from the Municipal Building or the job couldn’t be started. They finally showed up to do the job on 7/24/20. They indicated it was a two-day job after we were told it was a one-day job. They worked for 3 hours (9:37 AM-12:40 PM) and left. We assumed it was for lunch however, they never came back. They were supposed to come back the following day and never showed up. No call, no nothing. After multiple calls to Region, our Installation Manager Tracey Pearson called us around noon and said the crew had an emergency and they were coming from South Jersey. Needless to say, they came back on Monday. The installation crew advised that Region sent them to do a replacement job on Saturday. I guess our job wasn’t top priority. Furthermore, the company was from the Town over and NOT South Jersey. On Monday, they indicated they were short-handed and would need two days to finish the job. They could not install a return in my kitchen due to the fact that they didn’t have a saw to cut through the tile in my master bath. We have called Region MULTIPLE times since 7/27/20, asking when they would be coming to install the last return and finish the job. Additionally, construction debris was left in our attic (sheetrock and wood). I guess the $13,000 price tag didn’t include cleaning up? The crew banged so hard in our attic they caused the screws/nails to come through the ceiling and caused my ceiling to crack.We have spoken to our Installation Manager multiple times and she tells us “it’s a battle between the managers.” What does that even mean? In addition to calling our Installation Manager, we have been calling the general number and we’re told someone would call us back. I have requested contact information for a supervisor and I’m told “they can’t give out that information.” Last week I finally spoke to a “Supervisor” who PROMISED that she would fix the situation. One week later, no call back and no resolution.Now we can’t schedule the inspection because the job isn’t done. I guess because Region has been paid, we aren’t important to them.Region Energy isn’t even worth one star.

My furnace was serviced because of parts that were in need of replacement. I called Region Energy in the afternoon, that night a technician came to do the job. I was impressed by the quick response. Yelp needs a negative stars option for companies like Region. I waited till this winter, to make sure this review was at the top as the cold weather approached. I ignored the reviews, and used region anyway, dont do what I did, trust every single bad review. We moved into a house with oil heat for the first time, and our landlord used them and filled our tank. When time came for a refill, we had a little left in the tank and didnt want to run out with the snow storm coming. They refused to fill it because they stated someone looked at the tank and it was corroded. Thats fine, got landlord, hes getting new tank, could take 2 weeks(took 3). Called region for a small fill(tank wasnt leaking). Region let me run out of oil, in the middle of winter. I would have been ok with it, honestly, but i have a wife and a 5 year old. Landlord had us call the company replacing the tank(wish i could remember who it was). They had 2 guys come out in less then an hour and look at the tank. Tank did need to be replaced, but was fine for oil, and gave us 150 gallons. Replaced the tank a few weeks later. So, keep in mind that this company is perfectly willing to let your family freeze in the middle of winter when you pick an oil company.

We had an emergency situation. Region Energy responded with 1 1/2 hours. Handled situation. Repairman (Tony) was efficient and sensitive to our situation. Region followed-up later that evening to see if everything was okay and to report on the status of the parts that were ordered. Weve been with Region for over 35 years. Only dealt with them briefly but it was terrible. They left notes on our door threatening to take our tank that WE own. When we called about it, their story kept changing and they had to dig in the archives to finally realize we did in fact own the tank. Sneaky way they try to get business so dont let them fool you! They instantly lost any business they might have had with us. We now use Advantage Propane and they are phenomenal with MUCH better prices!

Sadly I admit to being a RegionOil customer for much of the last 14 years yep, that reads YEARS. They placed their tanks in a location of their choosing and provided propane to said tanks on a regular schedule for many of those years. However, in the last several months, they apparently have decided that location is not ideal and with no written notice nor initiation of phone call to their customer, have failed to provide propane. No delivery for 6 months... let me state that again... 6 months of no service to a paying customer with RegionOil tanks on my property. They have made unplanned visits to the site for the last several months, yet still no communication. At the least opportune time, I find myself without propane (no heat and no hot water) and after several minutes on hold and two phone calls and email... they report they will take action (though Ive little faith that will happen at this point). Sorry RegionOil... big time fail on this. Service used to be good. Unfortunately I am no longer a fan and you should feel lucky to even get one star.

