If I could give less, I would. Down the street are some great lunch/dinner options. On 3 separate occasions Ive walked in after grabbing lunch and been the only person in there. After a minute someone will tell me to give them a minute. I wait 5 minutes without anyone taking an order or even coming to the front. All I want is a cupcake or cookie. Nope. Never happens. Its almost a funny bit at this point. Wish I could tell you about their baking skills. Order ahead I guess. This aint a quick dessert spot

Really disapointed with their service, they didnt make my order. I call in advance to custom some cupcakes for my boyfriends birthday, I wrote an email with the flavors and pictures so they have an idea of what I wanted, I even sent different kinds of cupcakes designs and told them to choose which one was easier for them depending of the bakery style.I was super excited all week because it was a surprise gift, I got off work earlier so I can pick them up to found up that my order didnt exist. They told me probably a new employee put a diferent date for the pick up, I show the email and designs and confirmation email from them.An important day was ruined, they just told me to pick the cupcakes they had there which is not a solution for something youve planned in advance. I just had regular cupcakes instead of the pirate ones I wanted.With this review I just want to express how me and other people feel when they planned a special celebration, the dedication to choose YOU and get a bad service, I really had a bad time, so sad and disapointed. luckily Im creative and get to fix them.

We got their cookies. The oatmeal one was just good, my spouse says the sea-salt chocolate chip was perfection.

I used Happy Bakeshop for my wedding at the end of the August, and it was one of the best decisions I could have made for my big day! They were truly a pleasure to work with, and the desserts were incredible. I will continue to go here for all of my special occasions in the future, and I would highly recommend them for all of your event dessert needs.

I have been here three times now for three separate special occasions. The first being my sisters 30th birthday/gender reveal for her new baby, second being the baby shower & third was this past weekend for her 31st birthday cake. The cakes are delicious and beautiful! I am definitely a long-term customer now! Only negative comment I will make is the baby shower cake had a large air bubble on the top causing it to crack. My sisters bestie was a pastry chef at the 4seasons and she said it happened because the cake was frosted while it was still warm, thankfully she was able to repair it.

I love HBS. Their macrons are to die for; they’re crunchy but chewy and soft and filled to perfection. I’ve had Nutella, birthday cake, lemon and chocolate. Also the vegan oatmeal PB bars are amazing. I just had a cupcake and was shocked to see the reviews about dense cake. Pumpkin cupcake late in the day- still moist and great. I also ordered my cousin a vegan cookie cake for her birthday and asked for a custom design and it turned out flawless and she loved it.

I love this little shop. I cant say enough great things about this place. Dont come as frequently as I used to because I live too far away now but Im always thrilled with the selection.

What a great little bakery here on 32nd. Its got so many sweet treats, its hard to know where to begin. I grabbed a piece of coffee cake and the wife, an amazing miracle bar. We took both delectable treats and looked for the first coffee shop!

Yum yum yum! Stopped by today right before close and all the goodies I picked up were amazing quality. The cupcakes were perfect size and so delicious. The snickerdoodle and red velvet cupcake was a fav! Sugar cookie also amazing! Will definitely be back to pick up for an upcoming event or birthday!

If I could give them 0 stars this would be too generous. They took my custom order, made me pay and then didn’t make the order. They were rude when we arrived to pick up the order. They couldn’t find it as the didn’t make it and called the bakers to ask about it. The clerk then said we never ordered. She was shown the emails of the order, the email I sent confirming the order and the email receipt sent from the bakery showing I was charged $100. She said it was fake and impossible as they don’t charge in advance. We then showed her the CC charge that corresponded with the email receipt then she suddenly found the order they never made. After waiting almost an hour she said to come back in another hour. They slapped some icing on stale cookies and pulled some old cupcakes from the case and voile yoila your custom order of old stuff is now ready after 2 hours of waiting. If you want old, stale, poor quality, dry product delivered not on time and with horrible customers service after taking your money in advance then this bakery will fulfill all your needs. If you want your order on time, as ordered, fresh and for a special event then you should chose any place but here.......

What a fantastic little bakery! There are so many sweet treats to it, its hard to know where to start. I picked a slice of coffee cake and my friend, a wonderful miracle cup. We both had delicious treats and checked out the first coffee shop!

We had Happy Bakeshop do put wedding and grooms cake. Everything was delicious- our guests kept asking for seconds! We got a vegan chocolate cake with vanilla icing for our main cake and a non vegan chocolate on chocolate for the grooms cake. Most people preferred the vegan option. We couldnt be happier with our experience!

