If ever you are dining in Trinity Groves, save room for dessert at the Cake Bar! It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and patio seating was perfect. The service was unmatched and the cake…OMG! The 3 layer strawberry cake offered real strawberries, was very moist and the flavor was delightful. Not too sweet, just absolutely amazing! There’s also a cake kiosk for those after hours cravings🔥 That speaks volumes in my opinion.

If I could give my experience no stars I would. I was so disappointed. I ordered a half sheet wedding cake , one of the simplest cakes you could make for my Mother’s 75th Birthday. We served the cake and it was hard, dry and crumbly. The inside of the cake looked like it wasn’t mixed well in preparation. I will not order from here again. Everyone, even the little kids complained about how hard it was. I called and left a message for a call back and no one called me back. I emailed them regarding the issue as well and still no response. I never put reviews, but this was so disappointing I had to express the disappointment.

My family & I loved their Red Velvet Cake , Carrot Cake , & Key Lime Cake ! It was worth the money spent ! We definitely will be back ! My first time trying the Red Velvet Cake was 4 years ago at a birthday event , & I finally made my way to the actual location ! You wont be disappointed !

Delicious cakes. My party got the chocolate, key lime pie and lemon cake. I personally hot the hummingbird cake. It was advertised as a local tradition. It has nuts and fruit; so sweet. I loved it. The frosting seemed to have a tinge of cream cheese, but not overwhelming. Loved it. I tried the key lime as well. So good! All of them moist.

One of my favorite local cake shops! I live only minutes away from cake bar and have tried many of their cake flavors. My favorite has to be hummingbird, SO DELICIOUS! I grabbed the Neapolitan cake for my birthday dinner this year and wasn’t disappointed. I like this place because you can go in and purchase a cake the same day you need it. Hardly any places in Dallas offer that, they always requiere 2 days to a week in advance of you purchasing the cake. If you do want Cake Bar to write on the cake, they do require you to purchase 24 hrs. before you need it, just a heads up! Definitely try it out if you’re in the Trinity Groves area, they do sell single slices.

I use to be a big fan of cake bar. Anytime someone came to town I would take them there but lately the quality has gone down hill. I have not opened this slice at all and as you can see it looks all beat up and the upside down cake looks very undercooked smh. Presentation matters and its sad to watch this happen to such a great business.

Save yourself some money and the trip.Tried their Chocolate Cake, Italian Cream Cake, and chocolate brownie. Horrible quality and taste for the price. Save your money and go to Walmart, you’ll find better cakes there.

We stood in a line for 20 plus minutes and yes I was prepared to stand an hour. I ordered the Key lime cake and a chocolate cookie. The cake was a good size the cookie also. Will I order it again? I sure Will.

The coconut cake was decadent, dense, and a crowd pleaser! I had trouble finding any pictures of their sheet cakes on their website or in Google reviews . The sheet cake is beyond an amazing value!

I understand the concept of Cake Bar but I dont feel like it really stands out as a destination. The cake I had was normal, nothing extraordinary about it. Im not going to throw it away but I wouldnt put it high on the cakes tier list. I wish I could explain it better but its okay to try if youre there and its not really worth going out of the way for.

I went into Cake Bar and was extremely disappointed. The owner was really rude. They were not busy at all. How you speak to customers shows a lot about customer service. Her staff has been rude on other occasions but I figured it may have been because they were slammed busy. Even with her being rude; the wedding cake was very dry. I will not return here.

Usually have a great experience, but my last experience was not that great. I want to Cake Bar in person a couple days before my partners birthday to pre-order the a cake. I arrived and the cashier took my order and told me to bring my receipt when I come by to pick up the cake. So I arrived to pick up the cake on the scheduled day and time, but the cake was not even inputted. The person who was there got frustrated with the entire situation. She went off on me; that I should have ordered online and that they do not take in person pre orders. Again, I was told nothing the day I made my order. She ended up going to the back and making a call. Eventually she got one of the premade cakes that was already cut in slices and gave it to me. The cake was sloppy. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. Sad, since this was always my go to for cakes.

