Last Friday, I visited this shop, and I got a wonderful experience. The beers and champagne were very good and fantastic. Besides, their place was very good to visit, for it was clean, not crowded, and comfortable. Also, I left bringing a bottle of wine that I bought in their shop. Thank you so much. Closed very often at random times. Staff always on their phones and extremely rude. There will be a group of 4 employees talking behind the counter as Im trying to purchase a beer about half the time I go. Will be going to safeway where they are actually open when they say they are and respectful. Good spot to get most liquor... when theyre freaking open.

Love this place! They have great wine options and saff is very knowledgeable about their selections. The stylish guy that wears the scarf is fantastic and is always super helpful!

Store has a great selection and its convenient for those who live in the area, but some of the staffs attitudes really do suck... Youre in a service industry... It baffles me how its a big or miss with the staff here (being helpful/being a basic friendly human being vs being rude and acting like you actually dont want to be working there).

Great store! Professional staff!They card, because it is the law. It does not matter how many times they see your face, or how well you think they should know you, based on how many times a day or week you frequent the store.They could lose their liquor license, and they dont discriminate. They ask everyone.You know they are going to ask for your ID, so bring it. Stop making a big federal case out of it, or go somewhere else.They have enough customers that appreciate the awesome service that they provide to the community. They dont need your negative self serving attitude.BRING YOUR ID!

Love having Uptown Wines in the neighborhood!! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of their product. They have a fantastic selection of beer and are always happy to recommend new and different wine. They also offer a free wine tasting on Friday and Saturday, which is always good in my book! If youre in the neighborhood and need somewhere to get your alcohol fix, this is the place!!

I love this place. All of the staff are wonderful and really knowledgable. The selection is not big, but they have all the best things. If you want some cheap stuff in a plastic bottle, this is not the place to shop. If you want some nicer hard liquor, some local beers, or some wine at basically any price point, youve found the right place.

I dont understand the negative reviews. Bring your ID. Your convenience isnt more important to them as business owners than doing their legal duty. Everyone who works here has been awesome and respectful to me and my girlfriend. Just bring your ID, because its a liquor store and they need to check.

This store is amazing! I love that the staff provides a friendly, comfortable and well educated experience in all things Wine, Beer & Spirits (and they now have a small selection of meats and cheeses, which makes my little Wino heart flutter!). That being said, as a fellow regular to the store for the last 2+ years, I am a little confused by the negative reviews. Asking for proof of legal age to drink is required by the state of Colorado (and literally everywhere else), which is also advertised before entering and prior to purchasing at this location. So to be baffled at the fact that someone who cares about the livelihood of their business and would prioritize following the law over acknowledging your ego, is quite frankly absurd.The owners, Dave and Kent, have gifted Uptown over the years with a fantastic shopping experience and an incredible staff. Don, Robbie, Wiley and Colin are some of the most attentive, caring and knowledgeable customer service professionals that I have ever come into contact with. I am so thankful to have such a reliable and trustworthy business in my community.

One individual not so friendly every time I come in. Live in the area and dread going in when he works. Ill post him name name next rating. Many who live in the area have the same issue. Were waiting for an attitude change; if not, all of us will give a not so good rating. Other than that, great selection, and all other staff is friendly.

This place is great! Im here all the time and the guys that work here are all so sweet and the shop is set up very well, I can make a beeline straight for my favorite bottle from the door!

I have dropped by numerous times to grab beer and/or wine. The guys here are very professional and always have solid recommendations. The shop is efficiently laid out and offers a fairly robust selection.

Nice local spot for a quick shopping trip. Not a huge selection but the staff was knowledgeable and helped me find good wine for the evening.

As with other reviews, the staff is pretty ridiculous. Ive not been carded before here (no big deal as I definitely look old enough) until tonight. My wife came in with me, we are recently married and she had her Colorado paper ID from her recent name change. You would think some sort of intelligence would be used in the situation but instead the staff decides we look like we are under 21 and trying to pull one over on him. We are both mid-30s, didnt even get carded at dinner beforehand, have the same name, same year DOB, her middle name now was her last name previously, but yet we get no common sense. Theres a sign on the door that they card everyone, great, good for you. Except, if I was trying to pull one over on you and I was of age and she wasnt, wouldnt I just have her stay outside and I just buy the wine? It literally makes 0 sense that she would come inside and show her paper ID or that she would carry around a voided ID, that he said she needed. Its just sad they dont hire people with common sense to work at their store and they will now lose local business because of it.

As mentioned in other reviews the attitude of 1/2 staff is bafflingly rude. For a local establishment youd think the relationships built with the locals would be at the for front of their business ethos but unfortunately not.Its the second time Ive been treated rudely and was even told to shop else where if I didnt like being asked for ID after my harmless comment you dont remember me yet? Blown away by the attitude and have never been treated with such unprofesionalism in all my years as a patron around the world or Denver. Something is inherently off about the attitude. Maybe the business is sinking or they just dont want to be there but I know I dont and wont be there again.A. Local
