D Bar has been one of my favorite and most coveted spots in town since they first opened originally on 17th. Since they expanded (years ago) to include a full restaurant and more, it’s an adventure every time we visit! Brunches, tea, dinner or dessert… always incredible. My favorite visits are when we get to sit at the pastry bar and watch these incredibly skilled and creative chefs make astonishing desserts right in front of us! Highly recommend for a date night, bringing guests from out of town or anytime you want to treat yourself!

Our group of girls had an amazing experience here for a bachelorette party tea time! We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was not too crowded. Service was a bit slow but tea time is leisurely anyway. The tea snacks (sweet and savory) were great! The desserts were of course exceptional considering they are D Bars specialty and the scones were some of the best Ive had. The tea I felt was average but it was nice to have several options and get our own pots. They were also good about providing cream and sugar and water refills. For $35 per person we felt it was really worth it and we even had enough leftovers for breakfast!

D Bar has friendly staff and good atmosphere; I sat at the dessert bar. Came here 9pm on a weeknight during Denver Restaurant Week.Chicken satay is tender, juicy, and not too burnt. Wish the peanut sauce has a stronger profile. The burger was below expectations: medium rare not medium, soggy lettuce and bottom bun, and unevenly seasoned so I had a very strong hit of black pepper in the center. Not sure if they normally serve this, but they had a pinapple-avocado-lime dish that was served between entree and dessert, made for a great palate cleanser. Pleasant surprise of the night. The desserts are impeccable: 3-layer chocolate cake and raspberry milkshake. The cake has structure but remains moist and fluffy, normally Id expect a cake like this to either be very dense or falls apart. Chocolate frosting was not overly sweet so I didnt feel overwhelmed. Raspberry shake had the perfect sour note to go with the rich cake.

We had a nice dinner and drinks. Our drinks made our night out a pricey endeavor. My peanut butter and chocolate martini. It was ok. My hubby got an old fashion that he loved made with Laws. So we all ordered different items- the steak and frites, dbar burger and the waffle chicken sliders. Everyone enjoyed their meal.. my hubby wished there was more steak, but it was perfectly made. The chicken waffle slider was good but i wished it had more seasoning. But the dessert was great. The cake and shake was a great topper to the meal.

My husband and I are visiting from out of town and had heard good things about this restaurant so we decided to have dinner and dessert here one night. Let me tell you we were not disappointed! I had the pizza salad sandwich and my husband had the Belgian waffle chicken sandwich, both of which were so filling, as well as delicious! I selected the molten lava cake thingy for my dessert. The presentation was beautiful and the taste even better! While my husband and I were waiting for our dessert we even got to meet the owner and pastry chef Keegan. He recommended we try one of the new desserts they had just put on the menu that day, and even sent one to our table free of charge, which was so kind of him. My husband and I even agreed that we liked the dessert he recommended even more than the one we initially got! We really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place that offers exceptional dinner and dessert options!

Also, Baileys grilled chicken bowl is great as is the blackened salmon (also pictures). The food and drinks were great as always. I went to ask the girl at the dessert counter if the dinner bill we just paid $80 could be added to the loyalty program. I forgot to ask my waiter since my significant other paid with his card and we thought of it as we were buying desserts to go. At first, she seemed polite and said she’d look into it. She took down my name, number, and receipt number. However, I’m writing this review because after she said she would look into it, she slammed the paper down and acted like we were inconveniencing her. I know restaurants are short staffed, but it’s not an excuse for rude customer service especially when we asked politely in the first place.

Food and service was excellent. However, I highly object to the surcharge on the bill for a living wage and wont be returning until this practice is discontinued. Companies need to pay a good wage and factor that into the price of their goods or services. Putting a surcharge to call your customers attention to it is juvenile and a bad business practice.

