If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would. I ordered a refrigerator online with cosmetic damage, and maybe 15 minutes later, Angela called to make sure that I had seen pictures of the fridge, when I said I had not, she said she would text me them. I saw the pictures and confirmed the order, she made sure to tell me that since I had chosen in-store pick-up, I would have to be present and they wouldnt release it to me unless it could be placed upright on whatever vehicle we were using. Unfortunately, my husband and I did some measurements and realized it wouldnt fit in our van standing up. I called back and apologized and told her it wouldnt work and if we could switch to delivery. She was very helpful and contacted her manager to make it work. She was able to switch to home delivery and I just paid the extra cost over the phone. Such a seamless process, if youre looking for good deals and great customer service, shop here, you wont regret it!

Stay away! Purchased appliances, that the store was claiming was brand new, but the spider assembly by the motor of the washer was broken. They claimed they didn’t do house deliveries during COVID, but I spoke with the delivery company and they’ve stated that they have been house deliveries and installments the entire time the COVID restrictions has been in effect. I will never purchase anything else from them

Decided to come to Darien store because they were the only store with the exact fridge and freezer I wanted. Im SO glad I did. Angela went above and beyond even calling right away to confirm my online order placed after 6pm. She answered all of my questions and sent me up to date photos so we knew exactly what we were getting and had someone test the product to be sure the minor imperfections did not impact the performance. Their delivery team is also top notch. They called when on the way and again 10 mins out. They even arrived at the beginning of the delivery window.

Horrible customer service.... Sold us a broken washing machine and we bought a warranty but when we called that it was broken they tried telling us that we did not have a warranty. Calling to resolve this issue was a nightmare everyone we spoke to at the store was very disrespectful. I recommend picking up a washer from the landfill before coming here.

We went shopping for a new stove. And walking in huge store compared to the 1 near us in Bridgeview. And very clean and welcoming..Greeted us all and very informative our sales person was Angela she was a wonderful lady and kind and helped us and answered all our questions on different products and explained all differences on products..We will be shopping for my items for our house. I would not recommend shopping here. Service is so-so. I found employee to be rude and outspoken. Their prices are cheaper than ticket price, yes, but not too much cheaper. Most of everything has some kind of damage to it. I was told by other people who have shopped there that some items were found to be refurbished. Once you get to checkout, they add on a bunch of fees that they dont tell you about when youre shopping. They dont deliver, install or take away your pre-existing item. They can offer a service for you to do it but it is so expensive. We spent so much time there shopping and measuring that by the time we had our total for the item, install, and delivery, it was close to purchasing something at full ticket price. Since that experience, I would highly recommend just going to Home Depot or Best Buy for appliances. They install super cheap and also take away your item for only $30 at both of those stores, and youre getting a brand new appliance from a reputable company! Shop for appliances at Home Depot of Best Buy. I promise it will save you a headache, will be great service, and you have a brand new item you wont have to fix soon after. I dont like leaving negative reviews unless its worth it to notify the public about. Im big on reading reviews before I make a big ticket item purchase. Thanks!

Called in on a clearance product was weary of what damage was. Within 5 minutes Al took care of all of it, sent 10 pictures of all angles and scratches and dents making sure nothing was hidden.Providing prompt and professional customer service!

Darien American freight the worst experience I ever had with appliances 😩the store guy who work there don’t know how washer works, we asked for gas dryer and he ask me if I need gas washer too, they have three different prices for dryer and if I ask them for lower price they said price is from yesterday 😂 you know Home Depot is cheaper with much better quality than some outlets

Angela, or an Angel sent straight from Heaven as we nicknamed her on our visit, was the absolutely BEST to work with!! Not only does American Freight have a great selection of quality products for every room of the house, Angela (the assistant manager) went above and beyond to make sure we were helped, informed, satisfied, and enjoyed our experience!! We bought three appliances, a living room set, a bedroom set, and mattress. After spending a week looking at competitors and striking out with long wait times on delivery, American Freight and Angela saved the day to happily fill our new home. Thank you Angela and AF!!!

Nice customer service, theyre very helpful and friendly. However, Almost All the appliances they have for sale are dented, scratched, dented, dented... on top of that the prices are high and not really low at all. The dents are really big and visible, not sure if that kind of damage can be fixed or worth fixing.

Their website shows that they carry lawnmowers they DON’T and when I asked the young lady about it she said “I don’t care what the web site says we don’t have any”I tried to tell her that it should be removed from the web site and she stated that it’s not her problem and that it’s up to corporate to fix it then told me to have a nice day and pointed to the door for me to leave.Ironically I came in for a lawn mower and all new appliances for my new home that I close on next week but she didn’t ask if there was anything else she could help me with nor did she apologize for the wrong information on the web site. All I got was we ain’t sears no more and don’t carry lawn mowers over and over. Their employees don’t listen or ask what they can help you with, so I left and will not be returning.

Do not buy from this place. I purchased a range GE gas free standing. They delivered the range with the incorrect grates for the buners, the middle buner only half of it worked, and it was also used there is old dirt in the middle of the top oven. I specifically asked Angela who stated she was manager if the range was used because of the minor scratches and she stated , We dont sell used appliances here, well that was a lie. I call her today after we hooked it up to tell her the issues and the worst customer service I ever had. Top it off they will give me my money back but not the delivery fee. Oh and they charged me for installation and the guys say we dont hook up ranges.Very disappointing, family was ready to cook up some food but cant, thanks alot American Freight, the old SEARS outlet we never had issues..wow

Came in looking for a laundry center (washer/ dryer). They didnt have one but informed me when one might be available. I returned on said date and sure enough they let me get one, pretty much off the truck. Excellent condition, excellent price. Shout out to Ms. Angela for being so accommodating.