The best local cupcake shop I’ve ever been to! They have plenty of options, and the yummiest cupcakes I’ve had! The staff is always very friendly as well.

This place has a great product but I am very displeased that I showed up 20 minutes before their posted closing time (posted on google, website, and their business door) and the door was locked and someone was cleaning up and didnt even look up or say a thing. If you are going to have a posted closing time then you should be open until that time.

The cake is dry and hard. It was for my birthday and i was trying to support local spots but the cake is completely inedible. Very disappointing

I could have made what they gave me. This cake belongs on Nailed It. The decorations were nothing like the quality on their website. I did not ask for lumps of poo. I got lumps of poo. I explained my idea to every single person I spoke to, in addition to pictures. How much communication is enough? It was honestly embarrassing having to serve this cake. It tasted 3 days old, was extremely dense, and had so little filling I couldnt find any in my piece. If you cant do what is requested, then just tell me so I can get the flavors id prefer at a different place. Instead, you gave me poo for my birthday. Very unhappy.

Excellent cupcakes. Not cheap, but high quality. First time in today picked up a dozen cupcakes, upgraded one of them to the cinnamon roll which raised the price. Total was about ~ $43 before tip.whole family loved them. Pretty fun treat.

Dont waste your time or money! This shop has no care to give. Im not sure how the pictures on here are so nice. What I recieved was of no comparison to that which is displayed. They will lie and say they can. But they cannot. This cake makes me sad beyond words. What was supposed to be a celebration will now consist of mourning. Thanks.

Went for macarons. Very disappointed. Less than mediocre. I don’t know if they were super stale, like a week old, or poorly prepared, but they were crunchy, practically like eating a chip when you bite in, and the flavor was not great.

Complete waste of money! Extremely unprofessional. Embarrassing to serve and nearly inedible. Will never go here again. Im so disappointed in the lack of communication from the staff. I wish I could say something positive.

Macarons tasted old and they charge $2.20 per macaron when their google menu states $1.75 each. Even if they were $1.75 its extremely overpriced for the quality. The vanilla macaron filling literally tasted like funfetti. Please update your Google menu but unfortunately I dont think Id be back.

I wanted to try some bakeries around Denver before I went home, I bought a banana split cupcake and a coconut dream, not sure that is the right name but it has coconut, Graham crackers and butterscotch. The cupcake was a moist nothing, no flavor, I just spit it out and threw it in the trash and was scared to try the bar but it was actually good. The girl working there told me it was sweeter then the snickerdoodle cupcake but maybe they forgot to add the sugar.

I used their online service to order a birthday cake, they didn’t bother to call me, just sent me an email saying cannot do this which doesn’t sit well. I think it deserves at least a phone call to decline my order. Now I need to find an emergency vegan cake for my daughter’s birthday.

Not only are the cupcakes great here but the cookies and macaroons as well! It’s always a treat for us to go into Happy Bakeshop (no pun intended).

Love this cupcake shop. They are delicious and super cute. We ordered our wedding cupcakes here, just for fun cupcakes and lots of jumbo and mini cupcakes and cookies for birthdays over the last six years. They even offer a gluten free vegan cupcake which has been excellent for our family.

I bought a dozen of the minis for a friend and we ate several together. Since they are minis I cant attest to the large cupcakes. But I feel that either they should have a dot of frosting in the center of the cake OR have cake that is more moist and makes you want to eat it up. The minis do not, maybe the large ones do?We were both very underimpressed with the flavors. The chocolate frosting tasted like it was from a box, the snickerdoodle wasnt complex or moist. There was a cherry cola one that was trying not to be gross, but couldnt help itself but to be gross. The only cake component that was good was the carrot cake, but the cream cheese frosting was too thick for the cake itself. I am giving it 2 to be generous because I am so sad that I cannot find a place in Denver that I can go to for consistently good breads, cakes and desserts. Really it deserves a 1 because we didnt really enjoy them and its cupcakes for Gods sakes. What I am saying is for $21 + tip for a dozen, nothing special at all, cupcakes, is really silly, and I wont be back.

We hired Happy Bakeshop to make cookies and a small cake for our wedding, and we were so happy with what they put together! We looked around at a few different bakeries, but Happy Bakeshop not only offered really great cookies, but were really helpful with putting all of our dessert for our special day together. Everyone loved the cookies and were a big hit at the wedding!

Went in the afternoon and there wasnt a very big selection, but got a vanilla cupcake and it was amazing! I normally go to the location in CO which normally has a better selection at all times of day. Still good though!

