Excellent tea. Excellent coffee. FABULOUS treats. But...very scary regarding covid. Crowded. Low ceilings. Very small cute place. NOT A MASK IN SIGHT or social distancing in effect.

Cozy atmospher great for studying or just hanging out. The oatmeal is yummy and you get a HUGE bowl you will not walk away hungry. We enjoyed a cup of tea with almond milk.

Very courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming, and accommodating staff, delicious coffee, paintings for sale, open mic nights on Saturday! Definitely worth checking out! My family is beyond grateful!

This was my first visit here but my daughter, who was with me, visits here often. I had The Goat Latte but without the Latte so I basically had light roasted coffee w/ vanilla, hazelnut & cinnamon (which was incredibly well balanced & very flavorful) & ate a blueberry bagel w/ plain cream cheese which was good but nothing to write home about. The ambiance is very cozy w/ soft minimal lighting, interesting artwork, couches, & tables. You feel as if you have walked into someones living room, very welcoming & cozy albeit just slightly cramped w/ floor space which actually contributes to the coziness. It is slightly more expensive than I expected as 2 coffees & 2 bagels came to around $13-14 w/ tax but I never mind paying extra for quality & comfort, especially for local small businesses.The server & cashier were very friendly & hospitable. The cashier was very, very accommodating as I didnt necessarily want a Latte but more of a flavored light roasted coffee, which is exactly what I got. I would highly recommend this place for a 2-4 people meet for coffee place. I plan on a return visit to try another menu item & a different non-Latte flavored coffee drink.

Super busy, food was good coffee was a bit weak. Iced white cholate American but was watery. Hipster type place kind ppl. Summer time expect to see ladies little under dressed.. not sure if thats a a star up or down..lol

I enjoyed our little visit around the Crown Point Square! We saw all kinds of store fronts and then we got a bit thirsty. We came in to SIP. I had a green tea latte made with coconut milk and cookie dough frapuccino with whip cream. We loved the art and the eclectic seating but the wonderful customer service takes the cake!! We recommend coming on Sunday for a low key visit. Delicious! 😋

Our favorite coffee shop by far!! They have everything and all their pastries are handcrafted or made by someone locally! I love supporting small businesses especially when they make everything homemade! Plenty of vegan options and vegan pastries. Wonderful staff! They explain and go out of their way. And, with everything going on ie covid, I feel safe here. They take precautions and insure people follow the guidelines. The local art is neat! Favorite coffee place and establishment! And love that they always have cute named and tasty different offerings everytime we go in! The macaroons are amazing!

You can’t beat the coffee here!! I’m obsessed with the almond joy iced latte! The best part is, I can always count on it to be the same every time! The food is also wonderful! The gourmet goat melt is definitely a favorite!! Overall, Sip is the best coffee in the area! Nothing even comes close!!

First time here, and I enjoyed the casual atmosphere with the easy chairs and couches. I have to try the French onion soup everywhere I go and Im happy to report theirs is delicious! The cheese and apricot jam was a nice introduction to our meal. It inspired me to try the grilled cheese with goat cheese, bacon, and apricot jam (also delicious). Would definitely return when in the area again!

Got rerouted off the interstate to avoid traffic and decided to drop in for coffee. This is a gem and if we were locals we would be here all the time. Friendly staff, great chill vibes inside, funky art to grab your attention, and best of all, creative and delicious latte choices. We got the s’mores and Nutella lattes and were impressed with both. Great coffee spot!

I really LOVE this place. Its about 30 minutes from me but I choose this place over closer coffee shops because of the staff, choice of drinks and very laid back environment. They have outside seating and a very comfortable inside with couches and random sitting that just feels unique. They also have amazing art from local people all over. Not to mention you can relax, plug your electronics in and do work or just chat with friends for as long as you want. Its where Ive been going to write and get out of my head since Ive been dealing with extreme anxiety. Im quite blessed this place exists!

