Waited 15 minutes at the floral department after promised help. Had to call the store manager and threaten to call Grand Rapids to get prompt help. A young man from Electronics who was THE BEST and then Security hounded him twice while he was helping us. The store looks great but they need to develop loyalty with their employees so they are Not under staffed. I will avoid this Meijer store in the future and I would call Corporate except the Electronic guy was the Best.

When the store first opened, its was wonderful. I was so pleased that finally Detroit had an affordable, major grocery chain. Today, I saw something that I noticed the last time I was there. Although there is a dispenser for antiseptic wipes, the dispenser was empty. I asked an employee, who is a greeter, about the dispenser being empty. Her response was short, rude and somewhat hostile. She said people take 10 at a time. I told her that maybe the manager was unaware of the dispenser was empty. She said he is aware, and theres nothing she can do about it. I have two problems. I feel that the dispenser should be kept filled, due to the filthiness of the carts, and the germs that are passed on to customers. Secondly, greeters should be friendlier. We can and should do better. Customers should be treated like customers. Not an imposition.

Clean, well lit, and great prices on gas, cash or credit. No getting stiffed with an extra 6 cents a gallon or whatever. Good variety of snacks too!

Great prices and clean station. Theres always a Detroit PD squad car parked out front but frankly Ive never felt unsafe here. There have been carjackings at gas stations on 7 mile last fall, but with any place, be aware of your surroundings.

I really love the addition of this store to the neighborhood which Ive been a long time resident of. The staff is very friendly and hard working but when the check out lines are backed up they need to bring in temporary cashiers. Every time I shop the lines are terribly long with only 4 out of 25 open. I dont have a problem using the self scan lanes, which are as equally backed up, but I honor the fact that I have more than 12 items in my cart.

This is a pilot store, its not a real store!They focus on food which is nice but the layout of the isles suck.The parking lot is weird too. the large bus terminal in the center makes you circle around then cut in front of on coming traffic just to pull into the parking lot.Also IT CLOSES!!This is the first in history to close other than on xmas!

Nice bright, clean and large store. Layout is different, but I liked it better than other stores. Checkout was fast and efficient.

The prices are greatI can find really great deals on getting stuff for my great granddaughterI just bought her a beautiful blouse blue and gray with silver checkered styleShe loved it asked me to buy her another one was marked down from $16 to $4.77 4 dollars , I also like the name brand shoes expressly Skechers I can use to pay full price for one and get the other one dollar

Cleanest gas station on 8 Mile Rd., and they always have a window squeegy.

This store is neat, clean, and well lit. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Please, keep up the good work!

There were 3 pumps out of order on my last visit, otherwise it is quite nice and has everything one would expect from a gas station.

1.) NO ONE and I do mean absolutely NO ONE at any transactional station is trained. I tried to use the paper meijer credit card they give you to use before they send your real one, and the cashier couldnt figure out how to ring it out.2.) Besides not being trained, just cross your fingers and hope you dont get in line behind someone the cashier knows or you will wait for a while...3.) The pharmacy couldnt figure out my insurance. I have HAP HMO - not the most obscure insurance ever... not to mention they had rushed me out the night before without telling me there were insurance issuesConclusion: Facepalm x infinity.

The younger employees need to learn customer service skills but the place was clean and organized

The Detroit Meijer store is a lot better than the Royal Oak or Warren Meijer.The produce,bakery, meat selection are fresher at the Detroit store,and the store is cleaner.

Everyone is always so friendly and the quality of produce and meat is always satisfactory!

Store reminds me of a prettier looking walmart. Customer service is subpar or bad and its always a mad house in there. Their selection isnt that good either. I only go there because I live in Detroit and its the only option, I look forward to moving back to the suburbs.

COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT! WAITED FOR OVER 40 MINATES FOR SOME ONE TO CHANGE THE BOTTLE RETURNS. Called the customer service desk the lady there had the worst attitude

I like thats its open before I go to church on Sunday so I can do some in and out shopping. But the prices are outrageous and I bought a pack of meijer brand chicken breast and it had freezer burn on it. I was saddened and disappointed.

Horrible place filled with ignorance people were cutting in front of me asked where milk might be and a guy told me an aisle half the stuff didnt work including the doors give it another year or so itll be closed noir will I ever return