Had Region Oil for eight years since I moved to Rockaway. Before that my cousin had service since they were established same house. Called the other day to make payment and request oil delivery. They advised me my account was terminated. Said my credit went below the standard needed for a credit based company. This was after I had them for eight years!! And also had Meenan Security also through them. HORRIBLE WAY TO TREAT A FAITHFUL CUSTOMER . People in Rockaway Denville area always asked why to I have region oil when there are so many better options. I always said my cousin was 95 when he passed and had them forever. Had a new Burnham Boil put in and it cracked after 4 years. And still kept them with security service. Do not use this company at all. The service techs are all very nice. But the company itself does not care for faithful customers, let me go like I was nothing. Thats not how you treat a faithful customer. Spoke to New York credit office. Another thing cant speak to anyone in Dover no more, All calls routed Pennsyvania or New York.

As executor of my mother’s estate and her being an auto fill customer for decades in Denville the company refused to do a delivery to her home which is under a sales contract when oil was needed .., Region Oil is. despicable company. Stay away.

Im usually very happy with Region Oil. Ive been with them since I moved into my home in 2013. I noticed beginning this past fall that when calling in to speak with customer service, long wait times (10-15 minutes or more) to set up the contact for the new year or to handle other service issues become the new norm. Strategically, it only benefits their pocket, because customers that cant wait on the phone 20-30 minutes at a time then have service pricing set to the highest pricing option available.I pay for the additional service contact, another $495.00 a year. I missed the burner tune up last year. I was a new mom, and just didnt have time. No biggie.This year, scheduling it was terrible. The recent storms botched our first service because I lost power. I called them so the dispatch could recall their technician and to reschedule. 10 minutes later the technician arrived. Had to wait another month.Then I received a call two days before when I thought I was scheduled to call someone back regarding the appointment. They were trying to sell me extra things with the service, but also to confirm the date and time. They had the wrong time, but when I told them, they insisted it was correct. I relented, because what could I do? Rescheduled my day with a toddler for this. Then they called me back and left a message stating I had had the correct time. So I rescheduled my day again.I hang at home waiting all morning the day of the service to find, no technician is showing. When I called to ask what was wrong, they told me they had me in for a different day, that they spoke with my husband about it. I was shocked because they have no contact info for me husband and found out they had someone elses info on my account. They said that they had a computer glitch that caused data to transfer to other accounts, which is why that happened. I asked to speak with a supervisor about these issues I was having and was transferred to someone named George. George apologized profusely, and after hearing me out, told me he could reschedule for the following Friday (4/13), that if I had any issues to call him and gave me his number.Here I am, today, and no one came. I called the number George gave to me, and asked to speak with him. The person on the phone didnt know George, looked up my account, said I was scheduled for next Friday, which at this point I cannot do. I told the person that wasnt possible and to cancel the appointment entirely. Im not sure when Ill get a burner tune up now. But it seems like no one there cares.Maybe theyre hoping I dont schedule because they dont want to send someone again. God forbid they have to pay someone to come again, because you know, I can control the weather and when my power goes out.Two Friday mornings wasted waiting for this service. People giving me the run-around. Account information incorrect. No one seems to care. The company will charge you for canceling early and ending a contract, but if you receive poor customer service, or they cant keep your information straight, you cant charge them for your lost time.The only reason Im giving 1 star is for the chance that I screwed something up on my end. I know customer service is difficult, I work it every day myself. But this truly is bad.

