There are not a lot of grocery places with healthy options in the immediate area. This was a good choice for that. You order and pay at the kiosk. You can dine at a table, in the coffee bar, or relax in front of the fire place in a den setting. Prices are a little higher, but you are paying for convenience.

Its an elective and hip place to eat lunch. Unique in the fact as it also serves as a convenient store.

There are actually two parts to this venue: The Coffee Bar (open 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.), featuring breakfast sandwiches, pastries, coffee and smoothies, includes a cozy, relaxing area to sit and gather your thoughts for the day. The second area, open 11:00 - 7:00, is the Press Room Café with a lunch/early dinner menu featuring artisan pizzas, salads, soups, pastas and deli sandwiches. The choices are limited, but the quality is high, based on our experience. Youll order using a computer kiosk, then pick up your order when your number is called.

The food here has always been very good, wether it be a sandwich, pasta, or pizza. The kiosk ordering system seems very efficient to get the order it. The seating may be a little short for the lunch crowd. The modern design seems to work well.

Yum! Went here for lunch since I work a few blocks away. I love this place. I got the pea shoot salad and it was delicious. All my coworkers loved their sandwiches and burgers. The set up is really fun. You get your drink, candy, and extras first. Then you use the kiosk to ring up your extras and order your food. A ticket will print with your number. When your food is ready they call your number and your number turns green on the digital board. You can eat in it take it to go. I think they have an online way to order too.

This unassuming cafe is tucked next to The Detroit News building on Lafayette on the edge of downtown Detroit. There are a variety of lunch offerings as well as a coffee shop and a mix of chairs and tables. Its a good spot for getting some work done.

Stick to the pizza. They get flustered with anything else. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, waited 45 minutes, and when it was finally ready my chicken was still frozen and my vegetables cold. Cook was baffled when I showed him the food because it had just come off the grill. Likely story. Walk down the street and get food from anywhere else.

Delicious! So happy to have something like this in Detroit. Nice, clean, modern cafe with touch-screen kiosks to order yourself. Cute little market attached too with lots of healthy options. Definitely will be back.

I was staying at the Double tree hotel and this was the only option close by. I had breakfast there multiple times during my trip and I was happy with the food and their service. It a good and quick place to have breakfast and the prices are affordable as well.

I would love to give this place a better review because it’s so close to us. However, this place is just failed to impress. They’re ordering system is a little wacky I would rather speak to a person or talk to someone.That lack of interpersonal connection is part of the psychology of food. It’s not cool. Also their food is subpar. I’ve only eaten breakfast here and every single time I order a scramble Or skillet. They literally give you some toast barely posted each time. Along with that whack toast are a bunch of potatoes (not what the menu says) and a little egg on top.Not to mention I have a handicap access list and it never works for me. Someone always has to help. So the place is kind of expensive and a half so for what you get.

I always use the online ordering option. quick and easy. all I have to do is walk there and its always ready on the counter. I dont even have to speak to anyone I grab and go

Totally expected this to be a nostalgic place to have lunch. Thought there would be a little more history of the newspaper industry of Detroit. Instead this was one of the most sterile and impersonal places I have ever eaten. The interior is plain and devoid of anything to do with the location it is named after. You order everything from a touch screen. You dont interact with any people. If this is what the future holds for us its a sad sad thing.

Cool spot and unique experience. You order on a screen then another screen tells you when your food is ready for pickup. Lots of options from small bites to entrees.

Cool concept ordering with kiosk, yet the wait was extremely long at the end of the lunch rush (30 mins for a very small, very sparsely prepared $13 salad) I had approx 1oz of very dry cubed chicken, for a $3 upgrade. Cool space/decor, rest was lacking

Easy food if you work/live close buy, more of a work cafeteria than a place I would go to just eat. Food is a little pricey, but good.

Prices are very high for the little you get also the pizza its extremely thin and cant hold toppings very well the sauce is less then average and in the middle of the pizza by the time u sit down its like a puddle of soup in the middle honestly a 5 dollar hot and ready is way better and for the price you pay for one pizza here at press I can feed my entire family at little Cesars and still have money left over thats 2 hot and ready pizzas and crazy bread they do however ! have good brownies and chocolate chip banana bread

Okay coffee, TERRIBLE service. I have been here about 4-5 times and each time I had a bad customer experience. Not only did it take a long time but the barista was rude, unhelpful and obviously didnt want to make a drink for me. If I had a question, they reluctantly answered and it seemed obvious to me that I was bothering them. I have only come here because I like the walk from my work to this place but will not return based on constant poor experiences. The coffee is not even that good.

Good food, but as a non-millennial with no earbuds, it just seemed weird to order and pay for food with no human interaction. None.

Their food is okay but nothing special. I ordered a vegetarian omelette, but once I started to eat it I found pieces of bacon. They apologized and explained they use the same pan for all of their omelettes, which is stupid for obvious reasons. I was given refund but I haven’t had an omelette since due to the fact I don’t eat meat.They are overpriced and their cooks can be rude sometimes. Usually only go here as a last option for lunch since I work in this building.

Order screen was broke so I waited 25 minutes for a meal that was ready for 20 minutes, no one said anything or called out my number.

My wife likes it!! But expensive.
