Good store. Great customer service. I definitely LOVE the cashiers they are very friendly. The store is clean and I will buy the meat. You do have to watch some of the sale by dates on some of the non perishable products. Other than that good store.

I HAD PROBLEMS CASHING MY CHECK AT BANKS BECAUSE I DIDNT HAVE A ACCOUNT...I DONT REALLY KNOW HOW I WOUND UP AT KING COLE FOODS. BUT THEY TOOK CARE OF ME, CASH MY CHECK, I WAS ABLE TO GO TO WORK, BARBECUE ,MOVIES. ETC .THERE PRICES ARE REASONABLE. THEY GOT SOUL FOOD TO BE COOK ALL YEAR AROUND. .

King Coles used to have a lot of outdated Foods. Their Deli selections left a lot to be desired. The owner is up for suggestions. A lot of changes have been made. I give them an E for effort. Keep trying King Coles. Youve gone from a one-star to a three. Youre in an up and coming location, with an excellent opportunity for growth. All eyes on you.

Ill start with the staff. The people on the floor and registers have always been helpful and friendly. My rating of 2 is about the quality of product sold there, in particular the fresh produce, meat and dairy. The fresh chicken seems to be an ongoing problem. Many times it is spoiled directly from the package or does not hold in the refrigerator, up to the expiration date. The produce can be iffy, as well. Somethings that are in plastic have had signs of decay, such as liquidy spinach; moldy zucchini, still at full price. Pricing can be high, unless you are shopping their specials, which usually means its food on its last leg. The same is true for dairy, like half and half. Many of the endcaps are full of close to or recently expired food. These foods are sometimes intermingled with other foods, with notice that they are still deemed fit to eat. King Cole is simply convenient, due to limited choice, in the area. There are things there that are fit to eat. The selection of seasonings and some ethnic foods has expanded. As you would anywhere, make your selections carefully (especially in the areas I mentioned) and pay close attention to those dates.

This place has good deals if you can get there in time before they run out of items. Was disappointed though when I opened my box of Faygo to learn that two of the cans had been cut open, and wasted out ☹ make sure you check any case of beverage that you buy before you leave the store! They also offer free rides home if you spend over $100 on groceries, which is a great benefit of shopping there if you dont drive or have car problems.

Descent enough I guess. Good sales, modest selection for an average size neighborhood grocery store. Good for quick shopping. I wish they wouldnt cut all their beef so thin.

Pricing is a bit higher, ok selection, works for basic grocery needs.A found a cooler with some vegan foods that Ill happily be exploring more. Needs some vegan cheeses.

The staff in this grocery store are very good at what they do. I have an ice cream man in the store that tells me the bargins on the ice cream and he lets me know about the new flavors to choose from. I love this store and the people who runs it.

I live in Texas now, but I frequented King Cole quite a bit when I lived there. My favorite is the bargain area as soon as you enter the store ..its on the right. The cashiers were friendly. And I use to get their turkey tails.

This grocery store is located on Clarimount and Woodward. I was raking leaves and needed some leaf bags and this store is the neighborhood grocery store so I called and asked if they had leaf bags and lo and behold they had leaf bags! Normally grocery stores dont have stuff like this, and you would have to go to Home Depot, etc for this item. I was very surprised that they had them and for a cheaper price than the specialty stores and the brand that they carried is a brand that Meijers would have. I also picked up a few other items and the prices arent high as some other stores.

I dont have anything negative to say. Prices are decent, very clean for a neighborhood store. Clean parking lot.

Its a cool place to go some items I save on and others I dont the females cashiers are always Pleasant and if the owner sees the line gets backed up we will come out and help get you out. But that Aldis Im not down playing you I will always come in I dont want to leave my pic because you will know who I am

Potatoes we got had a lot of dry rot. Sometimes, the meat isnt good. The ground sirloin had a lot of gray water in it! Some of their meat is good, some of it isnt. Workers seem friendly and prices are OK.

The meat i bought looked scary, had greenish tint on bottom. Potatoes had black spots. Cans were dirty and rusty. Not a quality store for anything perishible. Ok for processed old stuff cheap. Crowded, but people were nice and felt safe. Not the worst store around but far from Kroger

They have nice sales sometimes. Its really the only time you should shop there. They are extremely overpriced on a regular basis. And always check the dates in everything!! This place is notorious for selling out of date items.

The meat counter smells in there they dont bleach the area down at night or clean it should be sanitized in there or call the health department back there do not eat their meat thats already cooked the chicken this so-called deli is not clean go check it out..

I went to return a box Jiffy cornbread the box that I open and a bunch of little bugs in it after I poured the milk in I want to get a couple of bags and I came back and all the bugs floated to the top I had but two boxes so the other box I took back to the store the owner of the store after I told him about the one box of Jiffy you came from behind the counter and he pushed me and told me to get the hell out of his store then he pushed me again I turned around and I walked out of his store to call the police I waited for the police to come from 5 in the evening until their store close this happened on a Sunday so they close early on Sunday about 6:30 the police never came the next morning I called the police again and reported the incident the police did take the report from me and they gave me a report number there was a detective assigned to it but the detective never get back in touch with me so I called her she told me that she was trying to catch the owner because I guess there was some type of deception going on about who owned the store thats the last I heard Im still waiting for him to be arrested for putting his hands on me he had no right to touch me Im very disturbed about that again Im 64 going on 65 years old I live in this neighborhood Ive been here for 20 years he just came besides that I was so having so many problems would be able to even go in the store I paid him $300 cash just so they would leave me alone when I come into the store to shop to get groceries he took the money I guess he was just trying to get some more money out of me I like to finish this with Ive been very naive I wanted to bring this to the public especially to the people that live in my neighborhood where the store is he needs to be held accountable for his actions thank you

I have some good deals but avoid their fresh meats I bought hamburger meat, chicken breast and pork chops. Michigan rest or spoiled hamburger meat with on the edge of spoiled I end up throwing away the chicken breasts and a hamburger meat

I cant say King Cole Foods is different from any other grocery market, but Ive purchased so many items therefrom:Nabisco Cream Of Wheat (the one-minute kind); jumbo eggs; Salad Express (the expiration date isnt always far away); Pioneer Sugar; Kool-Aid; Banquet Sausage; Bob Evans Sausage (maple-flavored); liquid coffee creamers by both International Delight and Nestle Coffee-mate; Kraft and Sargento cheeses; Ragu Spaghetti Sauce (7-Herb Tomato, the best for me!); Muellers Angel Hair Pasta (I prefer capellini); Contadina Tomato Paste; Del Monte Diced Tomatoes (with basil and oregano); and Riceland Long Grain Rice.Thereve been more, but I cant remember everything. To each his/her own, correct?Theres no organic section, just so you know. I hope all this helps.
