A great cocktail bar in Dayton! Distilling their own whiskey and using it in a medley of unique mix drinks(along with other liquors) makes for a relaxed but classy environment. Large outdoor patio makes this great for enjoying perfect nights! A touch slow service but still worth the wait

For my birthday we had gone to Dayton Beer Company. It was a great night on the patio.Then we heard that Dayton Barrel Works had finally opened and walked over. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! The drinks were drop dead delicious with amazing service and atmosphere accompanying it.The inside and outside areas are extremely spacious and beautiful. I highly encourage you to check this out sooner than later because this spot will blow up very soon.

Had a chance to check this place out Saturday night. Loved the look and feel of the place, was a bit pricey, but thats okay. My one critique would be this... they have 2 bathrooms, that are individual capacity (no stales), that are completely identical, so why bother with the men / women signs in this day and age?! Just put restroom and forget about it. Let people just use them. Why bother assigning them to someone? I saw girls queued up outside the women one while the men one sat empty, that is just dumb.

Fantastic service the staff was knowledgeable friendly, the Gin was absolutely amazing best gym Ive ever had in my life. Bourbon was excellent vodka everything theyre making is fantastic what a venue great place to go highly recommended. Tara was our awesome bartender!

This place is top shelf. We where traveling from out of town and I’m a bourbon fan, so the wife an I decided to give it a shot. Man was I impressed. I’m very picky when it comes to bourbon an my old fashions. And I quickly found out these guys an gals aren’t amateurs. They are skilled bartenders and know the art of the pour. Get the old fashion with their bourbon (Rubicon Creek). My only issue is how I will get this stuff back home! Our dinner was great too, very nice selections to chose from. The service was impeccable. They know when to educate an entertain, and when to let you enjoy the atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to locals an travelers alike.

Went out with the wife and some Old friends and had an amazing experience. The service was first class, the drinks were amazing (2 members of the group were very picky with their drink orders and they got it perfect), and we were able to enjoy ourselves for hours never needing to remind them to keep the drinks coming. After the night was over and we cashed out, I couldn’t believe how reasonable our bill was. We were shocked at how affordable it was. We recommend for anyone and can’t wait to go back. Thanks for allowing us to have such a great evening!!!

Stopped by with my family the day after shoulder surgery. This bar staff knows what theyre doing, had a variety of delicious cocktails! Not to mention the safe and respectful atmosphere, I felt much more comfortable here than some other establishments this year. Kudos to Dayton Barrel Works for adhering to Covid protocols while mixing up the finest cocktails I have enjoyed in Dayton.

We absolutely love this gem of a place! The service and cocktails are second to none! I love their custom cocktails and that the mixologist are knowledgeable, kind, and make you feel welcomed!

This place is great! My wife and I wanted a fun night out away from the kids when we were in town visiting. This place exceeded our expectations. From selection, to service, to prices I gotta say I would recommend it to anyone.

Really enjoy this place - as a coffee spot AND a cocktail bar. Definitely one of the coolest spots in downtown. Apparently, the coffee portion of this business is on an un-announced hiatus - apple reflects this, but google still has the 9AM-2PM hours. I loved being able to work from home at DBW, but no longer can do that, sadly. I recommend that it open as a coffee shop on weekends, business will be better.

Tonight, I was confronted by the rudest bartender. She had brown hair, heavier side, with a massive attitude. I tried to make small talk but she rudely interrupted me and demanded I tell her what drink I wanted. Once ordered, she told my friend who was beside me, also ordering drinks, to go sit down. One of us was to go sit, while the other would carry the 4 drinks....seriously!? My friend had to make 2 trips. I am a restaurant manager myself and was completely caught off guard by how rude she came across. Of course, being in the industry myself, I calmly did as she told, not asked. Once we had sat down, she turned down the music, and rudely demanded that the entire bar order last call drinks or get out. The time was 9:24, mind you...... My table of 5 felt so uncomfortable, that we just left.I will not be coming back to this establishment. During a time of uncertainty for the industries, do we really need to support angry staff who hate their jobs so much that they feel the need to disrespect customers? If you’re unhappy in your position, I encourage you to move on. Not worth the stress. This is coming from a fellow industry leader. I would never disrespect my customers....ever. After all, they are the reason I have my job.Whomever this girl was, she heavily projected herself as the leader of the evening. Brown hair, feisty. I wish I could tell her name, but alas, I didn’t want to project my anger towards her as well in asking her name.Lacks proper management. Drinks took forever to make. DBC was a much better experience for us.

Dayton Barrel Works is impressive. As a sister establishment to Dayton Beer Company (which I really enjoy, especially their patio and live music atmosphere) I had high hopes. Thankfully, they deliver, in full. Yes, I’m a beer drinker primarily, but who doesn’t love a good cocktail from a local establishment that is also Dayton owned and operated? And what makes it better? They actually make their own spirits. I had the Rubicon Creek Bourbon served neat that went down smoothly for a rookie distillery. It was obvious to me they are taking the liquor business as seriously as their beer business so clearly you won’t be disappointed in the slightest.The atmosphere is great and I can only assume it will get better once COVID-19 is in our rear view mirrors. With that said, I can’t wait to meet some friends for some drinks here. This place is made for socializing and it will be a sight to see when all of this Covid craziness settles.

Drinks were great but the bartenders would NOT keep their masks on! And when they did have them “on” they were not wearing them properly(nose out). Also wish they opened earlier!
