Really nice staff!I was super disheartened by the prices- I saw a single MCM chair for over $500.I understand the price increase due to gentrification- but from a store that is supposed to cater to low income/ people in need?Maybe I got the wrong message and the restore is a fundraiser? I was under the impression that I would be able to afford the items in the store as someone who is low income

Great inventory at this location but it used to be so cool and weird and grungy and u could find the most obscure treasures—not anymore. Now , it’s just slick. Super slick. And overpriced. Extremely overpriced. They must have gotten new way way upper management because you can tell they don’t go out in the field and actually bother to understand who wants to shop there.

Awesome! Thanks to the employees of Habitat ReStore, including Susan, Heather, Jonathan and those whose names I cannot remember (sorry).Im on a Very limited income and have seen some real gems for sale at ReStore but this time I took a leap and bought a gorgeous little desk in great condition. I didnt understand all the things I was expected to be responsible for (taking pictures, forgot to measure my desk) and the online app, dolly was uncooperative and way overpriced. Susan helped me over the phone with those things and then I figured out a nightstand I had also bought was never going to fit and between Heather, Susan and a few other staff, got that refunded without worry. This was the first piece of quality furniture Ive ever bought, and I had some anxiety about it but everything was fine.If you are interested in discounted materials to make your home more comfortable, first bring your measurements, a measuring tape, And a camera. You might be really surprised at what you find. And the staff are really really nice. Thanks, guys!!

Garbage staff. Extremely rude. I dont know if they were doing community service or not but very extremely rude. stepped on my shoes as if I wasnt moving fast enough. Had a cart full of heavy supplies moving through the store and a community service volunteer straight up stepped on top of my shoe and pinched my heel as if I did her a disservice to shop there. Thank you very much, Wont come back. You just lost a loyal habitat for humanity customer in me. Goodbye.

Ive been a dedicated shopper since they first opened their doors and have watched the rio grande location grow and adapt throughout the years into what it is now, which is why I wont ever be back. They have lost their way I think, greed is the downfall of most non profits and habitat is no different. I went in and found a wood lock display with a broken surface mounted slide bolt on it that was more damaged than functional. Hello nmsunly wanted he wood display. The guy at the counter looked over the item (which had no price on it) and acted like he found the items price on his computer screen (this lock was ancient and broken and in the 16 years Ive been a locksmith Ive never seen anything similar to it) so I knew he was full of it. He called it 20.00... I just about fell over. 20.00 for a broken lock attached to a small post?!?! Give me a break! At the Littleton or wheat ridge store the most I would be charged for something like that is $5. I just walked out and couldnt believe what I had just been through. The owner responded below stating the lock is supposedly worth over 300.00?? Id really like to know how his manager found that out with no identifying markings on the lock its self and for the simple fact that it was broken....you know I have a broken down 69 Ford Mustang convertible in my front driveway thats worth 50,000 if it were in pristine condition with no Miles on it but unfortunately because its a dilapidated broken pos and its only worth its weight in scrap. Treat your customers fairly and with the understanding that youre selling donated items. If youre going to directly respond to a comment. Make sure you know what youre talking about too. I would very much like to see where they pulled a $300 value on said item.