While the corner of Pennsylvania and 19th felt very wintery this morning, the butter my biscuits appetizer warmed our spirits at D Bar for brunch! Four petite flaky buttermilk biscuits were served with a small side of country sausage gravy, butter, and strawberry jam. It was a perfect starter!Steve and I shared a large french press; that is the closest they offer to regular drip coffee. The bloody marys had a very nice kick as well!Although a little disappointed not to see anything with hollandaise on the menu, as we were craving benedicts, we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food we ordered.Steve enjoyed the breakfast burrito. He found the green chili to be packed with flavor, and the eggs still had a good amount of substance. I tried the sandwich and soup combo. I chose the sandwich with bacon, avocado, cheddar and tomato with a side of tomato soup. Our server, Heather, recommended to add an egg cooked over easy to the sandwich, and I did not turn her down. She must have known the secret to my heart: just add an egg on top.The ambiance was the perfect balance between coziness and cosmopolitan. Although we have purchased cakes from D Bar in the past, I had never dined there. I highly recommend it!

D-Bar is a new-age staple of Denver, it’s been here as long as I can remember back to at least early 2009 I had just stared high school, I’m 26 now. It’s always been upscale, delicious and just special enough with its twist on classic staples. While it dressers are obviously the stars of the feast , they also have scrumptious comfort food specials like the lobster Mac and cheese. It’s been a long time favorite as I was shown the wonders of Denver along with this place! The Shake n’Cake is was way to decadent so prepare yourself and bring friends! The perfect end to a night.During the COVID times they’ve been face mask and little contact compliment. They also have a patio in an area with a bunch of restaurant patios so it’s the only spot to dine right now.Campfire is right next door and also sooo worth the dine on the outside patio. It was Christmas Eve when we came by this time and Hallelujah Jesus Christ, they made the evening with the Ginger Bread themed cheesecake, hot cocoa with a hand toasted marshmallow, edible cookie dough & the once a season jelly cookie. Anna shared that it was her favorite dessert and only cake around once a ye at, she was super sweet and got us everything we need to enjoy the night , including Togo silver ware. It’s to die for! The desserts are just too good. A must check out.I will say that on a personal preference I wouldn’t get the cookie dough again, as it doesn’t have the texture down, but still sweet and yummy.

One of my favorite places in Denver! Their afternoon tea cannot be beat! Arranged a birthday dinner for friends here recently. The food & service were good. The only bug in the entire experience, was when I preordered the cake. I was asked if I would like to add a gratuity for the cake artist. I tried to decline, but felt quite pressured to say yes. Even if a tip is customary, which I feel this situation isnt, it shouldnt be paid prior to receiving the service. After all, a tip is a bonus based on exceeded expectations; if you havent eaten or even seen the cake yet, you can hardly have had your expectations exceeded. I will be returning on my next Denver trip in February, to enjoy the food, but will not be ordering a cake here again.

I was overall unimpressed with their sliders, meat was juicy but overall a little bland. Frys were great but they use organic ketchup (if thats not your thing). Service was slow and our server wasnt up to date with desert menu. He didnt remember the 6pack price or flavors of the macaroons or bonbons and then forgot to let me know after asking him to find out. The macaroons were about the size of a quarter - super tiny. they tasted how they should, but their flavors were very subtle and I would love to try more if they werent so expensive for such a small cookie. We didnt end up getting bonbons - even though I had planned on it. It was a fun brunch but really nothing special.