The worse customer service !!! Place the order , confirmed that will be done as requested and at the time of pick up the order was 100% wrong. The excuse I got is that they were out of product and they just did it the way they want it ...on the other hand,she offered me the topping I requested on the side ( so they have it) 😬😬😬🤭🤭🤭...never got an apology , but definitely got charged full price together with her comment ...asking me what do I want her to do !!! I definitely suggest to maybe get a different job ...will perhaps help the business...since was the same person who took my order originally and she ensured me that everything will be perfect !Thanks for ruining my 3 years old son birthday...you “rock”.

Ive only been here once but I will definitely be going back. The cookies are simple but yummy. I also tried the raspberry passion fruit cupcake which was spectacular! They have other sweets to choose from as well.

Went to this super friendly bakery for a coffee and cinnamon roll! :) great service, full of energetic young people there! Love the vibe. Cool little bakery to hangout in the morning. We were there today & bought 3 cupcakes - Snickerdoodle, Pear & Pumpkin Bourbon. The guy who waited on us was nice. Took our cupcakes home & they were such a disappointment. The flavors were decent, but they were hard as a rock, not moist whatsoever, & had the consistency of dry muffins instead of light & fluffy cupcakes

So happy I found this place. I came here to get some cupcakes for my husbands birthday and was surprised they had gluten free and vegan options! I got a chocolate caramel and snickerdoodle one for my husband and a gluten free vanilla one for me and they were all awesome! Oh and of course we had to get the pup a cupcake. He thought his was delicious too!

Very cute store. Went to check out the gluten free baked goods we read about online, but they only had one option (Snicker doodle) to pick from and it was dry. I got a sugar cookie that was really pretty. Just wished it tasted as good as it looked.

If I could give this shop a 0 star I would. I went in and asked for vegan cupcakes and there were some sitting in front on the self. The employee working a male said that I had to call and place an order but when I called they said I could just come in they make them daily. A female told me that this morning and he said well he is telling me something different. He refused to give me the cupcakes even though they were on the shelf. and when I asked for the owners name and number he told me no he couldn’t tell and to Effin leave. So whoever this owner is your male employee screwed you over because I will NEVER come here and will never recommend it ever! Your female employee on the phone was great but this male just cost you a lot of business. I was tasting to see which flavor to order 2 dozen for my sons birthday. I’m going elsewhere.

Some frosting flavors tasted nice and had a good balance and the others were lackluster or weird. The cakes were dry though it was the end of the day. I want to try fresher ones however I have experience in the cupcake industry and vegan cupcakes should stay more moist even out all day. I will give it another try all though I thought the woman helping me was less than happy to answer my questions and seemed off-putting. Again, and of Day and maybe it was a hard one but lets try a little more.

Delicious cupcakes. Had a wonderful client send us two dozen cakes and they were amazing. Highly recommend. Cant wait to visit the shop in person and try the rest of their menu! As a plus we have gluten intolerant staff and the gluten free cakes were equally divine.

We ordered mini-cupcakes in 4 delicious flavors for our recent wedding. I was impressed right away by the stores friendly atmosphere and willingness to give some samples for those interested in wedding catering. Great cupcakes!! Made up our minds right away to go with Happy Bakeshop. We also got a pretty wire stand from Happy Bakeshop that was very reasonably priced for rental--overall Im very happy with the quality of service and options. They included a pretty notecard with description of flavors, too. The mini-cupcakes were absolutely delicious and our guests LOVED them. We had only a few left (about a dozen) and they all got eaten the next day by our families....still delicious- and not one left. My favorite flavor was the Black and White.

I come here often for business caterings. I can say the cupcakes are good but they are not amazing. I thought they were amazing until I tried the German bakery in old Arvada. My standards have gone up for cupcakes! Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Its a pain to find parking so hopefully you are not walking far with a bunch of cupcakes!

