Brought my car in for brakes, I had the parts ready to go. I dropped the car off a little past 11a. The young gentleman at the counter said he could start on it after lunch which was nice. They called me at 1:30 saying the car was done and ready for pickup, again fantastic the work was done same day. The estimate they gave was close enough to the final price.

Horrible, please stay away. Incorrectly diagnosed a problem. Charged an outrageous price. Didnt even fix the problem then is asking for double the cost to fix the problem now. Stay away.Update: Brought the car to another mechanic as we were told by this mechanic if we didnt like what they had to offer (bad craftmanship) then we can go somewhere else (horrible customer service). So we took our car to Paul at Meineke right up the street and within minutes he diagnosed the problem and told us that Strafford Tire and Battery had sold us a bad part and installed a faulty compressor! As well, he went on to explain that all of the added work that Strafford Tire and Battery said they now needed to do to fix the problem was unnecessary. Had Meineke do the job we paid Strafford to do and they did it right, professionally, and at a better price the first time. Had to fight Strafford for a refund and they only refunded part of the costs, not even the whole thing. Dont listen to their reply its all lies. Their horrible. STAY FAR FAR AWAY. Go literally anywhere else.

Today was my first time ever going here and i have to say i never write reviews but i had to write something about this place! The moment I first walked in i felt welcomed. The people are so nice and helpful and they went above and beyond to make sure my car was safe! I would recommend this place to everyone i know! I cant stop talking about how nice they were! Fantastic customer service!

I told them my car had an electrical issue that was causing the battery to drain often. I told them the issue was not with the battery itself and myself because I was told that by the numerous AAA service providers I had spoken to about the issue. I also told them the battery was only 2 years old. They told that they would look at the car and call me before doing anything to it. When they called me back they told me the battery needed to be replaced and they had already replaced it for me. I repeated to them that I knew the battery was not the issue, and even if the battery needed replacing due to the frequent draining, the root problem wouldnt be fixed and the same thing would happen to the new battery. They put my old battery back in and then charged me for the time they spent replacing it.They charged me for a service I made clear I didnt want or need in the first place. I understand charging for the diagnostic work, but the labor they spent replacing the battery was one I made clear I did not want. Because of this I was grossly overcharged. When I pointed this out they just shrugged.Ill never go back here.

Scheduled a week in advance for my car to be fixed. 7 hrs later I get the call they only completed one task. Have a recorded phone call of our pricing conversation the week prior and they tried charging me more. I have been coming here for years but seems like it is under new management. All of a sudden they wanted me to pay for parts that we agreed would be there already and wanted to reschedule . Got my car home and a smell is coming from the engine area. I cant figure it out. They guy gave me an attitude and ALSO charged me $20 extra on the NEW price we just spoke about 15 minutes prior.

What a skilled and friendly shop! I went here to get snow tires on and didnt know what the heck I was doing. The owner helped me choose tires that were the best deal and they were put on very quickly. Everyone in the shop was so nice, and I met customers in there who had been going to Strafford for 15 years -- a good sign!The day I was there it was pouring rain, and when I went to walk to get coffee, the owner insisted he give me a ride! Now thats going above and beyond for the customer.If you want excellent work done and great customer service, youve found your place!

My grandsons Ford SUV was stalling at traffic lights, another shop misdiagnosed the problem, they had it fixed in one day. # 2, I came with my grandson to help him get 4 tires & break work on a Ford SUV. Friendly, very helpful, came up with a great price gave my grandson a discount. My grandson & I are very satisfied. Well be back.

Im visiting family and I drove here from Nashville. I needed brakes and rotors on both front and back of my 2016 escape.They got my vehicle right in and it took about 3 hours. They did excellent work and their prices are competitive. I definitely recommend taking your vehicle to these guys!!!

I have brought my family vehicles here many many times with honest, fair prices and service practices every time. Locally owned with experienced mechanics. I have been here for tire repair and replacement, body work after an accident, electrical issues, inspections, minivan sliding door. Often they will take my vehicle with no appointment. They are the opposite of walmart so if you want spic and span uniformed people who upsell things you might not need, you wont find that here.

I was in an accident recently and they provided the tow. They have made an unpleasant situation much less painful!

After my terrible, terrible experience with Bobs Gulf on Central Ave in Dover, I brought my car to these guys to get a new starter installed that I supplied myself. Turns out the diagnosis from Bobs was a load of bull. The guys at Strafford quickly diagnosed and replaced the faulty ground wire. This, as I learned, is a very common point of failure in Hondas, something apparently missed by the guys @ Bobs. I got my car back on the road for 2.5 hrs of work, though it probably would have been less than half that had I let them handle the initial diagnosis. Emilio (I think, Im pretty bad with names) at Strafford caught the real issue by benchmarking the old starter and just being an all-around badass when it comes to fixing cars. Thanks to him, I can dispute the charges from Bobs and I expect to be fully reimbursed. Bring your car here first,...and dont ever believe anything you hear from Pete at Bobs Gulf on Central Ave in Dover - you cant trust him as far as you can throw him and that dude aint exactly tiny.

I would have given 5 stars before today but because of the awful experience we had I will never go back. We bought 800 dollar tires there back in april or may this yr. Awesome experience. Then noticed my light for low air would come on. After months of filling the new tire we called them and brought the truck in. We recieved an estimate for 50 bucks for them to put an air sensor in the wheel its self or get a new sensor for 90 and the labor was free because of them having put the tires on before and doing the other work. So cool. Told them to give us a few pay check days to get the money plus I been sick with heart stuff. He even called me and talked to me about it. So we call 2 wks ago and get an appt for today. My boyfriend even says to him on the phone for the 90 flat fee we were given. Says we will need to sit there and wait cause we have only truck. Guy says oh no i can give you ride home man. Ok cool. Bring it in today at 8 and boyfriend decided to stay which takes 2 hrs and then goes to pay the 90 bucks and is told its 52.50 more and that our estimate and exact amount cant be used unless we know who quoted us. Well first off he was the one who did in person and second off i dont know who called me. Tells me we have to pay it. Boyfriends freaking out cause guy said he would take it off if we didnt pay. I call talk to the guy. Told him we were told 90 and that labor was free. That i will pay it but i will be writing the bbb and never going back there again. So unsatisfying. He got pissed hung up and then took a call and threw the paid reciept at my boyfriend and said dont have time for this. Gave him keys and never called me back. What a way to run a bussiness!!!!!
