My family and I have Been coming here for a couple years but recently it was my first time being able to try there breakfast burritos and their Monday special steak a la mexicana and I am hooked. I also bought there breakfast burritos and tamales which were so affordable and packed with deliciousness. The rice and beans were A+. its now my one and only place to get flavorful and authentic food for a good price. Ive had alot of food over the years from the Mexican town area and this is one of the best. Will definitely be coming every Monday for the steak special.

I really enjoyed going to Honey Bee Market it’s been a long time since I visited Honey Bee I love the different spices and seasonings they have different meats sauce a wide variety of vegetables and fruit.

Visiting from San antonio and really wanted tamales. I would suggest NOT getting them from here. Most bland tasting tamales Ive ever had.

Ive been a customer of Honey Bee since I was in middle school, and I have been happy for their success. I am, however, slightly unhappy with the way they are doing things as of late. There used to be a better selection of Mexican candies and pan dulce. The tamales were good, but they are too salty now.

Love the selection. The customer service is good as well. I come here all the time. Most of the time I have too much fun here.

I have been going to this market for many years. I remember when it was a smaller store with a few staff members. I love seeing its growth over time. Their success is well deserved. This market carries a wide selection of products & fresh meats at reasonable prices. I love the vibe & the ambience that I experience as soon as I walk in. I love it so much, that I had to buy a t-shirt 😁👍... I highly recommend this market to anyone looking to shop, save money & have a unique experience.

Great neighborhood supermarket, super clean air-conditioned, actually one of the cleanest supermarkets I have ever been in 👍 Great Deli, large selection of lunch meats, good sandwiches, great tamales which are from Evies Tamales so they are the best in DETROIT, nice selection of meats, they also take care of many different restaurants in the city of Detroit so their meats are only the best, and they try to keep the prices down which is a hard to do In the late summer of 2021, of course they carry a great selection of breads, and can goods, and of course a nice selection of beer and wine, I am pretty sure they cash checks, but the one thing I do know, they are some of the the nicest people that run a business that is so important to Detroit and especially Southwest Detroit 👍🙂 all you have to do is walk down the aisles of Honey Bees Market and that will tell the real story 🤷 They truly care about their customers and their employees 🙂👍

Just came from Eastern Market and stopped here to get some fresh made tamales before heading to Mexican Village for lunch. Very authentic Mexican market like the ones I have been to in various cities in Mexico. Worth the trip.

9/17 @ 11am I work 12 hour shifts weekend so this place is amazing most times. Ive never had a bad experience till today. The rudest woman works in the back with the hot food (older lady, raspy voice, red shirt)I quess I irritated her because I asked for an item but was confusing it with something else. I asked for Todays Special (beef) and a cup Chicken bowl. she then starts to make plates of customers behind me who asked for same thing and handed them their plate. When she decides on mine she places the plate to the side and just randomly says thats yours. Then she reminds me about chicken bowl and literally never made it. I stood there for a moment and even the other customers where looking oddly at me as if they were expecting an attitude from me. Needless to say I walk off without chicken bowl and once i got to work I realized that she gave me chicken instead of beef like I asked.I will not ever purchase hot when she is working.

Fantastic market for tons of choices. They have homemade chips in two flavors at the front. You can also try all the salsas they make and the guacamole. There is an incredible hot sauce section not to be missed. Theyve got pinatas which are always a hit! Get it? A hit. I digress, the barbacoa is outstanding from the deli. They also gave Guernsey farms brand chocolate milk which is about the best you can get.

In addition to the skirt steak which I drove 20+ miles for, I was able to get the rest of my grocery list. I was pleasantly surprised. Also, as expected, there was a huge selection of hot sauce. The employees were super nice and the health of customers and staff was very obvious during COVID times.

First time i ever went shopping here on Bagley street. I cannot wait to go back. It is very organized & produce is FRESH! COLORCO-ORDINATED to the T. Pleasant atmosphere. Good people

Best Hispanic Market in Detroit. Great prices on meat and produce. Picking up a bag of chips and their homemade Guacamole is a must. The Chorizo is made daily and is the best ever.

Very clean grocery store with some hot food items in the back. They make their own tortilla chips and salsa, so youll want to make sure you dont miss those! Great selection of fresh tortilla and plenty of traditionally Mexican cuisine. Produce always looks fresh and tastes great.

They have a great selection, and their meat counter is awesome! I also really like that I can purchase bulk spices there. They have great products, and when we have a cook out we always come here for our favorites.

Went there for the first time last week to get some items off of Dr.Sebis nutritional list. So if youre looking for those hard to find exotic fruits, veggies, and herbs, try here. I found the tila tea, chamomile tea, cuachalalate herb for tea, tamarind, soursop juice, prickly pears, tomatillos, nopales, and chayote squash. If you visit, ask for Irene. She is one of the managers (I think). She was very kind, friendly, and helpful enough to walk me thru the store, and explain how to pronounce everything, as well as how to cook them. I went back yesterday. Good store. My only con is that the produce is a little small, and one of the other lady managers is a little cold, dont know what her problem is, but Irene is absolutely fabulous! Oh, and they have a great parking lot also.

I’ve been shopping here many years and this time around the masa on the tamales were lacking flavor and hard and dry, the pre-made guacamole was not very good either. I was very disappointed. We still have another dozen tamales and don’t even want to eat them.

Place has been pandemic conscious from onset in March, the produce selection is great (especially for tomato and avocado fans), the local selections are pretty good, their chips and salsas are amazing, and staff is awesome. They seem to take good care of employees too (I know they gave everyone paid vacation in May due to pandemic response and increase in business). Favorite place to get groceries in Detroit, would recommend to anyone looking to supplement their food needs.

The market has recently changed the chili recipe, I am not sure why considering there would be lines of patrons waiting for the chili and it would always sell out. I am giving a 1 star for the latest version of their chili, bad move.

Nice and neat. I just moved from Los Angeles and this little store reminded me of home. Came too late in the day and they were sold out of cheese tamales. They do have a small selection of vegetarian Morningstar products but they were severely overpriced. Not my one stop shop but Ill be back.

Been coming here since it was a small store. Always clean. Just wished they didnt get rid of the pico pica hot sauce. Every time my dad goes comes here (every weeked) he looks for it. Bring it back if you can!

Check your dried goods before you leave in the store. The box of pancake mix I bought yesterday was opened with the corner of the inside bag neatly snipped away. Open, used food should not be on shelves. Also, I couldnt find any eggs when I went.

First time visiting the Honey Bee today! I went specifically for fresh chorizo (made in shop!), but overall it was a really pleasant shopping experience. Produce was kept nice and shelves were stocked and organized well. The gals behind the meat counter were very kind and helpful. In particular, their Delmonico cuts looked *amazing* and Ill be back just for those. Honey Bee is on my way home and I will absolutely be back soon :)

Fresh produce every day. Excellent food bar in the back that has hot food and daily specials. Also a great selection of beer, wine, and candy. Big selection of meats, the chicken is sometimes inconsistent in freshness but nothing to call home about.

Beautiful gem of a store. Clean and safe parking lot and exterior. Inside is a travel across the Mexican border for the goods they sell. Huge fresh produce area, large meat department and tonnes of fresh tortillas. If you feel like making Mexican visit this place, youll love it.
