Went for lunch on a Sunday. They close at 1 so we arrived before 12:30. We ordered the smashed potatoes, a black forest ham bagel sandwich and avacado toast. The service was awesome and we didnt have to wait long.

A wonderful place to grab a coffee when on the go, or to sit for a while and catch up with friends. Not so great if you want to work long-term. The decor is well done, seating is ample, and the space is clean. It is lacking outlets anywhere but the community table, which is naturally then always packed. Just like the Southpark location, the coffee here is excellent and provided by trusted Cincinnati roaster Deep Roots. This location also has a good selection of pastries and ready made meals. Overall recommend.

Very friendly staff this morning. Ordered a black eye coffee and the Full Monte breakfast sandwich. Coffee was perfect and the sandwich was hot and fresh with that thick cut bacon that is hard to find. Really enjoyed the sandwich and coffee. Well done!

Modern look to the coffee shop, quality of drinks at a high level, polite staff, gets busy! They serve an expanded menu of sandwiches, etc.This location is near the UD campus, so it gets busy with students studying, which is totally fine, but just be aware that seating might be limited.I personally enjoy this look and feel of a coffee shop lot more than the first Ghostlight (on Wayne Ave). The look is clean, yet modern.2021 update: Kind of have to take them down a star. The wait time for our food was fairly Iong and they didnt have all ingredients listed for 2 of their meal items. However, they made up for the fact by giving us a free dessert to make up for it, and the meals they did make were great!The coffee was better last time we visited, this time we got flavored lattes, they lacked the distinct espresso flavor. Maybe Ill know next time to add another shot!

Full monty bagel was great. Coffee was a little strong but I like a weaker coffee. The smores pastry look good but was hollow except a very small bit of filling. The staff was friendly and helpful! Buggiest peeve no straws for cups.

My favorite coffee shop in the dayton area. Best coffee (my opinion) some absolutely delicious food and treats. All of the staff are very friendly no one has ever been rude not to mention the cleanliness of the inside and grounds outside.

This new location just opened November 14, 2019. I went on the 15th and had a great experience for it being so busy on opening weekend both the food and coffees were great ! Really enjoyed the friendliness of cashier as well.

This is the second location for Ghostlight (original on Wayne Ave.) This one has a food menu and the same great pastries and coffees/teas that make Ghostlight its beloved self. Plenty of space and it carries the vibe of community and productivity all around. Definitely worth a stop if you have a moment and wanna check it out!

Enjoyed the service, coffee and ghostlight experience. Free wifi and plenty of seating. Constitution going on behind the coffee shop, but plenty of parking across the street. Very clean ... Ill be back ... often.

The coffee and the breakfast sandwiches are always excellent, and our kids love the Ghost tarts! Ghostlight is one Dayton breakfast and coffee spot we find ourselves visiting again and again!

I can’t believe they are not open longer on Sunday and Monday. You’re gonna lose business. I drove all the way here because I thought they were open till 8. And their closed. Now I guess I’ll have to go to their competition. It sucks I was going to buy a bag of coffee too.

So Im an on duty emt. I went here a couple weeks ago and it was aweful but it close by my work so ifigured it was a one off thing and id give it another try. Went to get coffee, placed my order. Waited for literally every other person in line behind me to get their order before my drink came out. They gave me the wrong drink and it wasnt very good. Not to mention it was like $8. Not going back. If I wanted overpriced bad coffee from pretentious staff ill just go to Starbucks. Frankly one star is an exageration.

I ordered a ton of stuff from here and even when I was no longer hungry I had to keep snacking. The coffee was fab. The apple braid pastry was delightful. The breakfast biscuit was gorgeous. Thanks for safely delivering delicious food in a time of sadness. It was a big highlight of my trip to Dayton. Ill be back for more.xx

I wish I lived closer. My mom and I were passing through and recieved the best service we have had in a long time. The baristas were so personable which was a nice treat whilst traveling so far from home. If you want phenomenal coffee and a treat for your soul, please give them a shot. Pun intended.

The breakfast sandwiches here are amazing. I love the balsamic black walnut coffee (yes it sounds weird but it has great flavor!) also their golden cup coffee is very good.

