When a customer comes in tell them about the promotions and options upfront!!!! People in customer service should know how to communicate effectively. Dont just place a warm body in a position to fill a job. Not a good experience.

First off Mrs. Julie is amazing. Awesome helpful staff. Clean units inside and out. Love the fact that the facility is gated. Excellent prices that dont increase like public storage does. Awesome facility and customer service!

Called on very short notice. Julie did an amazing job and was very helpful. She accommodated my short notice and had me in a truck within 20 minutes. I wish they had more stars to give this company. We have used this location on multiple occasions and always very happy.

I don’t think I have have left a review for a company before but I had to take a minute to say what an awesome experience we had at this U-Haul location. Julie the manager went above and beyond and just overall made a difficult process (moving) sooooo much easier! I would highly recommend this location. Thank you for all of your help!

Clean unit. Helpful and friendly staff. Helped me figure out how to find my unit and how to use the gate! Satisfied knowing Im storing my things at this facility.

I ended up needing to transfer to a larger truck at the last minute and this facility did not have that available but Julie went above and beyond to find another location close by that did. She was such a pleasure to work with, incredibly friendly and customer focused. I really appreciate her easing my stress right before an out of state move.

If I could give 0 stars I totally would. Please read the similar experiences below and save yourself from the headache. I did the online pick up for my truck rental but when I got there are still had to go in and wait almost 45 minutes to get through the process of checking out my vehicle. The person explained almost nothing to me and finally pulled the truck around front and just hand me the keys with one little sheet of paper. The truck rental was supposed to be $40 for the day and I was using it for less than 50 miles so it should have cost me a round of 75 to $80. When I got back in return the trug it took me another good bit to actually get someone to take the keys... The person was on the phone and literally just said dropped the keys youre good. The next day I get hit with over $155 in charges and I reach out to speak with the manager. She says I drove more miles them what they estimated and they charged me for the insurance that I very clearly denied, but the major kicker was how much they had charged me for gas to refill less than a quarter tank which I was not even told I would be charged for. After arguing for several days in being told I would get refunded the insurance I still have not received anything back. Moral of the story here is that if you rent from here expect to pay more than double the price

Busy weekend so there are no trucks available now with 30 miles.They said they called, but I got no calls and they definitely had my correct number in their system since they had my account linked to it when I called.

I was looking for moving supplies. Staff was very helpful with recommendations. They had a nice supply products on hand. Appreciated their return policy on unused supplies. Also have nice climate controlled facilities.

You may drive by! At first glance the place looks more like a storage unit place, which it is. You will notice the gates and the very tiny parking area before you realize that - yes this is also the U-Haul truck rental place. There are 5 very tight parking places outside the store front which also kind of block your perception of this is where I am to enter, if any vehicles are already there.People are nice and helpful, just slow down and look; even using GPS if this is your first time going here.

Swipe cards were not activated after 2 separate requests. Had to call after hours and thankfully was resolved over the phone by adding a code which we prefer. Carts are free to use which is great but frequently missing. Staff is always friendly.

Went back to them again gave me free used boxes. Thanks

I visited two Uhaul dealers in that area but only the pleasure of meeting one and thats this one. Although this dealer didnt have what I was looking for they were friendly, funny, and extremely helpful at my time of need. If I ever need a Uhaul while in that area this will be the only one I rent from. I like the down to earth and friendly atmosphere type of businesses and thats exactly what you will get from here.

When we got the van the tank was not at full but the paper work said it was. When I addressed this with the staff they said it was reading incorrectly, but really was full. We did not drive very far with it and when we went to put gas in it after using it, filled the tank and the gas gauge showed at full. We put 7 gallons in it and if we really used that much gas it meant the van only gets 4 miles to the gallon.Also, the drive way we cramped with no available parking. They only had 3 regular spots and one handicapped spot. They told us to park in the animal hospital parking becauseshould probably be fine.