Im not much of a coffee aficionado nor do I get out too often these days, but I come in here for work sometimes and the staff is the friendliest in town/extremely welcoming to everyone! I highly recommend anyone who lives in Crown Point or is just stopping through to stop by Sip and take in the atmosphere. As someone who was born here, its super nice to see a place like this in town!! It feels like a quintessential gathering place for the entire town. Super cool

Their coffee is AMAZING! They have a really good breakfast bagel, along with their egg salad.

I went about a week ago and was met by a rude server, whom did not seem to care at all about treating his tables with respect. When I asked how much longer on my food he had an attitude with me, this was not the only thing that made me upset. The food tasted old, or like it had been sitting for quite a while. Also, the drink I had tasted like burnt espresso, and I was charged a dollar for some liquid sugar which was rung up as a flavor shot, i paid cash. I will not be returning for cheap tasting coffee and over priced “artisan” cafe food.

Excellent quaint place to have lunch with family + friends

Ive been about three times and the coffee was great. I am new to the area and was very excited to see a place that displays and sells local art.While I was in there I asked about how one may go about getting their art displayed and they took my number and said the owner would call but I havent heard back. It was the second time I inquired about displaying my art. Its not like they saw my art and wasnt interested...I never got a chance to show them any of it.Also, the last time I went in there the girl behind the counter didnt say a word as I stood at the register... Didnt say, Can I help you or whatll you have. She just looked at me. I guess that means for me to order but it sure would have been nice to be greeted with words.I may try again cause it could be that they lost my number or arent taking any new art but management should call and say that. Also the girl at the counter may have just had a bad day.I hope it WAS a fluke cause the coffee sure was good.

Great coffee, VERY slow service. We wanted to try this one because we were tired of the terrible service at the Highland location. Unfortunately, even though the décor inside is a lot nicer and warm and welcoming, the service is still just as brutally slow as it is in Highland. Both locations feel like there is no manager present running the show making sure orders get filled. Like ships without a captain.

We are new to the area and so happy Crown Point has a off the beaten path coffee shop. If your looking for a cute little coffee shop with character, eclectic decor and friendly staff then here you go. They also have a board with local art centered events.

Worst service Ive ever had!!! Our food took forever and when we asked the staff about how much longer itd take (after seeing everyone after us receive what they ordered) they proceeded to make excuses and YELL AT US saying that, they were busy and it was just too bad we had to wait (sarcastically) and it wasnt their fault they were doing their be. Specifically a staff member named Alex. I will never go there again. Too overpriced for the ridiculous service we got. Will never go back!!!!

This is the second day in a row that Ive asked for nitro cold brew and Im given regular cold brew instead. Note in the photo the lack of a foamy head or any opacity from the lack of nitrogen?Please give me what I ask for? Im not sure if its because they are not listening to me or whatever. I didnt finish my coffee yesterday and I guess Ill have to finish this one so I didnt waste $12+ dollars.The Lorraine bagel is amazing! The food is great!

Coffee and food 5 stars, service 1 star. It shouldn’t take over 45 minutes for a sandwich. But problem isn’t the workers, they seem to be doing the best they can but just understaffed for a lunch hour

Perfect place to study the rise and fall of the Qing Dynasty. Also great for other occasions, of course. The food was good, the coffee and tea were delicious! I love that they also sell loose leaf tea. I picked up some called Hot Mama today which tastes remarkably like Red Hot candies. The atmosphere was amazing. I felt so comfortable, I was able to study two hours without a break and I still feel relaxed. The service was also excellent. I will definitely be returning!

Sips is a gem in the area. It has amazing unique coffees and teas they switch up periodically. The food is also a great addition which always tastes fresh and comforting. The staff have always been great and Ive never left disappointed. They usually show local artists work as well and usually are selling it.

The place needs to replace the ceiling tiles, the Macchiato was a lil stiff, but my daughter ❤d their hot cocoa and macadamia cookie.Its got a hobo chic vibe with the muted colors and antique-esque art

I love this place. From its decor to the drinks served, all of it is well thought out and delightful. Great food, great drinks but my favorite thing of all about Sip is that they throw a handful of parmesan cheese on everything🤩 breakfast sandwiches? Parmesan. Lunch combo? Parmesan. Side of pasta salad? Parmesan. Its so incredible, I LOVE IT.?

