I ordered take out and the hostess was rude to me because I didnt know I was supposed to order from a waitress and not her. Then when my food came out I said oh, coffee comes with this. Can I get one with half and half?. I was then charged for the coffee and an extra 4% credit card fee. I was told the coffee was not for take out orders. I could have gotten Starbucks for less. Bad experience and I wont be coming back. First and last time.
It was OK I wasnt impressed when anything I ate except for the French fries we we ordered various things in my party everybody said their raps were delicious I ordered a grilled cheese Because I thought how could you mess that up and yet they managed to do that. But that was just me apparently the wraps a very delicious so with the chicken nuggets up my grandsons ordered . It was my 1st time eating there so I wasnt sure what to order to order.
The 1st time we went was on a weekend and it was great! The service was great, food was great. Second time was a Wednesday, there were fruit flies all over. They were getting into our food, in the sauce for our wings, fell in our drinks. They were everywhere! I mentioned it to the waitress and she said , oh, I guess its because people keep opening and closing the door,. It was a nightmare. Made it so uncomfortable to eat. And had me questioning the cleanliness of the place. I even mentioned it to the cashier after I paid, and she seemed to not care at all! I was surprised because we had such a good experience a couple days before, but wont be going back.
The service is great the food is delicious they currently have a really interesting fall menu. I had a very simple breakfast burrito and it was absolutely delicious. Would recommend and would definitely return.
It’s the third time I called to place an order and their phone has been busy for over 45 minutes. The first time It happened I went over and I told them about their phone being busy. They noticed it had been left off the hook. This happens quite frequently. The manager should definitely make sure that their phone is working at all times. Good food, great service, bad management.
The food here is amazing. My wife tried the apple pie stuffed waffles and I had the French toast, and it grilled cheese with bacon and tomato. Everything was excellent. Including the staff.
Food was delicious and service was quick and friendly! Ray was an awesome and kind waiter! Get the hot chocolate, my girlfriend got it and let me try it, definitely getting my own next time!
Just received my order. It wasnt edible. The eggs benedict was horrible. Eggs overcooked. The home fries or whatever that side was was disgusting. The ham that comes with the eggs Benedict had a bad taste to it like it was going bad. Oh and they dont put hollandaise sauce on top. Waste of money. Will not order again or recommend. Gave 2 stars cause they got my coffee right.
Diner breakfast. Hostess was very personable in seating and when taking payment. Wait staff was business only. Took the order, brought the order, left the bill...Food was good. Eggs were good, bacon crisp, toast cold butter not melted.

Great service and house-made corn beef hash! Pancakes are fantastic (pretty sure the batter is actual cake batter) and they even deep fry bacon if you like it extra crispy.It can be pretty busy weekend/holiday mornings, but food comes out so quickly that you are never waiting long for a table.
I love this diner - great food and service. But gave it one star because I do not like having a surcharge added to the bill if you use a credit card (less for cash). Its like gas station pricing.

Excellent breakfast and lunch offerings. Omelettes are nice and big, the coffee is always flowing, and items are reasonably priced. Seating is first come, first serve. We enjoy the corned beef hash and ABC omelette.

I have been going to this diner for years but unfortunately the manager with the short blonde hair has made never want to come back to this diner . She was disgustingly rude and should not work in management. If this is the type of managers that this diner has I rather never go back and would not recommend it to anyone.

The first time I tried this diner I wasnt impressed but it wasnt horrible. Met a friend there a second time for dinner. Our server had a difficult time for some reason taking our order. He didnt seem to understand what we were saying. The food arrived and both meals were incorrect. When we finally caught his attention, all he said was I wrote it right, and tried to walk away.We returned the one meal and did not reorder it. The meal that was kept was tasteless. We had to track down our server to get our check to leave.We wont be going back.

We were 5 people who just came from a funeral and wanted a quick bite. I believe it was called farmer salad lettuce wasnt fresh very little chicken in salad. Everything else was good except for a drink vodka and cranberry was very very weak. Waitress responded this isnt a bar. Not in the mood to argue at that time.

Two meals ordered. First was the Yankee Pot Roast special and second was the Broiled Salmon with rice. The salmon and the beef were outstanding to perfection. The accompaniments included soups and side dishes. Rice was very ordinary and the soups were like out of a can. Coffee was fine. Service was very average and prices were pricey

Food was great, and they give you enough for a few meals at home. Service was good, he was professional and helpful. The only thing that bothered me was even though the tables were wiped clean in between services, they werent cleaned well. At least not in the booths to the right. EVERYTHING else was gone but that just bothered me.
Our meals were good, standard diner food but the waitress was stressed with waiting a packed house due to being understaffed - let those server out there know you appreciate them.

