The three gentlemen that came from two men and a truck from Crystal Lake Illinois were fantastic! They were professional courteous and fast! I hope their bosses notice that they need a new ramp for their truck! The poor guy suffered with a broken ramp. We received a competitive quote, but the difference for us was that one team was assigned to pick up, load, drive, and unload our household goods. No lost items, great care was taken, no scratches, no damaged walls, etc. The day of pickup a team showed up on time and worked well together to load our possessions quickly yet carefully. Honestly, the guys were very nice and efficient. My problem is they were unable to move my couch with the feet on because they said it wouldnt fit through the door frame.. (They couldnt get the feet off). My mother and father went the next morning and got it through the doorway (slanted) without a problem, WITH the feet on. My father was also able to get the feet off for safer transport. It just doesnt seem like the guys tried very hard and now Im stuck trying to figure out how to move my couches and have to put out additional money.

This is the first time weve had to use movers. I was very pleased with the 2 men who showed up early(I might add) , and ready to work. They were polite, pleasant, nice guys. We didnt have a lot, but they did the job quickly and cleanly in both the pick up and drop off area. On a Monday I’m notified my mom is accepted into Assisted Living but needs to move in on Wednesday, I was relieved Two Men and a Truck had availability. Quote and contract emailed directly to me for signing was timely. I called back because I forgot to mention the tv stand in the list and I was greeted by friendly staff and assured that wouldn’t affect the quote (and it didn’t) Movers arrived on time and were pleasant and efficient. Only had to go a short distance and had my mom all moved in a few hours. It’s stressful moving a parent into a facility and Two Men and a Truck Crystal Lake took some of the stress away, I am thankful and highly recommend.

I am very disappointed with this company. They had three guys show up the first day. Two of which were completely unprofessional. Complaining about every little thing. It was completely disrespectful not only to me but to my coworkers. They did not want to move certain items so the next day they sent another crew. These guys were awesome! No complaints and no problem moving anything we asked them to. While the first team was moving out items, I noticed they damaged a desk. I emailed them right away to get the problem solved. Here I am three months later. I reached back out to them. I received a phone call telling me they are not reliable because it is made of particle board and they dont move items or disassemble items made from this material. If that is the case why wouldnt anyone have said this sooner? Why move the desk and destroy it if you are not suppose to move these items? I am completely disgusted with the way this company runs. I will recommend University Movers to anyone in the area. They have better pricing, do not complain, and have never damaged my items and told me it was my fault.

Nick & Mike (2 young 23-year-olds) did a FAST job getting my furniture and boxes out of my house and garage and into my new place in exactly the places I asked them to put stuff. That saved me $$. From start to finish my experience was top notch. I was in a tough spot as the closing on my previous residence got held up after all my belongings were loaded on the truck. The manager of the Crystal Lake location let me store everything on one of their trucks over the weekend and delivered it once I closed on my new place. Scheduled on a days notice to move a living room sectional from a friends for my dad locally, also moved old furniture out. Great customer service on the phone and careful movers.

When the guys showed up, one was working very hard and moving fast. The other guy took almost an hour to take eight bolts off to take the bed frame apart.I know the furniture was heavy, that is why I hired professionals. That is not what I got. They damaged a door, and a night stand. Then said it must have been that way, as he was holding a piece of wood broken off the night stand he had wrapped in my plastic himself.It took them an additional 40 mins to get to the new place then what it took me.The neighbors at my old place just recently told me that the truck pulled over down the street and they guys got out, and went into the back of the truck for about 20 mins, what and why where the doing with my things?I called last week to ask questions, and was promised a call back. I have not heard back, and just left another message.Sometimes things happen, but what you do about it defines what kind of a business it is that you run. I hope to hear back soon.