Your company should be ashamed of how you treat customers. I called today to cancel my service because I found a better price and no longer wished to receive deliveries from this company. I kindly explained to the gentleman on the phone that I paid in full back in August when I called to cancel my budget plan and I wanted to cancel any upcoming deliveries. Of course he could not help me so someone would need to call me back. 15 minutes later I receive a return call where I explained I no longer wished to receive deliveries because I didn’t like the terms of their budget plan and their price was much higher then some others. The women kept me on the phone for another 5 minutes trying to convince me to stay with their plan and asked me again if I really wanted to cancel. I told her again your prices are higher the other companies and yes I still want to cancel my service. She said, “fine I’ll make sure your services are cancelled” then she hung up on me. BRAVO FOR GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE REGION. If someone wants to cancel just let them cancel don’t harrass them for 5 minutes trying to convince them stay and pay more money!

I have been using Region Energy of Dover NJ since March 2017.They have so far been courteous, knowledgeable and ready when I am needing service. My oil tank is consistently filled and I never have had any worries of when they are coming. This past weekend, brought me a gelled oil condition that made my boiler stop working. Getting through to them was a challenge due to the extreme cold weather which I expected. After some time of trying, I got through and they came out the next day. They were here a half hour before the arrival window. The service man was very knowledgeable and got my home back to being warm. When my contract is up, I am staying with this provider.

Absolutly Horrible. They told me that I needed a brand new oil tank. They would not service it for me. In the meantime, I found a new company that said I did NOT need a new tank. Then they had the balls to mail me an invoice for $169.95 for a service contract. When I called and said that I went with another company, because they said they wouldnt service my tank, they apologized. The next day, I receive a new bill for $242.00, as a budget for the new year.... Are you KIDDING me.... YOU WOULDNT DELIVER TO ME.....REMEMBER... TAKE YOUR INVOICE AND YOUR COMPANY, AND SHOVE IT... when I called them to complain, they said, please call us if it doesnt work out with your new company... WHEN HELL FREEZES OVER, WILL I CALL YOU.

I am a new customer so I have only limited experience but Region was the only company willing to come out when we (thought we) needed oil. Peter, the rep., answered all of my questions. The price per gallon for the ceiling plan was competitive with other local companies. The best part is the tech (Sonny) who arrived to give us an emergency delivery was so knowledgeable and showed us that the problem was with the tank line and not the amount of oil we had. We were able to get a refund of over $260 from our heating company (not Region) for an earlier emergency call. Sonny took his time to check that the gauge was working correctly and measure the amount of oil in the tank. He didn’t have to do these things; he was only there to deliver oil. Because he did this, we were able to contact the other company for a refund.

Region Oil has been fantastic is all aspects of our dealings with them. From the people in the office, to the guys who come fill the tanks and do maintenance, the staff is professional and knowledgeable. Extremely quick in delivering oil on the spot during the winter, and where many companies charge to bleed and start your system if needed, they will allow their tech. to help with this, and instruct you as well. The one draw back is the billing dept. and how the auto-delivery works. I would advise that people monitor their tank level and order when they NEED it. Otherwise you will end up buying oil that you dont need and having it sit over the warm seasons.

Terrible customer service. Was told I would receive a credit for the device plan that I never received. Employees can’t seem to understand the difference between a payment and a credit to my account. When questioned, an employee said that I was given a $240 credit towards my service agreement and my balance was $200. I said so that means the total charge for a service agreement is $440? She said, “um, yes.” The actual fee for a service agreement is $200. The $240 she quoted was my bill. This just underlines the incompetence and frustration one had to deal with with every phone call made to this company. When the credit issue was escalated to a manger she told me it would take an entire two days to listen to 2 phone calls that probably totaled twenty minutes.

Switching propane providers is a huge pain in the butt and they know it - that’s how they coast along. Avoid at all costs!!!!!

I am so disgusted with this company. I have asked multiple times for my account phone number to be updated. Every time I call they tell me the account is closed because they still havent changed the number. I have been waiting for over a month for a part to come . I scheduled a service call in November and it was for today. Now they tell me they cant make it after I took off from work.

