Bigger HF than my local one, which is nice. It was organized and clean, however there never seem to be enough registers open at any HF stores anywhere. The lines were constantly long.

I love shopping Harbor Freight! Both local stores. The prices are great, stores are neat, clean, organized and the staff have always been friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The warranty is crazy easy to deal with and with the prices as reasonable as they are I will NEVER get another tool truck hand tool again.

Nice selection of tools and other accessories at low prices. I love to buy paint supplies and saw blades here. The quality is just as good as anywhere else but at 1/3 the price.

I shop at The Urbandale store the Person that helped me was KIMBERLYI have to have an oxygen concentrator she put the machine in a cart for me and upon check out she helped me out to my car and put the machine and purchases in my car . you have a great employee LET HER KNOW!

Great prices and good tools and many other items...

They had adequate staff which typically you do not see in a retail store. Because I live 35 miles away from the store I called to see if they have the tool 1st. The young lady was very helpful. She located the tool and held it at the front registers for me to do a very quick and easy pickup.

Had a ton of tools & gadgets. But there was too much it was all cluttered up with lots of aisle bins.

Pretty standard Harbor Freight! Some tools are awesome name brand replacements like their paint brushes, hand tools, and floor jacks, and there are some tools that everyone stays away from. Not always enough people available to make checking out fast, but its what I expect going to a discount tool store.

Pretty good, lots of shoppers. There were two checkers and when I finally got to one, the lady seemed more interested in helping the guy checker. I dont she actually ever looked directly at me. But that is petty. I found what I wanted, and paid for it and left. Pretty quick overall

Went in for a multimeter and a fine tip for my soldering iron. If there are replacement tips, they arent near the soldering irons. Picked up a cheap soldering pen instead, as it already had a fine tip on it.

First time going to a harbor freight and I was sweating when I was paying I was thinking theres no way all this stuff is only like 350 (my limit) but somehow it was now lets see if it lasts

Decent store good selections heres my issue they dont close until 8:00 and I was there at 7:45 and the doors are already locked as they were standing there looking at me. Seen me pulling in the parking lot and shut and locked the door as I was walking up thats ridiculous

Went to go buy a generator it was quick and easy in and out in about 15 minutes and the place was pretty packed

Dont ever count out Harbor Freight because they always have what you need have you cant find it someone will definitely help you very nice people

I love the ease and price but since they rearranged the store its less friendly. I had 5 interactions with employees an old man 2 a skinny white dude and the guy cutting signs. The old man was unfriendly to myself and my wifey. The big white dude was super cool we talked about rottweilers. The manager guy never spoke to me and the cashier had his head on straight. Its kinda a mixed bag in here. Also love baamgaars on 14 and grimes.Sorry left this off the gereatric man I spoke to was unable to help my gf multiple times and was rude to her. Not sure why her grace dixnt appeal to his business mind. Shes a nurse at a derm clinic and they 😍 her after just a few months now. I am glad to have her in my life and we may go to the Southside instead of 2 min from our house.

I don’t normally write reviews, but MAN, we were taken care of today! Went in really disappointed with broken solar panels and were able to exchange them- no problem. Our cashier, Emily was a pure delight, informative, professional, and she took her time with us, even though there were other customers. Really loving the improvements at the South Side location... I’d drive across the state to be served like that again. Very pleased.Also the manager, Theresa... amazing. Her leadership beam from her, her associates respect her, she trusts her employees to take care of the customer. The store was clean, organized, and well constructed.Thank you for taking care of us today- we really appreciate the excellent service, kind smiles, and awesome store.

Dont catch the register when theyre busy, theyre easily flustered.

Directions were great however, despite being there in 10 mins as promised, cashier up front sold generator to another guy by asking if my name was his! Instead of him volunteering it. Brad, District Manager saved the day & did a GREAT job helping us out!!