Uhaul tells you $20 a day, and end up charging you $100. I moved literally 5 miles down the road and only made 2 trips with the truck. My bill came out to $75, plus the gas I had to fill the tank. They hit you with “rental” charges and per mile charges. You are much better sticking with another company such as budget trucks. This place will rip you off with their false advertisement. So at the end of the day, if you rent the truck and leave it sit in their parking lot, you’ll pay $20. If you’re actually moving things and driving the truck you’re going to pay WAY more.

Just rented a truck here yesterday. Drove it almost the exact miles we estimated and informed uhual of the day we rented. We returned the truck full and on time. However we were charged almost $200 when we should have been charged $45! I called them and they tried to convince me multiple times that we drove over a 120 miles more than we actually did. It cost me $5 to fill the tank before returning it but somehow they continued to try and convince me I drove 170 miles instead of 30! Finally after complaining enough and making it extremely clear I DID NOT drive 170 miles the manager said she’d look into it and see if there was a mistake and what’d u know, there was and they over charged us by $130 and now in the middle of moving we have to wait for 3 days or so to get our money back they should have never taken!!! This place is shady, rude and clearly people don’t know how to do their job or they are intentionally ripping people off! They then acted like they were doing me a favor for giving me my money back! Go anywhere else but here!

The size truck that I had reserved was not available on the morning of the pickup. The team at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Lake Norman gave me a larger vehicle at the same rate as the smaller one. They also threw in some dollys and blankets as a courtesy. They were super apologetic and very willing to make things work for me. I really appreciated their attitude and the way they turned an otherwise negative experience (which was out of their control) to a very positive one. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a moving truck.

I reserved a 7.5x10x10 unit online, but I wasnt sure the size would work so I went to look at the unit in person. I decided to move to a 10x10x10 and the guy showing me around said he would take care of changing the reservation. 2 weeks later when the office called to confirm the reservation, it turns out he had not changed the reservation and the unit I had looked at was taken. There were other units available, but the price had gone up. I then decided to put my credit card on file to make sure the rate wouldnt change and unit would be available when it came time for me to move in. The next morning, I then recieved a confirmation email saying that the rate had gone up AGAIN after I had offered up my credit card to lock everything in. The office seemed generally disinterested in making it right so I cancelled my reservation and went with another company that had the same size and still climate controlled for $20 cheaper per month. My advice would be to only book the day you are moving in because reserving online, according to the woman who called me, is only to give them some sort of idea about how many units they have reserved, it doesnt guarantee the customer anything. Very disappointed.

READ THE REVIEW IT COULD SAVE YOU A LOT OF MONEY. (9/2017)I would give this place no stars if i could. To give you some background on why i feel this way. I was moving to Mooresville from Cornelius with by the way makes me a local. I choose my move out date for a Saturday evening. I pick up the truck at 4:50pm that same evening bought it back at 9:02. So a little more than 3 and a half hours of borrowing the truck.( NO Damages and put gas back in it. in total the move should have cost $73.45 My move almost went smoothly. However my account on Monday was charged 3 time for a total or 245 dollars. I called up there and had to fight with them for 4 days. Side note Suasan and Amy there Assistant manager are very rude and unprofessional. By the time i had, had it with the entire situation it was Thursday at this point Amy told me that she didnt believe me and too send her proof for my bank statements even though previously admitting they charged me for 3 days instead of 1( why should i have to pay for one of your employees mistakes) . I am a mom with 3 kids i cant just loss 245 dollars and not notice. so i call corporate and had them handle it. Their Corporate office sided with me said that their behavior violated all of uhual polices. Moral of the story DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!!! SAFE YOURSELF THE TIME, THE TROUBLE, THE AGGRAVATION AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE MONEY!!! RUN as far and as FAST AS YOU CAN RENT ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!!!!

Dont Rent From here! They Will charge you for things that didnt happen. Amy is extremely unprofessional and will not keep her word. I rented from here once and never again . Should have just got a truck from lows or home-depot . If you are Considering somewhere else do it. IT CANT BE WORSE THAN HERE!!!!