This company needs to have everybody on their staff trained in communication... it all started over a year ago!!! We had them install a new tank... something that seemed simple enough since ya know they are an oil company and all... I was reassured many times that we would have the new tank before we ran out of oil...Well we ran out of oil before they could do the install. So they came out and set up a little emergency reserve tank with like 10 gallons (in a 55 gallon drum) now I had no problem paying for any oil we used but they tried to charge me for setting up the mini tank while waiting for them to do the install ( absolutely out of their minds) especially when in the phone I was told by one customer service rep it would be covered under my service plan that I paid for the last two years.Skip ahead a couple weeks the install is done and everything seems fine and dandy...Until Sparta township comes to inspect it and fails it for 2 separate issues ... they never poured the concrete pad for the base of the tank and they attached my oil line to the main waste line of the house... now I refused to pay any future bills until this is fixed (mind you I paid in advance in full for the install)Region finally comes back out to the house months later and fixes the waste line but the guy says it’s to much work to do the concrete pad by himself and he would need a team of guys to do... this was between fall of 2017 & spring of 2018 now let’s fast forward to winter of 2019 I still refused to pay my oil bill until the install is completed and it passes town inspection ...but they’re now threatening me to send me to collections so I say “fine i’ll Pay you BUT! Come spring I need somebody out here fixing this and pouring a concrete pad” to which they said that’s fine we can set up a 6 month payment plan (which I thought was more than fair) and my account will not be sent to collections...... well yesterday morning I get a phone call from YOU GUESSED IT... COLLECTIONS!!! Telling me I was sent to them by Region Energy ... so now I set up the same exact payment plan with collections ...JUST TO BE SAFE ....because I know nobody at Region knows how to communicate with each other or just geenerally so a good job of customer service for that matter ...I call the region credit department yesterday and make sure to cancel all of my future payments with them as to not get double charged...And then OMG YOU GUESSED IT AGAIN!!! I woke up this morning to a charge from region oil for the amount they swore up and down yesterday that they wouldn’t charge me since they made the mistake and sent me to collections!!!So I call them today they said they’re refunding my account right away and if I call my bank they can “accept the funds faster”So like an idiot I call TD bank and the lady on the phone basically laughed at me and said that’s not even a real thing! WONDERFRICKINFUL!!!!Now I want to talk to a supervisor about my tank install I want money back because you were paid to do a job (IN FULL!) that still isn’t completed properly.I don’t ever want to deal with region energy ever again and I want to hire another company to finish the concrete pad..Long story short AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!Full of lies and miscommunications and it will just end up costing you money!!!

Biggest JOKE of a company... If youre a first time customer they have to inspect your tank, they tell you to be home, give you no window, no time.. just wait they say. They charge you day of your appointment, but when they finally show up - the driver comes in and tells me they cant deliver- tank in crawl space - been there 12 years never a problem or issue. doesnt inspect - if he would he would see tank is fine -I tell him im out and have 3 little kids -Sorry POLICY - Shame on you Region - put it in your website, or let customer know. - now I need to wait 2 days for another company to come out. - customer service useless, if they cant sell you a new tank or put you on auto delivery - dont bother, they only want money.

2nd time in 2 months they shut off my propane tank when refilling stating the tank was empty and state law requires them to shut it off if they think its a leak. I only have propane for hot water (i rent and my landlord has it set up that way, why? I dont know). There was no leak and my water was still quite hot when it was shut off ... meaning there was no propane loss. Long story short. I had to wait 4 hours for an “emergency tech” to show up and turn the valve on and re-light the pilot. Rather inconvienient. Especially 2 months in a row. Also. When going to shower the following morning the water was not hot. Apparently the tech lit the pilot but did not set the t-stat . Inconvienent and now downright annoying. Cold showers on a cold winter morning are not my favorite things.

