Its extremely difficult to find a boatyard with integrity that wont bleed you dry. Craig, at Yacht Management, in Dania is that guy. Fantastic person. I highly recommend.

From the moment I spoke to Allison and met Britney in the front office I knew that this was going to be the right company to deal with. I met with Craig and explained to him the various things that I needed. All the way he came up with suggestions and ways to do things that I had not thought about. He was constantly trying to find a more cost-effective way of doing things and at times was trying to convince me not to do other things. He never tried to onsell me for anything. Jim and Chris and Igor and the rest of the team who worked on my boat were incredible. You could see that all of them were proud of the work they were doing. They went out of their way to check that things were done properly even on parts of the boats where they were not working or charging for. In fact on one occasion they worked themselves out of a billable job. I trust them implicitly and Im taking my boat back for a large part of my refit for my world circumnavigation.

I had some pretty significant fiberglass damage, engine damage, and needed some additional things to get tweaked and added on a boat i purchased. I went through Yacht Management and can tell you they are the single best people i have ever worked with. I have been and will continue to deal with unprofessional contractors, unorganized companies, and lazy people. To say these guys are the best is an understatement. I would call them every other day asking them to add little things from adding electronics to having the black water flushed. They would respond in minutes and the issue/concern would be handled in hours. It is harder for me to get the bumpers and ropes for the boat than it is for me to have the boat repaired. I recommend to whoever is in search of having the fastest turnaround, best quality, and most honest work. I never ever right reviews for companies unless they have horrible service. This is one of the best experiences ive ever had with a company and will recommend to all.

ENTHUSIASTIC FIVE STARS!!! Having been boating for many years, I recently had Yacht Management Group of Dania Beach do some repairs and maintenance on my boat. These guys are pros, from their administrators, Allison and Brittney, to the technicians, right up to the owner, Craig. At my first visit, they took the time to explain exactly what I needed and to offer me different options. The price was competitive and the work was done properly and on time.Based upon my experience, I recommend Yacht Management Group in the highest possible terms!

I have been a customer of Yacht Management Group for four years now and have had multiple haul outs for bottom paint and repairs. I have found them to be very professional a highly qualified. Additionally, they stand behind their work, customer satisfaction is the key element in their services.

Just picked up our 50’ Mono after a bottom repainting. Simply put, there are a few bad eggs at this company you should be made aware of and one of them has to be the owner, Craig.Starting from the beginning - We made the appointment by calling the front desk and dealt with Jamie. Jamie was not the friendliest and has a tendency to get frustrated with you when you ask a question she either doesn’t know the answer to or requires a response other than ‘yes’ or ‘no’. There is also a gal named Allison that will answer the phone occasionally who is pleasant to work with and certainly worth commending. We pulled up and were met by a gentleman named Jim. Jim seemed like a really great guy - He took the time to explain what the plan with our vessel was, and when the crew should be able to complete the job. Here is where the experience really went South. When it came time to pick up the boat, the company gave conflicting pick up times, creating a ton of confusion. I tried calling to get some clarity, and was met with Jamie’s awful demeanor. After getting nowhere with her, Craig wanted to speak. I have never been so disrespected AS A CUSTOMER of his in my life. This guy has some serious anger issues, as explemplified by many other reviews in this thread. He knows that your vessel is out of water and you need him to drop it back in. He will hold the boat hostage. He will treat you, a paying customer (paying more compared to other yards in the same marina), like trash. The guy is an absolute scumbag, and would strongly urge you not to give him a dime of your hard earned money. If you want to have a confusing experience, deal with a guy with serious anger issues, and leave disrespected - take your vessel here.