Over the last few year,I have literally spent 10s of thousands of dollars, mostly on vintage, MCM, not new items, that needed a lot of TLC to introduce into the home.It was also an exciting time to visit the ReStore locations around Denver (Denver, WheatRidge, Littleton) as you could absolutely not predict what youd come across...it was true thrill seeking shopping. As of now, I can speak for the Denver Restore, theyre inundated with Safievh, Article, and Joybird Corporate Donations. Most are recognized by the Red tag vs the other color labels they use. Its always been generally understood and policy that price reductions take place at X intervals; it differs based on the tag..perhaps it was one week for white tag, two weeks for red tags, etc.As you enter the store these days, youll find predominately new furniture that was donated by a Corporate entity and labeled with red tags. Many also have the printout from said manufacture attached with the retail price (which is often never what you pay when you account for 1) a minimum 10% off coupon that pops up when visiting the site, 2) no sales tax (dependent on vendor), 3) additional promotions, free shipping and 4) the items are BRAND NEW...with a warranty, not assembled by Restore employees, sat on by who knows how many, and if they have the imperfections seen on many items at present in the Denver Restore Inventory; theyd immediately be replaced with New items.Check the dates of when the labels are printed (and lack of price reductions based on policy). I see new labels printed for the same price, sometimes higher, and the old label removed in order to prevent the price dropping. For example when I return a week or two later to see what the dropped price is.Generally, there was a tag on bottom, and depending on how long it resided in store, you could see 1,2,3,4 or more markdown stickers on top (with dates). The new mantra of referencing internet prices for brand new items is frustrating, clearly different from the items they are selling (and receiving for free), and while it is important to not give things away. Its suppose to be a store that as their company slogan and core values states we will Save your business or clients the hassle and expense of disposing at a landfill..Since 2015, prices have doubled, tripled, quadrupled or risen exponentially to what they were, well beyond inflation, or market rate pricing. Even for furniture pieces which are old, broken, have the potential to be great--but requires hours, many hours, of restoration to bring back to their former glory.I use to know all the staff by name, visited almost daily or at least three times a week, provided Restore a significant revenue stream for the things purchased. The staff seemed friendlier, interested in the mission, and now I dont recognize any of the staff, the store is now closed more frequently (unrelated to COVID), closes SUPER EARLY (4:30PM) compared to when it use to close. Some days, there would be nothing, some days there would be a mind boggling amount of things I had vision for. Now theres a steady stream of overpriced goods that make me hesitant to shop there and when I look at the price tags for things; not new things. There so far apart from what Id pay and what other discount stores are selling things for. Its not even worth the purchase.Im looking forward to (without doubt) that Restore will return to what it was. A TOTAL mixed bag. Some things were pricier, but affordable, some were cheap, some were a treasure find. Now thats not the case and theres little incentive to shop here...which greatly saddens me as I loved the hunt, loved that the money I spent went back to helping build housing for those underserved. Restore Restore ! Please!

Recently requested to donate furniture as I had great experiences in Illinois and have even volunteered. Most furniture is less than 2 years old with a few MINOR blemishes. The woman that called to walk through our donations was not only rude about our furniture, but patronizing and acted as if she and ReStore was too good for our furniture. Also, she was arguing about the size of a 4ft desk through a picture when we had exact mesurements. I would not suggest this site for donating furniture as they are looking for brand new and the customer service is horrible. Do NOT pay the $15 nonrefundable fee. The woman that we spoke with is not a good representation for a great organization.

This place is amazing for any do it yourselfer. Some times you may find what youre looking for, but most of the time, youll find 20 other things that you didnt yet know you needed. The prices are always cheap, and I really appreciate the veterans discount (10%). I have mixed feelings about this restore. On one hand, there is a great selection, and you are benefiting a good cause and reducing waste by shopping there. On the other hand, I bought a couch there in June and it broke within the first week. I called the store and was on hold for 20 min. I tried to email to which they replied to call the store. Great store and awesome customer service. Not the type of place to bring your children though! I understand they get swamped at times when the donation line is down the street but they gotta be thorough with some of the stuff people try to donate. My 10 year old daughter found a vibrator in one of the tool boxes in the tool section. Thankfully I didn’t have to have the talk with her because her mom is a messy role model and leaves hers out all the time too. But c’mon guys pay attention back there!

Excellent place to volunteer regardless of if you need Community service hours or just want to help out. I volunteer with the truck drivers to go around and pick the stuff up that most buy in the store as its more enjoyable for me and it definitely makes their day easier. Its an 8 hour shift and I do it on my days off occasionally. I volunteered today after not having done so in the last year in a half. Luckily the driver i rode around with the last time i volunteered still works there. Justin is an awesome guy to ride with and help out.I know most volunteers only do so because they are obligated to do so but I do recommend doing it afterwards as well.I hope to be back and volunteer more often! Also the selection of items they have does vary but I have seen some absolute gems of items there for a pretty cheap price, plus all the proceeds go to an excellent organization! Thanks for having me today!