This small chain is now a staple of the greater NWI community.Their service has always been top tier, I’m never waiting long for my food and all the staff are kind and willing to answer questions about the menu.The food and drinks are nothing short of excellent. Their half sandwich, half soup/salad offers a perfect variety for a meal.If you’re looking for a place to dine in the area, I’d say this place every time.

Decided to try after a Chicago food show had showcased them. Figured if a city renown for having the best food in the wold came all the way to Crown Point there must be something to it. Well they were right. The doughnuts are the best I’ve ever had. Pretty elaborate too and very filling. If you’re going to eat not so healthy food then make it count and you won’t be disappointed here!

They have an EXCEPTIONAL cold Chai tea that I love. So good. 👍🏻 some of their artwork is pure propaganda and some is pure inspirational

Good atmosphere but coffee is burnt and tastes like trash. The breakfast sandwich is 95% bread garnised with an old orange and wilted spinach.

I have been going to this place for years. Located in the crown point square.Theres delicious food and a variety of amazing coffees. I like to get the iced honey bee coffee and the hobbit sandwich! The atmosphere is super cool with lots of unique art and vintage furniture. I wish there were more places as like this!

Great food and the best coffee

My girl and I love going here for both breakfast and lunch. The breakfast sandwiches are phenomenal for the price. The overall vibe is really cool, its informal but the service you receive is still awesome. You can go up to the counter and order or you can just sit down and theyll come to you. The staff is really cool too. Theyre all generally really friendly and positive.

Thought I was going some place else, but happily ended up here. Friendly, relaxed staff fit the overall feel of the place. An eclectic mix of art, food, coffee/coffee drinks, (y mas beverages) and people. My favorite!Had a tremendous bowl of French Onion Soup and a Peanut Butter and Chocolate Mocha. This is one of those place that makes me happy to be in, though I never feel like Im the target audience - kinda like when Im watching Vice. Make the trip or stop when in downtown Crown Point.

I found this place to be very welcoming and a place you can just relax and talk.It had a variety of drinks and the staff was very nice. If you want somewhere to talk with a friend or significant other and just relax on their chairs or couches this is the place to go. A true upbeat coffee place!

Nearly a dollar upcharge for a milk alternative is absolutely insane and archaic.

We walked in to order coffee and wait for more people to join us, we were asked to wear mask, however we have medical exemptions, when we told the staff this they said we could go out side and wait and they would come get our order.They referred to the local mask mandate as a law but appeared to not understand the exemptions status of those with medical conditions.I will be reporting them to the department of justice for violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Little too old for this crowd, but not a bad place. Given a choice between Sip and Starbucks Id choose Sip. Service was friendly and people were nice, deserts looked tasty.

Courteous staff and delicious breakfast. The drinks are absolutely delicious. The lattes are not too sweetened, just enough to taste and let the coffee shine through. The inside is colorful and unique but also has an antique feel. Perfect fit to Crown Points feel. Absolutely recommend this!

Coffee very good. Like the Red Eye. Food I like the Bacon Twist that has goat cheese. Sometimes the wait staff can be a little on the slow side and dbl checking on a the table but nothing crazy. All n all great place!

My favorite coffee house since Ive moved to Crown point, been going there for 5 years they never disappoint.

Asked random young people on the street where to go for coffee, and this was the place. Came in from out of town and had a wonderful time sitting on the sidewalk with the crowd. The only catch, they were so busy, and maybe understaffed in the kitchen, that it took us 30 minutes to get our coffee drinks. Kudos to them for having a really Dynamic shop.

Strong millennial vibes but you can get work done here while enjoying a great sandwich or salad. Ive enjoyed every drink they serve but the coffee is legit. They sell dark matter coffee which is probably my favorite coffee period. Im here every week at least once.The only negative thing is ive been here multiple times and been approached by students doing their political pilgrimage wanting you to support their extreme liberal guy or girl... if you say no thank you you basically get hexed. This isnt the coffee shop but the shop is a regular target lol. Beware, tell them your dont speak English. They will really avoid you if you tell them you are a conservative.