Definitely not a Happy Bakeshop. Very sad. We had awful customer service experience. My wife and I attempted several times to order cupcakes for our wedding. They have tasty cupcakes, but I would recommend taking your business elsewhere if you plan on ordering for an event. Below are my reasons why they failed at customer service.First attempt, we walked in to order the cupcakes and cake with an employee at the register, but was told that we can not place the order in store. We would have to contact their wedding coordinator via email or phone. We immediately left a voicemail and email. No response.Second attempt, I called the main phone line (not to be confused with the wedding coordinator phone number) a WEEK LATER to verify if their coordinator received our order request. The employee told me that they are between coordinators, but they will make sure they respond to our request. TWO DAYS later, we received a response via email, however, the cupcakes are up-charged because it was for a wedding. The PRICE DIFFERENCE was $100. Our order was not a custom order, but from the menu provided on their website. The price per cupcake was $4.00 compared to the $3.25 on their menu. It may not seem much, but the price stacks up when you are ordering several quantities. Of course, the coordinator did not respond to our concern about the price difference.Due to the significant price difference, we decided to call ahead to stop by the shop to share our concern. We asked the cashier about the price difference and she responded that there is an extra charge for customizing the cupcakes. We reiterated that this order was from their usual menu. Nothing is being altered from their everyday cupcake. She agreed that the price should not differ. We asked if we can place the order with her since their coordinator fails to respond. She took our order on a form with our credit card information and told us we would later receive a call within 48 hours to confirm the order and new qoute.Third attempt, as you may guess, 7 DAYS passed and no one did not get back to us on the new quote. We decided to stop in again to see why there was no response. We asked the employee on the status of our order, but they could not find our order form that was filled out during previous visit. The excuse that we received is the owner sometimes takes the orders with her. They said she would call her and get back to us ASAP.The employee called my wife back to confirm they have found the order (apparently the form was the wrong color paper). Over the phone, we were quoted $210 for the full order. We agreed to the price with excitement and all. Our long battle of ordering cupcakes was finally over with, so we thought...That same evening, we received an email from the owner with the official price quote and of course the prices differed again. We were quoted $70 more than we were told over the phone. Frustrated with this business, we decided to cancel the orders entirety.If you want outstanding cupcakes with excellent customer service, I recommend ordering from Goldmine Cupcakes in Golden instead. They were able to accommodate for us with a week notice (thanks to Happy Bakeshop). Definitely try their Blue Moon cupcakes. Delicious!

Their cupcakes often taste a little stale so I have to ding them a star for that. But their cupcakes still taste incredible and everyone is always very polite. I used these cupcakes for my wedding and it was awesome.

Tipping system is way too high for the customer service that is provided. Lowest option was $6 and I have no idea why my dad tipped even that. For being “happy” it sure was depressing in there 03/29. Employees were like robots, cold and fake, seemed like it was the last place they wanted to be. Didn’t make us feel any better. Also they should get an enclosed display case, cupcakes not good by the end of the day. Snickerdoodle frosting literally tasted like cardboard. Also think their recipes changed, for sure the cherry coke one, not as good of cupcakes as I remembered. Overpriced and mediocre. Will not return.If you want good cake, I suggest Nothing Bundt Cakes where employees are warm and friendly and where the cake and frosting is super soft and delicious.

I am also sooo jealous of Denver locals who get to enjoy daily happy hour, those lucky ducks!!I cross my fingers for shipping logistics to be sorted someday so I may have Happy Bakeshop deliver to me out of state! Hands down the best cupcakes in Denver. Be prepared for unusual flavor combinations along with the tried and true basics. When ever I visit Denver I always make a special trip to get my favorite chocolate cupcake with vanilla butter cream frosting.

First, the cupcakes at Happy Bakeshop are FANTASTIC! Absolutely loved them and the guests at our wedding loved them as well, we got so many compliments. However, we did have a few hiccups along the way that prevent me from being able to give them the 5 star review the cupcakes alone absolutely deserve. We booked them for our wedding date and sent in a check for the deposit. I saw the check cleared from my bank and thought nothing of it. But a few months later when I called to confirm the flavors we wanted, we were told a payment was never made. Thankfully, I was able to send them confirmation from my bank that they deposited the check and we were set to go. But then I got a call a few days before my wedding claiming the final payment was never made. Due to the issue with the check for the first payment, we called to make the final payment. I had to insist they look again because I knew we had paid it and they did find it. Finally, I *know* they told me that they would deliver AND set up the cupcakes at our venue. We even paid an extra fee for this. When I got to the venue on our wedding day, I was told by the coordinator that the cupcakes were dropped off but they refused to set them up. Thankfully, our coordinator was willing to set up the cupcakes even though they typically dont so it ended up not being a huge deal. Ultimately, everything turned out fine and the cupcakes are delicious but it did add extra stress to my wedding planning while working with Happy Bakeshop.

I’ve had their salted caramel cupcake before and loved it so I ordered a lemon raspberry cake for a birthday and I honestly had made a more flavorful version of the same cake from home the year before. The cake was dry and the buttercream was too much and over dominating on the little 4” cake. Not to mention there was barely any raspberry preserves in it. For $43 I expect the cake to taste better than what I can make from a box mix at home. Not to mention the online ordering portal never sent them my order and when I tried to call to confirm they never returned my call and the service wasn’t impressive when I called back the next day. If you want a custom cake, go to another small business.

