The meat prices here are really high. A roast was a whopping $25.00 😱 oh no I never pay that much. I think the highest Ive ever paid in my lifetime for a roast before this time was $15 at most an thats for a meaty one with really no fat. But I went ahead an purchased the roast for $25.00 because I didnt want to go to another store. But that was absolutely too steep for my blood. I normally can get two meats for $25.00 or a $1 or $2 more. I dont know if Ill go back to Liberty again unless I have no choice to, or I have other things to buy other than meat. But buying meats from there is off limits at this time for me.

The way they treat the black employees are like they are on their plantation. The quality of vegetables and meat is horrible. However, I realize that the store owner understands this one of the closest grocery store in this area therefore people that has no transportation are obligated to shop there! Do better by our people

Deli was closed, but the lady still served a few customers from the salad/cold food without an attitude. They closed in less than 5 minutes!! Great service with a smile....

This was one my favorite store on the westside. I Love they deli, store clean and fully stocked.

Its the closest market to my home, the only thing I have had an issue with is the fruit prices and getting home and finding out my beautiful looking oranges are very much bittersweet🤨 and Ill always give it a second chance but I cant roll the dice on aa8.99 bag of oranges and have them be awful having fruit is a luxury for some of us I know it is for me so if I buy I really dont want to have it be hit or miss. I opted out of a whole watermelon because I was aware how the already cut pieces of watermelon taste 👍!!! But when I asked the price on a whole watermelon OMG and I asked are the Watermelons that have been cut the same watermelons that are being sold whole they didnt know but I could see for myself that they were much bigger than the already cut watermelons so I went with that. Dr yeah.l

Great store! Been shopping here for over 30 yrs it was my Aunts Lenora LaGarde favorite market.

I think since the pandemic this grocery store has really put their best foot forward. It seems cleaner three shelves are typically stocked. The staff is really friendly. The only reason I cant give full stars is they need to expand their meat section. Couldnt get ground pork.

The produce always looks like it should be in a dumpster instead of on a shelf with an over priced sticker attached. The smells coming from the area where meat is cut and packaged is like a sewer of rotting meat. I only go for last minute items that are prepacked by manufacturers, milk canned goods, sodas, etc. The health department should do a surprised inspection, this store takes advantage of those who are disadvantage with no transportation and on welfare.

Service is great call they check the shelves for stock they have what major grocery stores are out of tapioca flour.

Prices higher on some products they know ppl who live in the neighborhood may not have a choice but to come there. $7.00 for coffee creamer that can be purchased for $4.69 - $ 6.25 elsewhere. The staff are courteous to the customers and very patient with the elderly.

The Liberty food center is a great place to buy food the service is very nice and they have all the food u might need the doors open for u and they have got food and cold food.

They over charged my mom. She went back to the store and the cashier lied and said she purchased two packs of ham. My mother told Sam the owner the lady was not telling the truth and told him to ask the lady in the deli how many packs did she have. Sam didnt believe my mom. The deli lady confirmed she only had one pack. What type of customer service is that?! Who interrogates a elderly customer about $4. Ive called this store previously to speak to a manager and have been talked to rude and hung up on. Terrible customer service! The owner Sam and his staff are rude to their black staff also. STOP PATRONIZING THIS STORE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE PERIOD!

I stop in to pick up anything I missed during my regular shopping for me they are a great little neighborhood store in comparison to others around. I SPECIFICALLY buy my apples there. They are fresh sweet delicious.. I cant remember $$ compared to other stores though. Prob pricey but they taste better than I get from bigger popular stores.

It was a great store until they started price gouging. Because of the pandemic.

I used to consider this place a favorite because it was very convenient. However, as of lately I did receive some yucky service and it did come from management which made the situation even worse. I havent returned since. I question that I had simply out of curiosity was: In re: bottle return, why dont you accept some of the very own recyclables that you sell at your store?

If I could have selected 0 stars I would have. When you shop here you should look at the advertised price and then compare what you paid via your receipt. This store is over priced and they are cheating customers out of their money. I purchased two items that were posted at one price but scanned at a different price. When I brought this to the attention of the front line supervisor/manager/owner she punched in the correct price for my apples and then made an adjustment for the boxed rice. I advised her that since once of my items scanned wrong, she was supposed to reimburse me the difference plus more based on the scanner law. She argued and said that the posted price was the sales price and I asked her how would a customer know the difference. There was no special price tag indicating a sale/special. When I told her the price tag looked like a regular tag, she disregarded my statement. I asked her to walk me back to the item to show me that it was a sale item. Another associate walked me back to the item and acknowledged that the item was not on sale but instead didnt scan correctly. She then reluctantly gave me more money in which case Im not sure it was the proper amount. I am certain that this has happened to many people including my family members who shop there. We will not be going back and if you choose to - make sure you are paying the advertised price. I am trying to find another avenue to report what theyre doing to people here everyday all day. Its robbery!

I go there a lot and they have what i need at a reasonable price.

I just have one after the cashier check my ID with my credit card and my products were already back the manager ask to see my ID and credit card and because my married name was on one and maiden name was on the other she decided that I was fraudulent. So I took my business to Glory market in Oak Park which had much better sales and higher quality produce. Therefore I wont be going back to Liberty

This store has been standing for years. So the best time to buy food from here is when its on sale. There deals are okay but otherwise its priced higher than Krogers or Wal-Mart.

BFemale staff was VERY pleasant in ALL nationalities. But the foreign males not so much. I was standing at the deli counter placing an order and 2 separate males employees forced me out of the way with boxes to take to the back. NEVER saying excuse me or ANYTHING. VERY disappointing especially since I no longer live in that area but came to continue a business relationship. Thinking about trying out the stores in my new neighborhood after this experience.

Its a neighborhood store. The ground beef looks good on the outside but inside its mixed with older meat. On several occasions they have been out of Mothers Wheat Bread and it takes a moment to get it in. Its good for a quick pick up but I buy my meats and other items elsewhere.

If I could give this market a (-) I would. This place is horrible for the neighborhood community!! They had a sale 10 for 10 and I got 6 the store manager ask me what more do I want I have 6. What the.....I want what the sale state 10 for 10!!. I told him he has a nasty attitude and he must think that I have to spend my money in here. His attitude was whatever... so I said give me a refund for my 6 and I will spend my money somewhere else. Where the store cares about their customers and the community. ******SERIOUSLY *****

Liberty has great sales on chicken on a regular basis. When I plan to barbeque chicken, I check Liberty to see what they have on sale. Liberty has sales on other meat products too like pork chops, steaks, roasts etc. They also offer deals on other grocery items like can goods, soft drinks and a lot of your everyday stuff. The sales usually rotate so you wont find the same items on sale every week, but you can usuallly find something worthwhile to buy.

They sales was good this holiday season. They open early and close late very convenient.
