Mavis of Deer Park is awesome. The staff was friendly, professional and engaging. They were ready for me when I arrived at my scheduled time and I was out much faster than anticipated. Definitely recommend Mavis of Deer Park.

I have been meaning to write this review about Mavis Discount Tires for some time now, but just got around to doing so.I have purchased tires from Mavis many times, and have always had pleasant experiences. But I really wanted to recognize Ali, who said she works at the Huntington, NY Mavis, but was just helping out at the Deer Park, NY location the day I visited.When I got to the store, it was almost closing time, so I was the only customer in the waiting area.Ali began to tidy up the area, and made a few changes to the seating area, while engaging in a friendly conversation with me; which I enjoyed. It made my waiting less boring.She also gave me a tip, on how I could save money when I purchased my tire.Thanks Ali.

Terrible experience. Worst part , manager didnt even care.Came in a 7:30 am and waited outside till 8 am so they open. This is what was suggested the prior day, even though I made an appointment a week before. I get there and the tire was not available. No big deal, I was willing to pay more just cause I was going on a long distance trip the next day. Before anything I made sure they can finish by 2pm because I had to pick up my child from school. They said that will be no problem. It was 1:40 and I called to check on status. They didnt even start yet, I ask will it be ready by 2.. he says how can i get a tire done in 20 min... ... and just hangs up the phone..

I usually come here for my inspections and even oil changes but they tell you a price on the phone and when you come to pay is always 20 dollars over!!Today I had a reservation for and inspection which only takes like 10 minutes and he told me if I was able to drop off! Like seriously I had a reservation and an inspection takes only 10-15 minutes at the most!That is always and issue the time and prices!!!

Kim was Great! Very courteous. I found them very honest and friendly with good prices. I highly recommend. I have been a customer for years.

Excellent staff. I was kept informed of my vehicles progress numerous times and given an ETA on when it would be done. It was ready a few minutes earlier than expected, which was great! I was not overcharged or taken advantage of like many other repair shops try to do.Excellent experience!

Not bad. Got all my tired fixed for a good price. Asking an appointment is no faster then a walk in though. Staff is nice and walking distance from all the food if you need a bite while you wait

Utmost rude and disrespectful to their customer. I was quoted by call center for full synthetic oil change for 39.99. Went to workshop and had that done. I was told it would take two hours but ended up taking almost 5 hours. When came to pay I was told to pay 78 and change. Kim the assistant manager called around when i explained what i was quoted. She stated the lowest she could go was 50 but didnt even honor that when i tried to elaborate on how i should be given what i was quoted for. Worse! She said she will keep the car for the night if i dont agree to pay asked price! Moreover, no receipt of the payment was provided but thankfully i have it on my bank statement! It was A VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE! Stay away!

Carlos and Justin are the best managers on Long Island. Saul and Peter are two of the best mechanics on the island. So then at that point looking for a shop to get your car fixed is a no-brainer you might as well bring it here.Youre treated like family and get on with your day because these guys are fast and theyll get you in and out of the shop and you wont feel your wallet get any lighter.Love these guys.

I had a WONDERFUL experience at this location, from the friendly person working at the counter, to Carlos, who did a wonderful job taking care of my cars tire needs!I cracked a rim, and, when the replacement comes in, Ill be back for Carlos and his team to swap over my tire and get me back to all five full sized wheels.

Terrible place to get repairs. People that work there are unqualified to do their jobs. The word appointment means nothing to them. If someone makes a appointment they still take people before you. Be warned before you go their. If you care about your time and ur vehicle DO NOT GO THERE.

Overall I had a great experience at Mavis at this location in Deer Park, I have been using Mavis for years, but my first time to this location. Everything went smooth, I felt they were honest and were not pushy with needing unnecessary things for my vehicle. Stan was very courteous, calm, patient, and provided great customer service. I will definitely be back to take care or my vehicle needs in the future.

This location is absolute trash! Had an appointment to get 4 new tires, I come to drop off my car and I’m told they can’t do them because corporate over booked!! Kid was no help and a complete loser.

Extremely courteous, professional and knowledgeable. This is the location which will NOT oversell you like many other tire retailers and prices are very reasonable . Stan was really helpful in selection of tires for my 2009 Subaru Impreza. Although you dont change tires very often but this would be my go to place whenever I need to.

My visit at this location was smooth. Their service superb, timely, and professional. Stanley (staff) was very professional and i will continue to come to this location if they continue to have staff like Stanley! I was very happy and satisfied.

What’s the point of making an appointment if you guys are going to take walk ins anyways ?? I had an appointment but I was told to just drop off my car because it’ll be a long wait due to walk ins... shouldn’t you accept people with appointments before walk ins ?? Not coming back.

This place is so unprofessional they have people talking and joking around instead of getting things done . I came on Thursday evening waited three hours to get an oil change and my car was leaking oil not done probably due to the lack of professionalism. I went to Mavis on 9/20/20 for an inspection. I made an appointment the day before and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. The staff is great and personable. The service is quick and thorough.