Best pricing in the area! I was moving furniture from my home to my moms home and then my mom needed some heavier stereo equipment and boxes moved from her living room to her basement. Over the phone, everyone was very helpful with my questions about insuring electronics. I received a call the day before the move and again on the day of the move just to let me know theyre on their way. My mom dealt with the movers and I received several text messages during the move about how friendly and efficient the movers were and how they seemed to genuinely care for her belongings. A++

My son found a job and had to move very quickly. He called Two Men and a Truck, who was able to move him in one week. This was the easiest move we have ever dealt with and believe me we’ve had quite a few moves. The 3 men who came to move him were right on time. They were friendly nice guys who never stopped working. They were wonderful!!! Everything was treated respectfully, everything arrived in the condition it was in when moved. They actually over estimated the amount of time it would take, so my son paid less than he thought. I don’t think you could find better movers. Top notch from beginning to end. Highly recommend.

As a moving company “who truly cares” should not be exposing their own employees and customers. As we all know germs pass on very quickly. In this time of crisis TWO MEN AND A TRUCK should not be moving items. As far as I know both AURORA and CRYSTAL LAKE location ARE NOT taking care of their employees. Owners are lacking on their job we understand you are trying to make money but sending your employees drivers and movers to job sites unprepared without gloves and face masks , moving old people is UNACEPABLE!

Words can’t describe the terrible moving experience I had with Two Men and a Truck of Crystal Lake moving my 96-year-old Mom 3.8 miles away, from 1.5 rooms to 1 room. It took them 6.25 hours to move One Bed; One Small Desk; One Dresser (everything left in it); One tiny foldup table with 2 chairs; One Recliner Chair; One small nightstand; One curio cabinet. They packed: Small (30”) Bathroom cabinet with minimal things and some things on top; clothes closet with one rack of clothes plus about 4 small shelves of misc; sink cabinet which had about 3 things; kitchen counter (with 3 small 6” square trays with teabags); some misc. small. Thirteen total small/Medium boxes (although no one knows why they dumped desk contents into a box - totally unnecessary).They didn’t do any of the things requested like unpack the curio cabinet (which they had promised to bubble wrap but the movers say they never use bubble wrap so Joe should not have promised that) and didn’t even have paper to wrap the curio cabinet things because no one told them the details of the move.These two young men had no idea what they were doing. We “hired” professional movers and what we got were two young inexperienced men. They brought all 13 boxes into the room first, and then had no room to put the dresser or desk because the boxes were all in the way! It was a joke that wasn’t funny.They would bring up a load and leave and not come back for 15 to 20 minutes. So one time I went to see what was taking so long (15 min. had passed) and they were just leaving the building – don’t know what they were doing for 15 minutes in the building somewhere. And why did it take 20 minutes or more for each of the loads to come up – she’s the 2nd room off the elevator and the elevator is right off the main entrance!Bait and switch – quoted 4 hours for job, then wanted $1,069 to move 1.5 rooms 3.8 miles (omitted extra stop which would have added an additional hour) then his “boss” Ruben threatened to call the police if I didn’t pay on the spot with an invoice still charging the extra fee.And the boxes were not “packed” … everything was simply thrown in - Pillows on top of the vacuum cleaner head. Dumped the contents of the desk into a box rather than leaving it in the desk. Please don’t ever hire Two Men and a Truck of Crystal Lake. There was no reason this small move would have been 6.25 hours or even 4 if they had sent experienced movers.

They tried to tell me I needed two trucks when I only ended up needing one. They tried to tell me that I needed four guys when I only needed three. One guy tried to tell me it would take 6 hours for the three guys to load the truck and when I told him that was crazy, it would probably only take an hour because I only had furniture not boxes or little things, he called his boss and told him that I was only going to pay for the movers for an hour! The boss called me and I told him what I actually said. It ended up taking 3 guys 2 hours to load and they asked for smaller things to fill the truck so we gave them lamps and smaller chairs. When it was time to unload at my brand new home where the asphalt had not been laid yet, the movers started unloading without covering the carpet and got mud on it. I asked why they werent covering the carpet and was told that carpet shield costs an extra $20, I had never been told that and thought it would be common sense to cover carpet when walking on it with dirty shoes. I called the boss and told him they were getting mud all over my new carpet and he called the movers and told them to put the carpet shield down. My furniture was all delivered safely and unharmed but the attention to details and the professionalism was lacking.

I worked here for about 6 years and could tell you 50 ways they rip off customers. Whats even more sad is how they treat their employees....they give gift cards for good reviews. So if youre looking to move and it seems a little expensive somewhere else, there is a reason its more expensive. Pay the extra money and go to a business thats proud of their work/employees cause its definitely not here.