Arrived around 5ish, there was a line but it goes pretty quick. We ordered the carrot cake and German chocolate cake. A lil pricey but slice is good size and cake was moist and delicious. Will spurge on this again yum.

My 1st time going to the cake bar was about a year ago. And the strawberry cake was so delicious, it was sweet, moist and you can taste the sweetness in the strawberries. Even the carrot cake was good and I dont even like carrot cake. And it just taste like its vegan now and thats not what I pay for cause I pay for a $40 worth of cake! And the banana pudding was was just nasty!

This was my first visit. I was so impressed and in awe. My Italian Cake was amazing. Icing didnt over power the cake. So very fresh tasting too. The Cakes here are AMAZING...They are Consistent in the taste and always fresh. My favorite is the Key Lime. We stood in line for 20 minutes. Although; they move pretty fast. The staff is Professional and friendly.

DELICIOUSSSSS! My husband got their hummingbird cake and I had to get their regular chocolate cake. The hummingbird cake had pineapple and other things, which made it moist and PERFECT. Mine had dark chocolate frosting and it was divine. The dark chocolate was exceptionally tasty because it was more on the sweet side, less on the bitter (but still a dark chocolate flavor). They also had other flavors like regular yellow cake, key lime cake, strawberry and more. They have some brownies wrapped and ready to go, as well as bread pudding. They sell milk, too. So so good!

Disappointed, boring, bland cake. The cream cheese was too thick and strong needed a little more sugar and the cake was firm and tasted like box cake. Could have saved some money and enjoyed a better cake from the local grocery store. Cake not worth the price.

Such a friendly environment. I got there to pick up an online order and was greeted right away. They had a long line but still took the time to speak. Once I came in they quickly found my order in what seemed like a millions orders, made sure I had everything I needed. I wanted a slice of cake and decided to stop by the Cake Bar. It’s been a while since I’ve been there and I normally get the wedding cake. I decided to try something different and got the caramel cake. I must say that I’m highly disappointed because the cake was very dry and the icing was salty. Now, I’m not sure if this is how the caramel cake is supposed to taste because this was my first time getting this flavor. I am curious to know if the other slices of cake I saw in the front and back were dry too. Maybe it was a sign that I didn’t need cake in the first place. However, I’m not interested in giving them another try.

I had a slice of the Pina Colada cake. Its very light and tasty. I would have liked to have tasted more butter. I will be going back. Great location and although theres a line going in you move very quickly so dont let that deter you.

One of the best dark chocolate cakes Ive ever had. Its so good I havent ventured out often but their German chocolate and wedding cake are just as delicious. Great quality. Great texture and taste.

Cute cake bar, smells so sweet and has lots of choices. We enjoy getting several different slices to share between all of us. The slice containers lock into each other so it keeps them all right-side up in the bag so it makes it easy to get them to your destination. On a nice weather day, you can sit on their patio and enjoy your sweets there.

I want to say thank you so much to the staff at this wonderful bakery. I was in a rush and didnt pay attention to my order for my sisters graduation cake and the ladies told me not to worry. I LOVE Cake Bar, they are my favorite cakes in the world. However, I am giving it 3 stars because of lack of good customer service. Employees are bitter and zero friendly, cake machine NEVER works and they don’t even provide a warning on social media, orders on Uber Eats get cancelled. Employees make you feel like you are doing them a favor by purchasing a cake.

Stopped here on Fathers Day to grab a few slices. There was a long line but they were prepared. The line moved quickly. They were very organized. And the hummingbird cake was delicious!

You know when you just want a specific kind of cake and haven’t been able to find it anywhere. Well, I found Cale Bar when I was in search of caramel cake. I was NOT disappointed. This small cake shop is great to pick up a slice of cake after frequenting one of the many restaurants nearby. I bought a slice of caramel cake and Italian cream for my mom. The caramel cake was so dense. The frosting was like...sugared caramel frosting. I can’t describe it because it was out of this world. And the cake itself was very moist. The Italian cream was a bit different from others I’ve tried but still exceptional. Make sure to go with a friend because even though the slices are average size, it’s still worth two servings!

Easy to find. Lots of free parking. Small cozy shop with minimal seating. Came and tried the key lime cake. It was not too sweet and it was very moist. Love it!