I gave this 3 stars because Ive eaten here before and had a great experience. But, June 25th was a 180 from that dining experience. As you can see from my photos, DBar makes some great dishes, but that doesnt make up for a very bad dining experience.I dont think the kitchen at D Bar can handle Monday all night happy hour as our dinner was 3hours long with about 30 min between bites and dinner and 20 min wait for dessert. What made this meal particularly sad was the fact that the evening was to celebrate a birthday and instead turned into the staff doing a lot of apologizing without making it better. As an example, there were 6 adults and one toddler. Getting a side dish of chicken for the toddler took 25min. One the adults got his dinner item 20 min before the rest of us were served. These were brought to the attention of the server who brought it to the attention of the manager, who apologized for the kitchen being backed up. He then went to the kitchen to check the progress, but not before telling me he would take care of that dinner as the person wasnt going to eat until we were all served. (unfortunately, the item was not removed from our bill)When our dinner dishes finally arrived, the med. burger was well done and a special request dinner was not delivered. These too were brought to the attention of the manager. In addition to the unsatisfactory dishes, each dish was delivered one at a time (keeping in mind one of us received his dish 20 min ahead of the rest of us) making it impossible for all of us to eat a warm meal at the same time.On top of the delays and mess ups was the way the manager offered to make it right by offering to buy our desserts (in addition to offering to comp one of this dishes), we still were charged for all our meals and one of the 4 desserts (keeping in mind that one of those was the birthday dessert that most restaurants comp). We, not by choice, were the last table to leave on Monday night. As we paid our bill and started to leave our server apologized once more and told us we can do better...the irony wasnt lost on me.

On the 7th of august my wife and I decided to celebrate her birthday at the DBar for the 1st time. what an unpleasant experience we both had. I didnt expect it since the rest of the reviews made this place seem like it was top of the chain. To start our night, we waited 13 min for someone to simply just bring us water and thats too say it wasnt even our waiter. Another long wait and we still havent gotten asked if we would like drinks or Apps. It wasnt until the host who seated us, Made eye contact and realized we hadnt even been given water yet. Then we waited about 15 min until I had to wave down a random waiter to call our waiter. He asked how they looked and we replied that we havent even met them yet. He then proceeds to tell the bar lady, who comes with such a bad attitude and tells my wife and I what is going on. we are shocked because we havent even been properly waited on once since we got there in the last 30 minutes. We just wanted to order our meal and she made it seem, as if we are a bother to her! At this point my wife is aleady feeling discouraged about her birthday celebration. The only plus was the food came out tasty! By the end we never met our designated waiter, we were constantly waving someone down for any kind of order placing.we were just fed up! we didnt even stay to try dessert, and this is what theyre known for. Not only was the service awful but then then we have to waive someone down to get our check. Someone drops it off, The check comes out to about $80, great were happy to pay. Someone else picks it up (at this point we have 5 different people come to our table) and then re-drops off the paid receipt, which they ran my card for an additional $34! Im so irritated at this point I ask for the manager. Manager couldnt do anything for me but to run the card again for the right amount and cancel the already ran amount for $116 , therefore I end up with $200 pending transaction until it falls off. If my wife didnt notice the difference in the ran receipt we wouldnt left paying the additional money without realizing! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. Unless you want bad services and looking to be scammed of your money!!

Great food and drinks! Came here for dinner on a recommendation and did not regret it. Staff suggested one of the specials to me, a short rib dish with roasted vegetables, both were executed perfectly. Reasonably priced as well, if Im back in Denver, I would definitely come here again.

Great vibe, awesome dessert options ( including warm milk and cookies!!) Visited this year again, and tried four different desserts. Creme brulee remains my personal favorite.

We came here on a Sunday evening at approximately 5:30 PM. There is a parking Garage which is right next to Jill’s restaurant and it is free parking for about two hours. TheRestaurant itself is kind of upscale but with a very casual vibe. I would definitely recommend this as a restaurant for a very casual couples dinner date. Since we came during the happy hour we ordered some nibbles. We got the crue fries, A slider and bacon mac & cheese. I also ordered the T-bar margarita which was pretty good. The only thing that you ordered from the main course was the berry and Camembert salad, To which I added the grill salmon. We unfortunately didn’t have time to try out the desserts in the house but did take an order off the beignets to go.Overall the food was delicious and the preceding quantity for the price. I just feel like the music was a little bit too loud for this setting. I would definitely recommend this for a new couple is looking for a whole weekend before dinner or dessert.

This place has an amazing ambience, its very spacious and is great for groups as well as for a date! Went for late night dessert and place was buzzing with people. Very yummy desserts, especially the chocolate souffle which was very light and not too sweet!