Quick visit to pick up some trailer tires. Had what I needed on the shelf. Product was a bit dirty, but in good/new condition. Checkout took longer than expected as I had not been to this store before. They wanted all my personal data to enter in to their system. Friendly staff. Overall good experience.

This is an older remodeled store... Nothing fancy. The person I spoke with on the phone gave me accurate info. The customer service was helpful. Our checkout person (male) was extremely nice and friendly!

I like coming here....just make sure you bring a list LOL. Its far too easy to impulse shop. Have had some of their tools for over 20 years and still working great. Some stuff is competitive with name brands, others is lower quality throwaway but still at a cheap enough price. Have to choose what you need. This location is bright & well lit, very clean and organized! And bathrooms are clean too!

Had the tools I needed at a good price

Best place in town if you want cheap backup tools for your box. Or if you need a tool to use once or twice....now there are tools thatll last long like Ive had an earthquake half inch impact for over 3 years now and that thing hasnt missed a beat. Its no snap on but it holds up with brands like kobalt for sure. For professional tool users, ie mechanics and carpenters be selective about which tools u buy...like stay away from th torque wrench thats 11.99 lol but I buy Pittsburgh as my 3rd back up.

They generally have what I need and at a much lower price than name brand stuff. Any tool Ive ever purchased here Ive not yet had to replace so while less expensive it seems like the overall quality is enough to do the jobs I need. I always save $ here.

We enjoy shopping at this store! The merchandise is useful, interesting, and reasonably priced.

Friendly service and well organized. It was easy to find everything and surprisingly cheap compared to most other hardware stores like it. My grandpa loved the c clamps he got and I even had extra for a gift card for him for next time.

Harbor freight gives you good tools for great prices.The fact that they have a store is Des Moines mean you can save on shipping charges.They have this coupon system which I find annoying, just give us the price of the coupon without all this hassle..Anyway, check before you buy for a coupon.

This place is an acquired taste. Pretty basic store with all kinds of random items in addition to tools; but one really can get decent enough tools (with warranty) for way less then competition. Interesting employees & quite the variety of shoppers.

Harbor freight is the best.Thanks for having just about every thing that we all need. With this strong bad weather we had they dont have D batteries but was told that this Wednesday they Will have a truck delivery due :-)

Great staffWaiting on tool chest that was ordered in December .

First time shopping here. Had bought a Chicago electric circular and rotary saw. The circular saw stopped working properly in the first hour doing simple cross cutting 2 x 4s. The guard would stay up because it was getting hung up on part of the top of the saw. Didnt feel comfortable using it after this. The rotary saw would not cut subflooring at all. The guy told me when i bought these items that if I wasnt satisfied to bring them back. I returned the circular saw because it stopped working properly. And also returned the rotary saw because it didnt meet my expectations for the job at hand. They earn and 5 star review and i will definitely try their tools again when they have a need as they stood behind what they sell and that meant more to me than the tools needing to be returned. They have so many tools i know they will have what im looking for again. I have my eye on a mitre saw and a compressor so Ill be back soon actually.

Store always has great sales and coupons. You dont have to worry about them running out of items on sale because they usually stock plenty. Prices are far lower than other stores and merchandise is of good quality.

Easy to find a parking spot. Store is clean and well organized. My go to place for value priced tools and supplies for DIY and small business projects.

Got into woodworking some months ago but needed some tools to start out as well as some inexpensive home repair items. Found a decent assortment of bar clamps also ended up buying a random orbit sander that has held up better than I could have imagined. Good products, great people.

Love shopping here. Read review on metal detector wand and was all good. Took a bit to find but all good and ready to start finding nails to reclaim wood.

They had just what I wanted at a low price. The quality was good which made it a great value. I found what I needed quickly and checked out just as fast.

If you are buying tools do your research. Harbor freight is good for those who need tools for ocassional use. I wouldnt buy a here if my tools were tied to my livelyhood. For personal use youll only find a better deal by buying used.