Great selection and good flavor all around. They must use butter and eggs. The wedding cake icing was not up to wedding cake icing standards- was weak bodied. Also- the take away containers? Awful. They have gutters which grab your crumbs and icing leaving the cake connoisseur left to lick container - totally not cool. I understand the engineers design makes it easy for Cake Box to stack containers, but consumers are buying Cake Box cake for the Cake - not the Box.. 4 stars for cake taste, 3 for packaging.

We live an hour away and if we go to eat there in Trinity Groves, we will usually pick a slice and the cake is delicious. However, tonight was a very bad experience. I took a family member there for the first time. I believe it was the manager who let us in and I was grateful because it was closing time. I told the manager that I was thankful that they let me in because I was worried they might run out in the vending machine and I wanted my family member to try their cakes. The manager told me, Why are using words like worry when talking about cake? I was confused by that reaction & then she began to lecture me about the weight of my words and how using the word worry when referring to cake is ridiculous because there is so much in the world to be worried about and I need to consider my words. It was so confusing and rude. When I got to the counter, she said, Now that youve had a lesson on your words, you can enjoy your cake. Wow. This was a very bad first experience for the family member I was trying to introduce to the business. This is not how you treat customers. Sad, because Ive always been a fan and a loyal customer every time I visit Trinity Groves. Very disappointed and embarrassed that I took a family member into that environment this evening.

Ordered the chocolate cake but got home and it was the old fashioned. The old fashioned chocolate cakes my mom used to make didnt taste like this though. This tasted like canned frosting and the cake was dry. Last time we tried the cake it was better. I hope we just got a bad cake.

I ordered the hummingbird cake, was curious about it and did not want to make at home, so purchased it instead. Glad I did. But please make a separate online order pickup area accessible from the outside! Thanks!

I was there about a month ago...I called ahead and ordered a cake over the phone. When I arrived, upon entering, the staff did not acknowledge me. There were two ladies working, but I received no greeting whatsoever. One lady was working on the cakes and the other lady was working at the register. The woman who was at the register not only had no personality at all, but also did not have very good customer service skills. We then got our cake and I noticed it was fuschia as opposed to a lighter pink, which I specifically asked for. There was even a cake nearby that had a lighter pink. When I asked the associate why I wasnt given a lighter pink, the associate had the nerve to say its the same pink. How? She didnt even offer to fix the issue. But nonetheless the Hummingbird cake was moist, very flavorful, and sweet. It came out lovely and the birthday girl was happy.Would I go back, maybe, but I just wont expect them to be bubbly.

Went to the cake ATM and wish the cakes were labeled. Ended up getting the wrong cake. The Cake here wasn’t moist, it was dried out. Didn’t like the churchy inside the cake. Would not recommend

It was my sons first time and my second time going to Cake Bar. Customer service was not great. When the lady asked what kind of cake we wanted; I shared with her that is was my sons first time there. She just looked waiting for us to tell her which cake we wanted. She got the cakes and moved on to the next customer and I wanted to purchase 1 more cake as my son wanted to try several. It just seemed rather off putting and insensitive. The cakes were just ok. I have definitely had better. I will not be returning. I work too hard so when I choose to splurge I expect great service and great taste. Best of luck to them though.

I just had a piece of cake at work for my coworkers birthday- OMG I dont even like strawberry cake but I actually had two slices! It was not dry, it just was good, and no egg or dairy -im in! I cant wait to order a cake from here!

We enjoyed visiting the Cake Bar! We bought brownies, cookies, carrot cake and German Chocolate cake! Yummy! We tried to save the cake slices for after dinner, but we couldnt wait! The cake slices were delicious !

I ordered a half sheet cake for a baby shower, there were no decorations on the cake not even the Rosetta the outer boarder. Using the tip #10 and then they want to charge $10 extra for it I had to wait almost 30 minutes for the lady to come and add the details. This was my fist time ordering a cake I’m very very sad with the outcome. Lesson learn...

Everything is always fresh and delicious! They had an excellent and efficient outdoor setup for people just getting slices, too. Ill definitely be back!