The hostess was very accommodating as this was my first visit. A simple menu is available on your right attached to the wall to help you order. The atmosphere is very inviting and they have ample parking which is nice since most places in the Downtown area do not. A sandwich and coffee was about $10 but everything was prepared fresh and was delicious. Overall the menu design, atmosphere, and superb customer service made this experience memorable. Will definitely grace this establishment with my patronage again! Kudos!

If you don’t like this place, I question your sanity. I wanted to cry when I drank my first coffee from here. Seriously amazing coffee. And the food...Oh my Jesus. Like ambrosia. I do not do reviews often. So know this is some seriously f*ing amazing food. They even gave my pet rat a whipped cream treat. Amazing. Do not miss out.

I am so happy for Ghostlight that they have been doing so well. The new site is in a great convenient location. Staff in general is very nice. There are signs on most of the tables asking customers who want to stay longer than 20 minutes to use the main table . Kudos to them for wanting better turnover rather than someone living at their coffee shop all day, but perhaps there could be less tables with that sign for those who want to stay longer than 20 minutes? Hardly any outlets to plug in computers, and those available are rather tricky to get to.So maybe an upgrade with outlets to attract more customers? There are only a few usable parking spaces in the front, although there are lots more spaces.... Overall I always want to support local businesses , their coffee is SO good. I think they just need to work out some of the kinks- maybe cushions on the seats? Change the two unavailable parking spots to regular parking spots? Better temperature control? For winter the room was actually freezing, many customers still wearing their winter coats. Congratulations on your second location.

The environment is clean, beautiful, and welcoming. My five-year-old has made new friends with the lovely staff who make every visit a fun one. :) Always a fantastic experience!

Ghostlight took their strong foundation of great coffee, amazing baked goods, and super friendly staff to a new level with their second location, Ghostlight Midtown. This included with an amazing new food menu (even vegan options) and a beautifully designed spot, Ghostlight Midtown a must visit. Truthfully, it is different from their original location, but so incredibly complimentary to not only Ghostlight itself, but to the city of Dayton as well. Tons of comfortable seating and big amazing windows. The only issue is deciding which location to visit! Thank You Ghostlight for setting the bar high with this project!

Good takeout food and coffee.Editing as of April 2nd 2021: This is the third time that their online ordering system has said that an order will be ready at a certain time, only to be a half hour late. Its not a good look when someone WHO REALLY WANTS TO LOVE this local coffee place is soured by bad service. Also this time my breakfast sandwich was cold, which makes me wonder if it was sitting somewhere and someone forgot about it.This is now a pattern and they either need to figure out their online system and provide more realistic timeframes for service, or youll just have to gamble and decide to show up ten minutes late and hope they havent somehow gotten their act together and now your food is cold.

Normally had a good experience with the coffee but went and ordered tacos which were supposed to be ready for pickup at 7:20.... Arrived on time and saw an employee come out numerous times to ask for our order name without saying much after. We didnt get our food until 7:55 when it was ordered at 7. Pretty disappointed that no one told us why or even said sorry

Their bagel lunchboxes are such a great idea. A choice of bagel sandwich (the apple one is soooooo good), side, and a cookie! Perfect lunch portions. And vegan options!

Food is fantastic and very reasonable prices. Staff is a hit and miss. Some are wonderful others not so much. My husband and a staff member met eyes and he said excuse me to her but she turned and talked to another staff member. The gentleman that brought us our food was kind and helpful. The women that took our order was neither welcoming or unwelcoming, maybe just exhausted from the morning rush? Overall though the environment of the location left me feeling suffocated, which is the biggest reason for my review. It was not welcoming or comfortable. I felt like they wanted you gone the moment you walked in based on the wifi hours and the instructions on where you can and cannot sit with a laptop. I understand it is for the comfort of everyone but it was more of a turn off than welcoming and I wasnt even using the wifi or a laptop. I would come back, but not on a Saturday morning which means with their hours - I wont be back for a long time.

Unsure the popularity here... The staff was curt and quite rude. Coffee cold, only light and dark roast ( the smaller location has more selection in the afternoon) Ordered a breakfast sandwich, which is $5, not made to order, rather reheated (egg McMuffin with a local sausage) it was gross with a crispy egg. When I Sent it back I was confronted, I mean CONFRONTED, by Christian, which was an experience unfamiliar at places serving $6 coffee drinks. Argumentative, flip, and without me even saying 3words walked off abruptly as if I wasnt a human being worthy of his time. Not sure about the ownership here, but I will not be returning to what I call Starbucks Jr.