My 80 year old dad went to Mavis and was treated with such respect. Most places mistreat the elderly, but Mavis is a class above the rest.

I went to get my car inspection. They told me didn’t passed it because rotors rust on the inner part of it. To fix it will cost me around $300.00 I told them no!!I took the car to another mechanic it was perfectly okBe careful with you money in this place

They did a good job, but waiting time is more.

Went to have a headlight changed. No charge.It was only disconnected. Anywhere else would have changed it anyway and charged me.

They were expedient and professional. They handled my emergency as if it were their own. Well put together staff.

A breath of fresh air from those oil change while you wait places that show you your dirty filters and try to compel you to purchase any extras they can get you to. Have never felt the auto mechanic ripoff here. Staff are polite and the ability to schedule appointments online is convenient.

Brought my car there it had a nail in the tread. Got some young guy who took one look at my car oh you have a brand new 2017 took a look at the nail said oh youre going to need a new tire. First Im not an idiot it was no where the side wall it was on the tread I told him not to touch my car. Went some where else they patched it for $25. What kind of company are you running where you hire people who are looking to rip off honest hard working families to make a quick buck. I will never recommend your company to anyone bunch of rip offs.

Ive been a Mavis customer for many years now. Over the years whether tires, shocks, struts, brakes or simply annual vehicle inspections; Mavis and particularly the staff at Deer Park (Glen Adorno and his crew) have been great. Both the products and the service are top shelf. With so many outfits promising low prices and great service, around town; I highly suggest you give these guys the opportunity to serve your needs. You wont be disappointed.

I feel cheated by even having to give this place one star. There customer service is horrible. I came here on this pass Sunday with my two kids. I had a flat tire so first I went to the gas station next door to put air as I did not know Mavis gives free air. When I got to my tire I could hear the air coming out so I drove next door to the Mavis. At this point it was 4:47 EXACTLY. When I got out my car the first person I spoke to which was a mechanic said he was not sure if he could plug the tire for me or change it because he was busy. Then the gentleman working inside told me that “ I’ve been trying to close for the last 20 mins plus I have these other people to service, Sorry.” Then he just walked away from me. Correct me if I’m wrong but you don’t close until 5. While I understand it was close to that time I’m still a customer one who had children with her at that. And it would have only taken a few minutes to plug my tire. Absolutely the most disrespectful and rudest treatment I’ve ever gotten. Because it was a nail that punctured my tire the pressure was dropping in minutes and I had to stop and put air three different times before I got home where my husband could change it for me. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Very friendly staff who will try to work with you on any of the problems with your car. They also are very quick and thorough and who charge at a good rate. In terms of of any cons there are non to speak of.

Went here because of knocking sound on my Dodge Charger. They changed the struts and my car still made the sound. After that they changed idler arms still made the sound. Then they changed the control arms and put the them on the wrong sides which made it dangerous for me to drive. After that they said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it after I spent 2000$ on everything with them. They couldn’t figure out they put the parts on the wrong side so I brought it to another mechanic and they spotted the problem right away and fixed it.

Went in at around 2:30 asking Glen to put 2 rear tires on for me. Got my car back a few hours later, no fuss. I recommend this Mavis branch to everybody. Glen is very courteous & professional.

Terrible experience today.Went there yesterday, Saturday, around 3pm and they were extremely busy and could not do an oil change. No problem. They told me to come in as soon as they open tomorrow (Sunday @ 9am) and they would get me right in.I arrived at 850am and waited for them to come in. I was 3rd in line to be checked out and was told they needed to order oil and a filter for my car as it was specialized and they did not stock it. No problem. The manager, young guy named Sergio, said he should be able to get them from one of his several suppliers in 20-30 mins from when the order is placed.At 945ish, he finally started calling the suppliers (he said he wanted to deal with the other customers before he called and that I needed to be patient as he wasnt suppose to be by himself). #1, he should have made the 2 min phone calls while he was helping me before helping other customers after me....instead of making me wait 45 mins. #2 one supplier didnt have the product and the other needed to order them, in which they would not have it until 2pmI ended up leaving, being told by Sergio that he would call me around 2-230pm when he got the stuff and would Squeeze me right in.I never received a call. I call them at 310pm when I leave my appt. and he said great timing, Im just calling them now to see whats going on. Why was this call not made at 2pm or 215pm!!!???He then said they supplier said he never placed the order and they still do not have my oil and filter.Terribly ran location...in which I have been going for years. Not sure why they leave a young kid in charge who is not capable of taking care of a customer in MANY ways. And then complains to me and other customers that he is overwhelmed that he was LEFT by himself.I suggest A LOT MORE Training is in order!Will never go back again!PS- Freddy in the Farmingdale location is very accomodating.
