We came to Gillen Yacht Services to correct problems we were having in our engine room with heat buildup and spray intake in moderate/rough seas. Our old vent design did not allow enough circulation of fresh air or block significant amounts of saltwater spray from coating the equipment, engines, bilges, etc. which caused hours of clean up after almost every trip. Dave Gillen Sr. immediately suggested a complete solution – installation of custom made Delta-T Moisture Eliminators for a robust new engine room ventilation system. This new system with high speed fans on the Port and Starboard sides circulate high volumes of fresh air in and out of our engine room and the baffle design eliminated nearly all salt water spray intake. The customization also allowed us to incorporate our dryer ventilation into the design. We were very pleased with the results and highly recommend Gillen Yacht Services for all your marine service and refit needs.

Its been a while since I had them do service on my boat. Without going into great detail, I would put it at a 0 Star if available. A captain brought the boat north after purchase. When it arrived, it was apparent they charged me for work that wasnt done and treated me like garbage since the boat was no longer in the State of Florida.(Updated after vendor response)Apparently, record keeping is not one of the strong suits. Must have been a different boat. I am glad that person left on two engines however.

I’ve been using Dave Gillen for 18 years to service all vessels I’ve owned and operated. Vessels ranging from tenders to 160 ft motor yachts. Dave Gillen has always been dependable and provided nothing but the very best level of service. One instance that comes to mind is Dave removing the rear seats in his aircraft and flying a pair of 54’’ props to Turks and Caicos and installing them. I’ll be a life long customer!

We needed several repairs and maintenance items to my 40 ft. 2017 Fountaine Pajot catamaran. Gillen, at Harbour Towne Marina in Dania Beach, was very responsive to all our needs. They started work the same day and needed parts arrived the same day or next day including a Raymarine radar. All work was done on or ahead of schedule. Technicians were very professional and accommodating. They explained everything and every issue with pleasure and clear easy language to understand. Ralph Hall, the general manager, was the best. He is very knowledgeable with all technical and boating aspects especially on catamarans and supervised a smooth flawless operation. Their prices were very reasonable and we strongly recommend them to every catamaran owner.

I have been sending my yachts & tenders to Gillen Diesel for over 18 years. From 30ft to 120ft. From engine rebuilds to complete paint work. The very best service & they always back up their work which is hard to come by these days. Would not go anywhere else.

Gallen Diesel serviced/fixed the engine on our tender. It was returned in a non running condition due to the incorrect reinstallation and wiring of the engine. We were subsequently charged more for them to fix their mistakes and to get it working. A number of parts that they claimed to have worked on/serviced failed. All facts considered it seems fair to assume that some of the work that we were charged for was not completed, or not completed correctly.