Zero stars would be more relevant for Craigs performance and attitude. We just had a horrible experience getting our bottom painted and our hull waxed on our 46 monohull. We booked this job 5 weeks in advance, to ensure to get the work done before wed start our Atlantic crossing. He kept delaying us for two days, without communication (we had to call him). When we explained our dissatisfaction, he yelled at us and acted very arrogant and in a threatening way. There were time when both my wife and I were scared. At the end, we did offer to give him constructive feedback, that could have made our experience and expectations better. But he bluntly told us that he wasnt interested in any feedback. I then told him that I would post my experience online, and he said - Please, go ahead, I dont care.If you can avoid this company, do it. I would not recommend Craig and Yacht Management Inc. to anyone. Weve been boaters for over 40 years, and never experienced anything close. Truly unpleasant and quite expensive.

EXCELLENT SERVICE! Ive been a maintainer as a career and know who is good and who isnt. YMG will get my return business from here on out. Very pleased in every way with these guys. I dont understand the bad reviews. Didnt see it at all during the lengthly stay that I had there. Maybe rookie people with attitudes or problem boats, who knows.Craig is extremely professional and I thoroughly enjoyed working with him on my yacht. He was always accommodating with surprise issues that popped up. His crew did excellent work, efficient, and not overpriced at all.Dont turn these guys down because of the bad reviews. You wont be disappointed.

If Porsche made boats ours would be more complicated! Needless to say we have a very technical vessel that needed $400,000+ in work after an accident. Yacht Management Group under Craigs direction did an awesome job and we could not be more pleased with the results.

Very unprofessional and disrespectful employees. We are in the shipyard in dania beach at harbour town marina, this company is working on a yacht next to us, they came to cover our boat before they spray the boat that they are working on. The guy gets on our boat without notifying one of our crew members. I noticed he is walking on board and went out to see what he was doing. I noticed that he is walking with his shoes on our deck and asked him to remove his shoes, he then swears at me and just continue to tramp dirt all over the deck. On his way off the boat he through his tape and tools down the stairs on to the teak deck. I cant believe these guys work on yachts.

I am shocked by the abject stupidity and unbelievable unprofessionalism of this company. Based on my experience (which has formed my opinion to follow), here is what you can expect if you use these people (and especially if you deal with Jamie): You will pay double for many of the items you choose to address and they will add a substantial percentage to the contractors bill and pass it on to you; while some of that is totally understandable, due to the costs of operating a yard and limited space, I would have expected them to not invent work that isnt needed and instead to be truthful about it. Your appointment may be canceled if you dare react to Jamies b**chy attitude with displeasure and youll be left to start over. She did me a favor, because my experience is that such an attitude is also followed by terrible work product and service anyway. Her attitude is the result of being insulted that they are not getting some of the work on the boat after I offered them the most expensive piece of work needed (complete re-rig) and instead they opted to let me deal directly with the rigging company, so they could invent un-neccessary additional work at a higher profit margin (paint, fiberglass work, etc). IN MY OPINION, they are cheaters, rude and socially-crooked in their dealings. Keep sailing until you find a real Yacht Management company. Sail past these swindlers.

Called and scheduled for a bottom job on my 55 sea ray. Spent over 5k, later to find out I overpaid big time. My diver said a month later the paint was chipping off in chunks and sent me 3 separate under water photos. When I sent Craig the manager the pics he told me impossible but would haul the boat out anyway. I traveled all the way from Miami to Fort Lauderdale on a strict time schedule. Craig and the ladys up front put me off 5 separate times in 2 days! 48 hrs later and a $150 over night dockage fee, Craig finally pulled the boat out proceeded to yell at me about how big and where the paint chunks were located. Craig then began to mock me saying is this your first boat(and it is) and threatin to throw me in the water as we stood on the dock yelling. His coworkers/painters eventually grabbed and pulled him back. He went inside and never came back out to insure the spots were sanded and fixed. This was the most bizarre experience Ive had in a while. I felt 2ft tall and that my business was a waste of Craigs time. I will never take any of my vessels to yacht management inc again and will share my experience with many of my yachting friends! Judging by the bottom job I saw today out of the water I would strongly suggest you take your vessel else where.