The French toast cupcake was spot-on...just delicious. The chocolate caramel...not as good. I agree the cake itself was a bit dry, but I would return. Friendly service.

Not my favorite type of bakery - lots of fake colors, sprinkles, and cutesy things. I prefer more natural homemade baked goods. I would have loved it as a little girl though.

Wow, we came in looking for cookies. They were out. 20 mind before closing, so understandable. We tried their cupcakes. Holy-moly were those cupcakes delicious! Only gripe we have is the customer service felt like hurry up so we can leave. But we get it, especially on a Saturday. Hope to come back!

5 stars for the scrumptious cupcakes- cherry cola and bananas foster, oh my! -2 stars for the service. We were greeted with awkward silence even after asking the woman at the counter how she was. She seemed extremely inconvenienced by our presence in general and wasnt too pleased to have to answer our questions or (god forbid!) fill a box of cupcakes for us. She definitely took the happy out of the Happy Bakeshop. We managed to get a pleasent farewell out of her after a generous tip (she couldve gotten a lot more though). We decided in the car on the way home that we wouldnt come back if they werent the best cupcakes ever. They were darn tasty, but I dont know if theyre sweet enough to makeup for the sour attitude.

We visited last night. We were disappointed with the cupcake and the service. Cake too dry and tasteless. Frosting was ok but loaded with sugar. They keep the cupcakes sitting out my guess all day. Dont wonder they dry out. The service - not welcoming or happy at all. I thought that if your surrounded by cupcakes youll be happy - second time that this is not the case.

The staff was extremely helpful in understanding my order request and very straight forward in the entire process (time, delivery, price). They always answered the phone and catered to my needs exquisitely.

Every time I come here it seems to get worse and worse. Ive never experienced bad customer service, unlike some of the other reviewers. But the cupcakes just arent that great and are overpriced. Its fine if youre in the area but dont go out of your way.

You get what you pay for and what I got was awesome cupcakes. Lots of sweet options here.

Not delicious at all. Was very disappointed. Cupcake texture was as if theyd beaten the batter too long. Spongy and dry. Subpar. And why do they leave the cupcakes sitting out instead of keeping them fresh in a case? Will go to Gigis next time!

Very bad experience—birthday cake gone wrong. Called owner / manager to inform that cake was not put into order correctly and wife was sick from the product—her birthday cake make her sick mind you—and got to deal with uppity self-entitled spirit that embodies this place. No refund and no partial credit in return. No cake remake. Just a jumbo cupcake that could be remade, sorry—after spending close to $40 on a small cake with $5 ingredients, youd hope for better service. Again, I shouldve known better granted the location, a local myself to the 32nd area, local businesses there are just stay at home moms with nothing better to do than pretend to operate a business.Poor customer experience from a cake that was not made correctly by order and made the customer, sick. Not a great way to spend a birthday, you think?

I was extremely disappointed with happy bakeshop. I special ordered a 4” smash cake for my son’s first birthday photo shoot. I found the example cake ON THEIR WEBSITE and ordered the “exact same cake” except when I picked it up it was a terrible attempt at the cake, it looked terrible not like the example at all. Unfortunately it was minutes before the photo shoot so I just had to take it, I didn’t know what to do, besides I didn’t see the point in freaking out to the cashier who was just ringing me up. Aside from the decorating being awful compared to what I ordered, you would expect a $45 4” cake to at least be palatable. I could have made a better cake from a box of Betty Crocker. It wasn’t even like a cake, it was the consistency and look of an over done muffin. It was awful. What kind of cake is a burnt muffin?! It was supposed to be a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting. Im embarrassed that I even paid for it and left. The employees seemed very nice and helpful when ordering, that is the only reason I am even giving 2 stars, but what good is that when the final product was a disappointing poor attempt at a birthday cake. I will not be returning! And honestly I wish I could get a refund! This was not money well spent.

I ordered a 4 inch chocolate cake with caramel ganache inside and cream cheese frosting on the outside. The cake is very very moist and somewhat dense but not too dense. The caramel ganache inside was so delicious and the cream cheese frosting was good as well. All in all, it wasnt too sweet, just perfect. The only problem I have and did not rate it 5 stars is because I ordered a chocolate cake and it did not taste anything like chocolate. They put too much coffee that it definitely over powered the chocolate. Everyone at the party had a slice and not one person said it tastes like chocolate and thought it was a coffee cake. I hate coffee cake..so I was really disappointed it tasted like coffee cake. Next time I order a cake, I will ask them to not to put it in there or at least put a teaspoon instead.

Dozen cupcakes for a birthday party, including the GF banana, and they were delicious. Thanks Happy Bakeshop!