We arrived at 8:11 PM and they were closed😫...luckily I was able to try out their cake vending machine! The only complaint I have is the chocolate cake was a bit small compared to the other slices of cake in the vending machine.

Cake Bar has been my favorite for about 3-4 years now!It has always been great and never disappointing. However, I was quite surprised when my birthday cake was not finished and dry (See Picture).My sister bought the cake and wasnt shown the cake at purchase, she was also in a rush and figured the pre-order was sufficient enough to have covered the full request i.e. topping.I was so disappointed seeing this cake! So much so, I didnt even want it anymore. Im big on the presentation! :(Anyway, we contacted them the following day and their first response was well, weve sold x amounts of cakes today and you have been the first complaint. That made me kind of frown...Anyway, we responded telling them that we had pictures as proof if need be-- they declined and instead gave us a store credit.We will be back, but with caution! I understand that their business is booming and doing great, but this cannot happen especially on special days like birthdays.We will continue to purchase our celebratory cakes here and look forward to future cakes.

Good cake but unreliable service. I put an order in on Tuesday for a Mother’s Day gift, and they canceled it on Saturday - at the exact time it was supposed to be delivered. Then they wouldn’t answer their phones to help me with my question. They left me in a bind for a Mother’s Day solution. Don’t count on them.

Im enjoying the key lime cake that Ive been hearing about. If I tell you that the flavor and moisture of this cake is unbelievably good you must take my word. This is my first visit with my family and it will not be the last.

I love Cake Bar. Its one of my top 3 cake places. Due to being part of a military family weve lived in several states. The owner is cordial and her staff professional. They are not going to coddle and fawn over anyone. Its not their style. Ive been there over a dozen times easily and the service is good. The cakes are always great.There is a line out the door because of the cakes. They dont have time to give customers in depth descriptions of their various cake flavors. The owner when she notices Im back will ask me when the cake will be served. I have traveled with her cakes as gifts. Everyone given a Cake Bar dessert raves about it.The cakes speaks for themselves. The german chocolate, humming bird, and italian cream are my favorites.

This was my first time coming here for my daughter‘s birthday cake everyone recommended this place to me but the experience I had when I went was horrible. I complained about the situation and it’s been three weeks now and I have not gotten a call back. I spoke to a person on the phone today she was way better than the other person attitude wise that I spoke to the first time and the other girl actually lied about her name . Only thing the girl from today sounded such in a rush couldn’t explain my full story because she kept putting me oh hold obviously asked me to tell her my story again because my information wasn’t forward it to the owners and again the owner has yet called me and it’s been three weeks. All she said was they will call you back send another email as I have email and left several messages and never got a call back so why send another email??

Deliciously moist and flavorful cakes, and the best part is they are sold by the slice so I was able to taste all my favorites! Service was fast and friendly and the bakery is nice and welcoming.

I can 100% thank Google for blessing me with this experience! I wanted to find a quick dessert place while celebrating my moms birthday. When we approached it was a small line only allowing four people in at a time. Outside of the window they had photos of their cakes. The staff was pleasant and some were happy singing. I loved the vibe. The cake was impressive. The icing complimented the cake so well by not being overly sweet. We ordered hummingbird, red velvet and, wedding cake. I have been telling all of my friends and family about this place. Extra kudos for finding out I supported a local black owned business. That made me very proud! This is a place that everyone can enjoy and leave happy. I am planning another visit very soon.

Was so looking forward to trying this place out but was so disappointed. The cake was awful. It was dry and tough as cardboard. The only decent part of the cake was the chocolate frosting.

Best cake I have ever tasted . They even have a rewards program . It’s gets busy at times with the long line on the weekend(moves fast). They have a vending machine for after hours(some times the doors get jammed and you can’t get the cake). The slices of cake are huge and normally take me multiple sittings to eat.Overall, I have never had better cake. The strawberry and red velvet are my favorites.

This is a great concept, a cake bar! I’m more of an ice cream guy, but this place was wonderful! The German Chocolate and Dark Chocolate were so moist, and the frosting complements the cake well. I also tried two cake balls, but the cake slices are much better, more moist and richer flavors. Go here with a large group so you can share and try more than one flavor. Highly recommended!