Awesome waitor RAY, Food not good. French fries dry and heated a few times too much. Bread was burnt not lightly toasted. Cooks should learn to cook or not work there.

1st time/long time eating in over 30+ years going there.Although ownership has changed w/i the same family, the owners/serving staff have always been welcoming, professional & friendly regardless of gender/age.We had the waffle/ham and pancakes/sausage - waffle/ham won out today in the breakfast taste test...will return as normal.
Oooofa!! After a long time away, decided to give Olympic Diner another shot. In this day and age, for a restaurant to survive, everything must be 100%. Cleanliness ✔, Food quality (incorrect order given 3X, cooks obviously didnt understand what soft eggs meant nor what American cheese is, 3rd time - eggs look like they just dropped out of the shell), I was too embarrassed to send back. Server Ashlin was excellent and I felt aweful putting her through all the meal send backs.Never once did a manager come over to apologize for the repeateded errors.Value (none) Extremely EXPENSIVE. You cant argue that a diners food expenses have increased to warrant this exuberant amount of menu price increase. Eggs are eggs, Cheese is cheese and Bread is bread.If I were a restaurant owner I would do everything in my power to lure a customer back in, not chase them away. Search other Diners in the area, Cant Teach An Old Dog New Tricks. (Pic is 2nd burned omelette when advised to be soft eggs)

I have always enjoyed the Olympic Diners food and atmosphere. I wish Missouri had a place like this. We look forward to our next trip to visit family so we can share another meal at this diner.

Took my fiance and kids for lunch. I was able to order breakfast in the afternoon, which was great. My fiance, who is not a big fast food eater, enjoyed her chicken sandwich meal. Of course, the kids loved their kid burgers. Definitely will go back again.
Our omlettes were well done and browned, which Im not a fan of but the flavor was decent. Bacon wasnt well done but home fries were. Typical diner
Went for dinner on a cold damp Tuesday night. When we were seated there was one person at a table next to us with a partial but open divider. By the time we left there were people seated at every table immediately surrounding us. When I asked the hostess why, given that the place was basically empty, she just shrugged her shoulders at me. Maybe I’ll go back when COVID is gone. But for now, stay away.

There were 5 table tops seated in the whole restaurant.In our section there were 2 tables seated besides my husband and I.It was 11am and we were given breakfast menus. We didnt want breakfast but stayed anyway.Our food came out really quickly which was cool, but our meals were lack luster. Nothing delicious or special, and pricey for what we got.Our waitress made us feel rushed as she paced our section back and forth looking at our plates with every pass.We finally wound up leaving without finishing as we just felt so rushed.

I had a farmers omelet and a brownie Ala mode. The omelet was ok but I disliked the brownie Ala mode. The brownie was cake instead of a real brownie and it cost 8.50 I believe for very a unsatisfying desert. My friends has a burger and also an Philly cheese take. Also they had a cheesecakes for desert. Overall for the cost of our dinner it was average. The service was good and the young man.

For the most part, its exactly what youd expect from a Long Island diner. Omelettes, pancakes, burgers, soups, salads. I like the chicken noodle soup. I like the hot open turkey sandwich. I recently had a roast turkey dinner that came with apple stuffing. The stuffing was fantastic! They also have some delicious desserts including linzer tarts and rice pudding. Great spot for a casual, quick meal any time of day.

I gave the olympic diner 3 stars because this place gives me mixed feelings. I have been going to this diner since I was little. I always considered it my favorite diner up until the last few years. If you are going inside to eat then I would recommend it. I have never had an issue while I was in the restaurant. And the food is really good. Good portion sizes. Its the take out that always gets me. The food is still good but on a few occasions the person who answered the phone was rude or condescending. The last time I called about curbside pickup and the woman kept obnoxiously telling me I have to use the grubhub and one of the other food delivery apps. She kept talking over me saying that she doesnt know how to use the app and that she just works there and doesnt use the app. I kept trying to explain I didnt want delivery but she was talking over me so much and kept saying I need to figure out the app myself that eventually I had to get loud and tell her to listen to me. When I finally got to tell her that I was doing curbside she said okay and transferred me to someone to take my order but by that time I didnt want to place an order there and I called someplace else. Also they charge extra for everything with delivery. So if I could do two separate reviews I would give 5 stars for dining in at the restaurant and 1 star for delivery. So I went for 3 in the middle since I cant.

I cant believe how terrible this diner has gotten!! There is ALWAYS an issue with my take out orders, something is always missing, or made wrong! When you call them about it they act like it yours fault its wrong and are nasty about it! I used to go here and order from here all the time, I will NEVER go here again or order from here again. 8 Years of service LOST! The previous owners were SO MUCH BETTER!! SO MUCH NICER AND ACTUALLY CARED ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS AND CUSTOMERS!!!