I have been with region for 4 years. Their customer service was very good at the beginning. But for the past year all the customer respresentatives have been changed and they are horrible. They dont know what they are doing andn reflect very poorly on the company.

Yesterday 02/25/19 at 7:54 PM we arrived home after a long weekend in Puerto Rico just to find out our furnace had stopped working and the temperature inside the house was 50F.Quickly we called “Region Energy” for assistance and explained that most likely we had no oil as we tried to turn the furnace back on but it would only start for a few seconds and then it would stop again. The operator told me that a tech would be onsite between 1 AM and 4 AM.My girlfriend who recently moved from PR to NJ had not taken her jacket off and was resting in the couch under two blankets and a comforter. She was freezing and could not understand how the furnace could stop running in the middle of the winter.To my surprise we received a phone call from the tech by 9:56 PM, he was already in my driveway ready to work. Once again I told him that all we needed was 5 to 10 gallons to make it until the next oil delivery which by the way was delivered today 02/26/19 by noon.Within 10 minutes by 10:06 PM we were back in business, it took another hour to reach 70F due to the outside cold weather, but we able to sleep warm.Thank you again!E MejiaLoyal “Region Energy” customer for over 15 years.

The worst service in the history of ANY type of service company. They never followup with a previous service call. Make an appointment for service and they may not show up. They never call to tell you they arent coming. Then YOU have to call to make another appointment. High oil prices, just 100% terrible.

They came out on January 3 to deliver oil. They put no oil in the tank. Because there was a problem with event. No one called me about it so I thought I had a full tank of oil Saturday night no heat 30° in the house. They explained to me what happened which really ticked me off. Because I will call that had someone come and put the van in or whatever needs to be replaced. Told me somebody would be there between eight and 12 on Sunday didn’t get anybody here until five or six Sunday night. Horrible customer Whole times were over an hour each time I’m trying to call you this morning getting nothing but a busy signal. I can’t wait to leave this company when my contract is up in March unless they give me some significant price reduction

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE . I would give ZERO STARS if possible . We have now been 1 week without heat since 1/3/18. Waiting Hour on phone waiting for a rep. Technicians don’t show when they say they will. I have 3 KIDS UNDER 4 in the house.RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.TAKING SUGGESTIONS FOR A DIFFERENT COMPANY.

I wish i could give negative 5 stars, there is literally One good employee in the entire office. the rest are completely incompetent. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR SS NUMBER OR PERSONAL INFO they came and inspected my home for propane and basically refused to do it because there tech is to lazy to walk down the stairs to fill the tanks....OK no problem i assume ill just call someone who wants the biz. but wait theirs more!!! they ran a hard inquiry on my credit weeks later after saying they wont walk down stairs to fill propane tanks. now i have to hire a lawyer to go after these people to remove this costing me alot of $. and just in case you wondering i called 4 other companies who all had no issues giving me a quote and coming out to do my service. these guys are horrible and will take your info and use it to there advantage STAY AWAY!

Below one star. 6 degrees outside on 1/7/18 at 11:00pm oil burner shuts down and we call service and wait one hour to hear we are very busy and cant send someone till between 3:30-7:30pm tomorrow.. I explain I just got out of the hospital, sorry but we are so busy,let me speak to a manager who states maybe by 8am tomorrow morning. I told him fine the pipes should all be frozen by then,my wife and I will be frozen and I will be ready to go back in the hospital.....this is why God created Attorneys........1/8/18Service Tech never showed up at 8am. Tried calling for 35 minutes straight with constant busy signal. Finally they call our house and tell us a Tech will be here sometime this morning. 43° in the house now and -2° outside...

Horrible company never use them, fraudulent billing and late fees. Disgusting customer service and dont ever have to speak to the collection department if your late on a payment. They are evil and nasty some of the most threatening and rude people in the history of business. I hope a new company with some ethics takes them over soon.