Guys were great, moved all my stuff safely and took great care! Even scheduled my move for New Years eve and they were able to accommodate. They were on time, and called to give me a heads up that they were on the way. From the first phone call, to the last encounter I recommend Two Men and a Truck.

Cant recommend them enough! Their quote was spot on and they finished about 20 minutes early. The guys arrived on the dot and were friendly and expedient. They were accommodating to my need for a separate storage unit stop last minute and cant beat their price. Side note, I managed a reputable apartment community for 5 years and never heard a bad thing from anyone. Dependable, local and ethical company.

All three guys worked very hard, were polite and easy to deal with. I was amazed how much work they did in the time they were here. We had some heavy pieces that had to go up a half flight of stairs, over a half wall at the top and around a tight turn. Done without a scratch! Impressive!

It was pouring rain, yet they kept all of my furniture dry. The items were on the truck in one hour and off loaded and placed correctly in my new place in one hour. Well worth the 3 hour minimum, best money I have ever spent. I would recommend them to anyone.

This was our first time using movers. We were 100% satisfied with the service provided. The 3 man crew did in 6 hours what would have taken us 5 days. The care they took with our furniture was impressive. They disassembled and reassembled our whole house in 6 hours. I cant say enough about how wonderful this moving experience was.

Couldnt have gone smoother. The estimate was right on, the movers showed up on time and met every request professionally and were very friendly.

My first experience was pretty decent although my recent experience was one of the worst. They arrived with only 3 medium boxes when they were told we would need some help with packing. They brought the smaller truck (or maybe the were hoping to get it all in). Their operations manager guy Rubin was extremely unprofessional and did not have a single clue of anything and was trying to jump in between and was very rude talking to me. It was a local move so they made a second trip and charged me for the second trip. When I asked this Rubin why am I being charged for the second trip his.wordings were do u want the second trip free well that was your fault not mine. I had a 1200 dollar estimate and I ended up paying 1600. I called thier sales manager (forgot.his nale) and.they had no courtesy for even to apologize or to work around it.I would not use them again ever. There is alot.of better companies out there. Dont waste your time and money here.

I booked 5hrs worth of work they showed up in a truck, came in looked said it would take longer then 5hrs and that they couldnt do it i beged tgem and the person over the phone to do it and as i was beging them over the phone they were smoking in the driveway and then they left. They didnt move anything they didnt do the 5hrs of work. I got a uhaul and my 15 year old brother and I moved everything in 6 and a half hours in a 17 truck. Sad part is I said I would pay more if it took longer and had a $40 tip for each. Lazy Pearson named Kevin showed up cried about having to do work called his boss and cancel the job.

Krue/zack/jeff moved my 85 year old mom, today in - 15 degree weather.I was truly blessed to get this team. they were awesome, kind, careful, altra considerate. they took great care in packing and moving her precious possessions. very professional, and boy did they move fast. pricing was very very reasonable, I feel like i got the deal of a lifetime.

Place is a joke. my family had them move us from huntley to lake in the hills and the kept asking me and my younger brother to move things and do thing for them. My family biught them food they smoked and left buds all over and still acted rude to us.

They where the greatest to work with on time and very good no problems at all.

Worst management. nice movers who showed up.however they misquoted the move. underestimated time and cost. damaged floors in both the moved and new home. i asked 2 weeks after move when it would be fixed and told be patient. I am not the only one. what does that say? how many damaged homes ?they dumped my books on floor and took pics. showed manager and agreed should not have been done. sent couple extra guys to speed move. but never should have been done in 1st place.terrible. never would recommend.

I used 2 Men and a Truck for a move, and will never recommend them ever again!First off, they showed up 1 hour late..and when the movers finally showed up. they smelled like Marijuana,Cigarettes and Booze, and looked like vagrants. the only coherent one dropped a Family Heirloom and a Historical Piece worth 100k combined, and then proceeded to laugh about it? then the driver tried saying it wasnt their fault, because the mover at fault was a trainee. to this day the insurance I paid for, has not paid for anything!NEVER AGAIN!
